We had a little trouble with the shuttle to the hospital, but overall the staff took care of the problem. Very attentive staff, and very nice hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
On a nicer day, the hotel would be easily walkable to the Inner Harbor and even Penn Station, but because this was November, it was a little cold for that. Other than that, there wasn't a whole lot to do in the immediate area, if that's what you're looking for. The room itself was large and clean with no real problems to speak of. The bed was super-comfortable. […] The hotel bar on the second floor overlooks the lobby area -- may have been fun, but when waiting in the lobby you can clearly hear some of the louder patrons, which isn't that great. All of the staff, from the front desk clerks to the cleaning crew, were top notch. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The room had a funny smell but it was big and very nice. The complimentary breakfast and omelet bar is delicious!! And take advantage of the complimentary happy hour. I would definitely stay again!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"A sort shuttle trip to Johns Hopkins hospital"
The first thing I found out was that there was no hotel parking. If you parked yourself you had to go next door and pay $16. If the hotel parked it for you they went next door and it cost you $32. They ended the free cocktails and snacks at 7:20 PM. The cocktails were not an issue. There was a full platter of hummus and crab cocktail but no crackers. […] I had to threaten the cook with the manager. We got some crackers. The people were nice, the breakfast the next morning was wonderful. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
It seems as though the renovations mentioned in other reviews are complete. The hotel looks very well kept. Room: we were on the 36th floor and had a great view. The only downside was that we were right next to the elevator which was a bit noisy for maybe 5 seconds intervals several minutes apart. Not really a huge deal and didn't interrupt with our […] sleep. Breakfast: The weekend breakfast (Sunday), was phenomenal. They had two omelet stations with very personable chefs, steam tables of pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage links, and oatmeal. There was also an assortment of bagels, muffins, danishes, etc... in addition to a selection of coffee and tea. The breakfast hours for the weekend different than the weekday hours. (We missed it on Monday by getting down there by 10am). The hotel also runs a happy hour in the afternoon but we did not partake. We did eat at the Bistro bar. The food was great. Burger was super juicy for a well done, the Mac and cheese was very creamy and the wings as spicy as advertised. Leslie the bartender was very friendly and went out of her way to make a mudslide and a flavored margarita that normally isn't found on the file. All in all a great trip made better by the hotel. When we visit Baltimore again we will absolutely be staying here. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Pleased with most hospitality staff"
Some of the power outlets were not functional making things somewhat awkward for computer usage and other electronics requiring charging. The kitchen staff preparing the omelets during breakfast service were not as accomodating as they could be and could use a better attitude in serving. The options for breakfast and Happy Hour were more limited than […] other Embassy Suites. For example, there was no salsa for the omelets, there was a limited variety of fruit, the snacks for happy hour were not appetizing or varied. However, the servers during happy hour were very acccomodating, as well as the manager of hospitality services. He made every attempt to account for any discomfort during our stay. "A Pleasant Surprise!"
I am one of those people who review stays like a performance review--- not many, if any, get a "5." "4s" exceed expectations, and this is what the Embassy did. The renovation that I had been reading about is complete, or very near complete. It seems to me that the constructive feedback I read on prior reviews was addressed--- the staff is friendly, […] attentive--- it started with Colby, who checked us in. He dutifully commiserated with us over the Orioles loss, and never lost his smile for a minute. He put us in a clean, nice room, that made me almost wish I could stay in Baltimore longer than we did (there's always next year!). The staff that met us for breakfast kept the busy room neat, and constantly filled with foods for all. The hotel location is maybe two blocks outside more of the mainstream tourist type activity, but that was fine. We walked to Camden Yards, and it is an easy, healthy walk. The only other observation I have is that it is an older hotel that has been renovated, and there are some things that a renovation-- even the a very good one--- which this is--- cannot address. My comment is centered on some water pipe noises--- heard only once. The circulation in the room is A+, and you can open a window--- something I love. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Near downtown area. Hire new maintenance manager."
Stayed for a week while dropping daughters in area universities. Valet parking personel, the first to greet you, were always friendly and very helpfull. In general, the staff was friendly and well mannered. But, the hotel is in sore need of a mayor overhaul, or recruit a new maintenance manager with a good budget. Housekeeping made the beds, and placed […] new towels daily, but felt that they never vacumed or cleaned the rooms. Could be that rugs were too old. Left several messages at the front desk complaining about clugged bathtub drain, but after 2 days ended doing it myself. Whoever was cleanning the bathrooms should have noticed the problem. Called Front desk about a mayor hot water problem bleeding to the cold water system while you shower, I was told to leave the cold water faucets running to flush the system out of hot water. I left cold water faucets running for three hours, while having dinner, and problem continued. They never came to inspect. Bye the way the beds were comfortable Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Perfect family hotel for Baltimoare"
We had a fabulous time at the Embassy Suites-Inner Harbor. We were there over the Labor Day weekend with 1 and 3-year-old grand-daughters. The two-room suite was so spacious that there were plenty of play areas, both in the floor, on the ottoman, and on the banquet-sized dining room table. Additionally, there was enough room for nap times in separate […] rooms. The breakfast buffet was better prepared and more varied than at any hotel in our recent memory, and even though we ate in the hotel restaurant only once, the crab cakes were much better than at Phillip's. But above and beyond all of those positive memories--the staff was so kind and solicitous of our varied needs. Some folks complained about the smallness of the bathrooms, but there was a tub in one that became the kids' bathroom and a larger bathroom with a shower that served the needs of the adults. The hotel is a 10 minute walk from the Inner Harbor attractions, so we walked instead of spending money on close-in parking. For adults Charles Street restaurants were just around the corner. I can't imagine that staying in the waterside hotels for twice the price would have provided even half the joy of staying in this hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Nice Hotel Close to Inner Harbor"
We highly enjoyed our stay at Embassy Suites. We loved the buffet breakfast and the very friendly staff there. Our room was very spacious with a nice sofa. Upon check-in, the staff was very courteous and asked us if we wanted to stay on a higher floor or a lower one. They also explained to us about the breakfast buffet as well as the daily happy hour […] with free drinks and hors d'oeuvres. Although we weren't able to make it to the free drinks/hors d'oerves due to being out and about, we enjoyed the option at least. The gym was quite nice and spacious. This hotel was great. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The room I stayed in (2 bedroom suite) was so much more than I thought it would be, made me want to stay in and hangout in the room. Hotel was within walking distance to the habour. The only negative comment was the hotel bar was insanely priced, we ordered a 12 pack of miller lite to go […] and had one soco and Pepsi drink and the bill was $57. Besides that it was great! Very nice hotel, the staff was very friendly and informative. If you want to know where to go to eat and how to get around just ask the valet. With the help of these guys I was able to navigate my way in the city using the free bus shuttle (stop located in front of hotel). This is huge considering parking in downtown Baltimore is expensive. Two queen […] size bed room with a kitchen, it would have been nice if they left us silverware, napkins and garbage bag for kitchen. A larger fridge would have been better, but it was what I expected, very clean, quiet and it had a small outside pool as well. Response by Embassy Suites Baltimore - Inner Harbor Dear Guest, Thank you for your review. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed our close proximity to popular Baltimore attractions. It seems the size of our pool did not meet expectations but please be aware of the incredible amount of amenities we have to offer our guests at the hotel. "great until you really look"
We were really happy with the look of the room and the space in our two bedroom suite but upon closer look we were surprised at the rough shape of the decor.. Chair upholstery was ripped, a mirror had a metal piece that stuck out and just needed to be glued, vases were cracked, carpets stained, furniture scratched, etc.Genuine Expedia guest review
Response by Embassy Suites Baltimore - Inner Harbor Dear Guest, Thank you for your review. We are glad you appreciated our central location and spacious guest room suite. However, it disappoints us to learn if you discovered upholstery that appeared to be damaged. staff was great - buffett was awesome- location was a little far from all the happenings at the HARBOUR so took alot of cabs- our room need maintenance but was very spacious - lobby had parts under construction like the deli mart which was closed - happy hour every night was nice - the only bad thing was the elevators are terribly slow and smallGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Embassy Suites Baltimore - Inner Harbor Dear RAY, Thank you for your review. We are very pleased to learn how much you enjoyed our buffet breakfast at B'More Bistro. The part of the lobby that is currently undergoing construction is where Starbucks will be going very soon. Also, please be aware that since we are an older building, our elevators are smaller than other traditional hotels. Sometimes due to check-in and check-out times at the hotel, our elevator tends to slow down. It would be a pleasure to welcome you back again soon. Be Well, Guest Services

"Staff didn't seem to care enough"
My check-in experience was the worst part of my stay. i tried to drop off my car for valet but there was a car in front of me waiting for valet while no valet was present to take car of his car, so instead of waiting, i did self park. As I walked into the hotel lobby, the check-in desk area was very small so it did not look like I was supposed to check-in […] there. There was no sign anywhere to suggest that it was the check-in desk. There was no one behind it, but there were three staff members talking among themselves in front of it. They did not seem to notice me or pay any attention to guests walking through the door. I proceeded to the elevator looking for the check-in lobby floor and realized that i was actually already on that floor. So i went back and asked at the small "desk" area and then I was told that it was the check-in desk. Despite my two heavy luggages, they did not seem to think that I could use some help. In addition to all that has already happened, after the check-in paperwork was done, they still did not offer a bellhop for the luggages. Things went fine once I got to the room. it was simply disappointing to see hotel staff not caring or observant enough to make guests feel welcome and taken care of from the minute they stepped through the front door. "A Terrible Smell"
I would be giving this hotel a good rating, except for one major flaw. Our room smelled awful. It was a smell that permeated everything in the room except for the bathroom. The room was clean, it looked perfect. But the smell hit me when I opened the door and I never got used to it. It smelled like the room used to be a smoking room, but now the whole […] hotel is a non-smoking facility. But this room has the ghosts of all of those past cigarettes haunting it. The smell must be in the carpet, curtains and mattress. I could smell it in the pillows. When I went into the bathroom and closed the door, I couldn't smell it at all. What a disappointment. This was a weekend to get away with my husband and relax together. I couldn't relax in our room. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"The Hotel Lied"
I brought a team of 16 boys to this hotel for a lacrosse tournament. We were told that there would be breakfast served at this hotel from 6:30-9 am every day. This was the major factor in booking the property for our team because we needed to have breakfast before 7am to head to our games. The hotel told me as well as parents that 6:30 was when breakfast […] began. When we got to the hotel they said breakfast started at 7:30, this was impossible to make as i told the night manager. We ended up having to buy breakfast and spend money that we were not wanting to spend in the first place. If the hotel did not lie about this we would not have chosen this old property. The were not accommodating a team at this hotel or large group for that matter. I would not choose this hotel again, the management is very poor and are not easy to talk with. They have incompetent workers at the front desk. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great for the weekend!"
The hotel was a convenient walk to the Inner Harbor and close to the free Charm City Circulator. The room was very clean and comfortable. The minor stuff: It was a very busy hotel. Waiting for an elevator was common. The happy hour bar, was not crowded, but the bar tenders appeared busy and did not even look up to acknowledge that we were waiting to […] place orders for drinks while they tended to others. The room was not stocked with wash clothes either day and we did not have a rug for the bathroom the second day. Did not restock the coffee. Never did get the wash clothes we requested. They did replace the inroom safe when the one present did not work. The valet parkers and bell men, house keeping staff all were very nice. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
