Had to ask for room to be cleaned repeatedly. Had to make my own bed change my own sheets. Go down to the front desk to get towels. Had to get key cards rekeyed everyday. Asked 3 times to get the garbage changed before they did it on the third day of our stay. Overall I felt like if I wanted anything done it took at least 24 hours. Bed had a sagging mattress and hotel is located directly off the freeway so the traffic noises are really loud, especially if your room faces the freeway. Other than that, the check in/check out process was very quick, staff were very nice and the price was very affordable. I would stay there again.

The hotel is very close to the airporte. The rate was great and the room is what you would expect for the rate. The hotel is very close to the interstate and there is a steady hum of traffic all night. This didn't bother me, but for some I'm sure it would lead to a restless night!

Breakfast wasn't superstar breakfast as mentioned. Always same and not much choices and...no eggs. Location was convenient to shopping centers but it is located near highway, so it was noisy at night. Maid service everyday, good/helpful staff.

I have stayed at many super 8 motels. This is by far the worst Super 8 I have ever stayed at. The top cover on the beds and the carpet smelled like moth balls and a nursing home. The beds were royally hard, none of us could sleep that night. The online inquiry before booking the motel said it had a pool, yet it was an outdoor pool only once we got there […] (all other places of stay stated whether it was outdoor only or not, and it did not post a picture of the pool to determine otherwise, There was no fan in the bathroom and the toilet was clogged that my husband ended up taking care of versus the staff. The stay that we had was average, nothing spectacular and nothing absolutely horrible. We found an amazing Mexican restaurant tucked away behind the McDonalds, which was less than half a mile away. The beds weren't too comfortable and you can hear the road noise in the room. This didn't bother me too much but I can see how it could bother some.

The staff was accomodating, they held some winter clothes I had a friend drop off for me before I arrived (this is Wisconsin, afterall). I was in Madison for one night, and I wasn't going to be in my room very much so I was looking for an inexpensive place to sleep and get ready the next morning. This hotel met my low expectations. I read other reviews that talked about cleanliness, and I was hoping I'd have a different experience, but I didn't. You could tell where the cleaning staff […] didn't bother to vacuum as there was some reminders from the previous guests on the floor, one of the end tables had a dried, red sticky substance on it, and the bathtub looked like they just wiped the dirt around the bottom of the tub and called it a day. But, I've seen a lot worse so I just avoided the visibly dirty parts of the room. I also read complaints about the highway noise. I stayed on the side that faces the highway, and while you can hear the traffic, it certainly isn't loud enough to keep you up at night. It's conveniently located right off US-151 with easy access to I-39/90 and I-94. The drive to the Capitol is a straight shot on Washington Ave, which runs parallel to the hotel (takes about 15 minutes). I did not try the breakfast, but saw the area - it looked like your typical cold cereal, coffee machine kind of set up. The staff was really helpful. I was debating taking a cab to where I was going and the front desk person gave me very detailed advice and check out took seconds. All in all, if you're looking for a place to sleep, I would recommend it. Just keep your expectations low. Read more

The hotel was alright. We had already reserved a room and were checked in rather quickly, the attendant was very nice. However, when we went to our room we saw that it had not been housecleaned; the bed was unmade, there was trash on the table and towels on the floor. I immediately called the attendant and told him; he told us to go to the front desk […] so he could give us a different room. I appreciated that he did that, but we were on the second floor and it was a bit of a hassle to have to drag our luggage with us. The clerk who checked us in was grumpy but was able to compensate for the fact that the Expedia people did not pass on the information that we were travelling with a pet. He had to change our room from a single king size bed to a room with two double size beds and did so without increasing the rate. Overall it is better than Motel 6 which borders on feeling unsafe as well as stinky even though it is the cheapest. It is also better than Econo lodge which has ok accommodations but strikes us as too expensive. We will probably use Super 8 in Madison again. One additional suggestion for improvement is to provide better upkeep of the pet walking area. It looks like a dumping ground. Read more

I had a pleasant stay,the room was clean and comfortable.The only problem that I can think of is the front door didn't have a very good seal to it so you could hear a lot of traffic noise and was a little drafty.Other than that I stayed 2 nights and had a pleasant experience.Would definitely stay there on my next visit to the area!

We stayed at this Hotel so we did not have to get up at home at 5 in the morning to get to Madison for the Badger Game. The idea was to get some extra sleep before a long day of Football and partying. Right at 5 in the morning in our Hotel Room the Clock Radio blasted me out of bed and of course had to turn on lights and try to figure out how to turn […] it off. At this point I am now wide awake. Could of saved ourselves a lot of money and just stayed at home to get up at 5. I think Housekeeping in Hotels should make sure those alarms are not set to go off when cleaning the rooms. We ended up being really tired that day because of it. The Soda Machine also did not work on our floor. Great location tho and would stay again if needed. I wouldn't stay there again. The room was too small and our son didn't have room to do much of anything. The pictures on the walls were dirty. There were holes in the sheets. Our freezer was taped closed because there was so much frost on it that it wouldn't close. If you're looking for a cheap room it's fine. But not for someone with kids.

This hotel is a great place to stay for just a night or so. Our shower was cold, but the room was clean. The bed was also very hard. Getting to the hotel is a bit confusing. The breakfast was pretty good. Nothing fancy. If I'm driving through Madison again, I don't think I would stay here again.

Not sure why others rated this hotel in a bad neighborhood, it is right next to several other, higher priced hotels. The hotel was clean, staff was friendly and the beds were nice and firm. Get a top floor room, on the ground floor EVERY footstep is heard. Very convenient location w/ lots of stuff around (e.g., shopping, restaurants). A bit to much "air freshener" in the room. Didn't make it smell clean, just made me wonder what it was covering up. Overall, it is what it is, and you get what you pay for.
