Hampton Inn Memphis/Southaven - Southaven

My only complaint was trying to find the hotel. It wasn't clearly marked where to turn and seemed a little more difficult than it should have been. Typical hotel breakfast and pillows were a little hard.

This was a repeat stay while heading south toward NOLA. Great location (first time visitors might find it helpful to know the hotel is located on the fringes of a shopping mall area, so you enter through a mall entry), great price, great amenities, clean accommodations, and welcoming staff.

The front desk helped me get back to the road, Goodman road, which is what it is on, after I got lost going to my church. I was also able to find my truck's dealership with thier help, after my windshield wipers wouldn't work, and it was raining. The place is very clean, and I felt very comfortable. When we checked in about 4:30 there were several patrons in line and only one person to man the desk. She was extremely patient , personable and helpful but we really felt sorry for her because had to do everything and some people were very unpleasant. Her name was Iesha...⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

A little hard to get to, but doable. Didn't expect to have to go through a shopping area to access the entrance, but it worked. Although there was a problem with the toilet in our room, and it did take a little while to get a maintenance man in to fix it, all in all it was a good experience.

Some one should QA housekeeping. towel cabinet was dusty. Door frames in bathroom were stained with coffee splatter. Electric receptacle in bathroom did not work. A/C did not keep the room comfortable. I woke up sweating..

Room was a bit worn around the edges, but overall this is a nice place to stay. Good location, nice breakfast, SUPER friendly staff (from the girl who checked us in to the maintenance man who had to replace a bulb in our room to the ladies who worked breakfast each morning)...I'd stay here again for sure!

The manager called our room 10 minutes after we checked in to make sure everything was to our liking, and see if we needed anything else. Every staff member we encountered said hello,and the hostess at breakfast was great. The food was fresh and plentiful. I have my favorite hotels in Memphis, but I think it's worth the extra drive for this hotel.

I want to make the following recommendations to make this a more pleasant experience. I thought the rooms were comfortable, clean and supplied with the basic amenities, however, I wish that the room had a refrigerator, and a microwave. Maybe Expediia can offer this feature at an additional charge, especially if a guest stays more that 5 days, or the […] hotel would like to advertise those items would be added if someone stayed 4 days or more. I just thought that would have been a plus. I thought that the free breakfast, fitness room, and laundry as well as computer availability made up for the lack of extra room appliances, etc. Some seating in front of the hotel would have been nice. The lobby area seemed a little uncomfortable temperature wise. Maybe when the temperature is extremely hot outside, then the air inside can be lowered. I noticed that one of the food handlers didn't wear gloves when bringing bread to the serving area. I'm sure that even though her hands may or may not have been clean, it may have made me feel a little more comfortable, or assured of not spreading germs, etc. Most notable was the staff's warm and friendly greeting, their desire to make you feel welcome, and the showing of their appreciation for their guest, from the highest to the lowest position of the staff. We stayed here for 5 days during Elvis week. Everyone here was nice and the room was Very clean. The area around the hotel was safe and tons of places to eat that you can walk to. The only thing is it is not right on Goodman as the address indicates,it's back off the road.

The bed was really comfortable. The free breakfast included biscuits, eggs, yogurt, fresh fruit, sausage and assorted carbs including belgian waffles! The hotel was located in a safe neighborhood and everything we might need for our nights stay was conveniently located right there. if we repeat the trip we will definitely stay in this hotel in this […] location again. If there is anything to complain about it would be that there MIGHT not be enough parking spots if all the rooms are booked up...but there are other parking lots close enough that even that would not really be an issue. We stayed at this hotel on our way to Jackson, MS. We got in after midnight and left at checkout time. We had no trouble checking in. They were waiting and prepared for us. After a long drive it was great to have a hassle free experience. Beds were really comfortable and breakfast is always great!

Spent time in Southaven for an event in Memphis. Drive to the event was maybe 10 minutes. Little difficult to find at first, high traffic area.

Was everything I look for in a hotel- good price, clean & comfortable. Staff was all very friendly & helpful. Breakfast was good. Just a tip- the address makes it a bit hard to find. This hotel is not right on Goodman. It's actually off Goodman behind Aldi's and it faces Sleepy Hollow. Took us a few turns to finally find it.

Unfortunately we didn't have a pleasant stay. We paid for a normal room and they gave us a handicapped and smoker room, I have a breathing condition.We claimed and they couldn't solve the situation.

Like Hampton Inns including their breakfast buffet. Only problem was that they gave us someone else's room which could have been embarassing for us and the other people. Fortunately it wasn't but that was not a good start to our stay.

Hotel is right in the middle of everything, shopping, restaurants, easy to get everywhere. The hotel was super quiet. It's the first time we have stayed in a hotel and weren't kept awake all night by slamming doors and loud guests. We are very picky about motel beds, usually don't sleep well at all, but we slept just fine and woke up well rested.
