This is an older property directly off I-880. The room was clean with newer linens on the bed. The fitted sheet kind of fit onto the hard thick mattress. The AC in the room would only cool for a couple of hours at a time...fortunately the window opened or else it would have been warm in the room. Some rooms have microwaves and fridges...if you would […] like this you must ask for a room with them. One thing I really did not like.was the lighting in the bathroom. There was only a flouresent light which only lit the sink area well. The tub/shower was pretty dark with the shower curtain closed . The hotel has a bar and restaurant that are okay...i preferred going to the shopping center on the other side of the highway. Try Backyard Bayou for some tasty food...there are lots of chain restaurants to pick from less than a mile from the hotel. I felt safe in the hotel it just needs some TLC and some newer/fresher furniture and colors to brighten up the dated feeling of the rooms. The hotel staff were all friendly and helpful. Read more

To spare details, we had a poor experience at this hotel. The hotel has an old look and smell. The lot was filled buses and the hotel was filled with Chinese tourists. I think this is normal since the hotel signage is in dual English and Chinese instead of the English/Spanish that is typical in California. >>> The guests in our wing all seemed to know […] each other and they made a huge racket all night (past midnight) by flipping the security latch between the door and frame, then walking freely and frequently between rooms, generating a loud series of "clunks" each time the doors would swing shut and bounce against the latches. Beware.... they require a 50$ accidental fee when you check in. But the hotel was clean.Lack of plugs to charge cell phones with. Our friend said his bathroom's fan was very loud and also made it cold during shower.

The hotel should be reclassified. The front desk was friendly and hard-working, but all the rest of the hotel is disappointing. Our room didn't get hot water, we called front desk, 10 min later plumber showed up, said he'll check boiler and advised us to wait for 30 min when most of the guests were done with their showers. Finally we got hot water at […] 10pm. They got big groups of teenagers, some was trying Phy's dance move in the elevator. Our room smelled dusty and dirty which made me hard to sleep. Instead of one set of double-pane window, the room got two sets of single-pane windows, yet one whole window pane was missing, so we could hear the highway traffic clearly. There are young men and women hanging out in the hallway at might night. Their noise woke us up so we had to call front desk again. Sheets and towels are washed but do not smell clean. Bath tub is badly scratched, exposing the black metal underneath the top coating. The lobby smells like hospital, not hotel. The Crowne Plaza Group is disappointing customers by letting any of these happen in their hotels. Read more

Hotel was clean and in overall good shape. Only thing that could have been better is the comfort of our bed. The bed was ok but a bit stiff and overused. The hotel should consider buying new more comfortable beds. However, I would stay here again.

My poor boyfriend stayed at this hotel for 1 night... and regrets every second of it. The place was run down, the room was old and had an air of dirt and filth to it. I was very happy to get a room at all this week, many hotels were sold out. But this hotel is very dated, and badly in need of an update. Everything worked, the beds seemed clean, but the cleaning of the room was only adequate (vacuuming stopped at edge of furniture, debris could be seen under them), the wallpaper and floors don't owe the owners anything, […] and should be given a gold watch and sent out to pasture. I would not stay here again if they paid me to. It was very dirty and the entire place smelled of cigarettes. We had a non smoking room and there were ashtrays in it. We were there for a total of 6 hours-we had to get out!! Do not stay here if you can help it.

Hotel was run down and allowed smoking. The condition and lack of cleanliness was reflective of the smoking policy. Many guests were smoking in their rooms with the doors open and in the hallways. There is no way this is a 3 and 1/2 star hotel, maybe 10 years ago, but not now. The furnishings and rooms are rundown, my bathroom mirror had a huge crack down the center, and service was slow. I originally arrived at 3pm and waited 20 minutes before being helped (there was only one person working the front desk). Then, the staff member told me the […] rooms weren't ready yet so he'd have to do some rearranging (check in is at 3pm, mind you). I was on my way to a meeting, so I said I would check in later. I returned around 9pm and had to wait another 15 minutes before being helped. Check out was just as bad as was calling the front desk for anything (phone rang and rang and sometimes went to voicemail). Crown Plaza should remove its name from this dump. The "heated" pool wasn't. The windows right next to the freeway didn't seal. The hallways smelled. Not a good value. Look elsewhere.

Very clean and efficient hotel with a great locationin the Southeast Bay ARea. Located right of the freeway with easy access to the Dumbarton Bridge (thus easy access to the Southbay/Penninsula). Located relatively near a BART station (so I decided to take BART into San Francisco, which made for a quick, easy, inexpensive trip rather than fighting traffic […] and the high cost of parking). My only complaint was that if you are one (like I am) who really appreciates a hgih quality work-out experience at your hotel...the work out room (which was clean and well kept) had less than ideal work-out equipment. If this hotel wants to be a "top pick" in my book they need to update and upgrade their work-out equipment! Read more

My room was obviously not cleaned thoroughly. - Trash still inside the trash can in the bathroom - Dirty glass cups - Pillowcases looked used and I had to request new ones. I had already slept in my room before I noticed these things (except for pillows) and it gave me the creeps. I will not stay here again.
