"Surprised at the Lack of Quality"
We were placed at the back corner of the hotel despite several rooms being vacant. Upon check-in registrar said someone had smeared peanut butter over the door. She met us at the room and cleaned it off. The non-smoking room smelled of smoke and mold. There was a wash rag over the smoke alarm. "Not wowed in Newport."
The beds were comfy and the room was clean, but the place was old and in need of some TLC...especially the lobby. Breakfast was continental with coffee or juice in was served in the dismal lobby.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Not again!"
When we got into our room, the commode was running and would not flush. It was a problem with the flapper inside the tank. We called the front desk and when it was inspected, we were told they would call the maintenance man to come fix it. An hour later we had not heard anything. I went to the front desk and was told that she couldn't reach the maintenance […] man and had the called the manager, but nothing was being done. I demanded either another room or a refund and was told there was no other room available as they were all reserved. I then suggested she give us one of those rooms and then deal with the problem with someone else. She finally agreed, but only had "smoking" rooms available. So, we had to stay in a smoking room instead of the "Non-smoking" room we had reserved. We were definitely not satisfied with our stay or accomodations. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Not to good!"
