Rooms smelled, stunk, of cleaning agent. Enough, to give you a headache. Will never, stay there again. Pictures are misleading, probably taken when hotel was new.

I have stayed at Flamingos many times. It is a "budget" hotel but it is clean and perfectly adequate in a great location on the marina just a block from the new Marina shopping area. Some rooms in terrible shape (scuffed walls & torn sofa). Had to look @ a few. Beautiful views and fantastic housekeepers! Loved area. Annoyingly slow wifi - sending emails a challenge - forget about Internet phone apps like viber or magicjack. Had to go to starbucks or other cafes. TINY POOL.

This hotel was a perfect place to stay when we arrived. It is about a mile from the airport and incredibly easy to get to. On the second day our cleaning lady left beautiful towel art in our room - a pleasant surprise. We had the hotel to ourselves, as we stayed towards the end of the tourist season. Very clean and comfortable. Helpful staff.

This hotel is unique. It is old but has nice views and is located on the Marina. It is fun to sit at their palapa restaurant and look at the boats in the harbor as well as walk the boardwalk in the evening. Many other restaurants to choose from.

We love this Hotel and stay there just about every year when we visit Puerto Vallarta. It is a nice homey hotel that is not too fancy. It is quiet and relaxing, and we always feel right at home. The restaurant is a nice cofortable place also with reasonable prices.

The hotel is located in a very quiet area of the Marina, It is an old hotel with a lot of carm and the price is right. The furniture is worn, but the room is very clean! Highly recommended if you like minimal traffic and peace. The food at the hotel restaurant is excellent.

We had a great view of the harbor and pool. The whole hotel was immaculately clean. The decor was a bit outdated. The beds were comfortable but the pillows were rock hard. My only comments would be that the beds are hard (typical of Mexico) And the furnishings in the rooms are very dated. The room was exceptionally clean and the maids left flowers in the rooms with towel "characters" which my kids loved. it's a great location and we loved being in the marina.

We stayed one night, (New Year's Eve) at the Flamingo Vallarta Hotel and Marina and thoroughly enjoyed our short time here. The staff was extremely helpful and kind. Our room on the top floor provided a wonderful view of the marina and the fireworks display. We would certainly visit here again.

Grounds and facilities were generally kept up and clean, staff was courteous and helpful. The facilities are aging but generally the grounds and building are very acceptable. Location is good for quiet and relaxing. Palapa staff and pool very nice.

My wife and I stayed only one night. The location was wonderful: secluded but right on the marina. Great water views! The room was large and had an adequet bath although very outdated. The entire room really needed a facelift in a serious way. Aside from the age of the place and (unfortunately) killing one cockroach in the sink, it was more than OK […] for one night. Stayed at the Flamingo Vallarta for 7 days over Christmas 2011. Older hotel with a feel of old Mexico - nothing fancy just the basics. Room furniture needs updated and repaired but beds are comfortable. Only hotel in the marina district - an area that has many good restaurants and stores for shopping. Convenient to the bus lines two blocks away. Hotel's […] restaurant is good for an inexpensive $5.00 breakfast. Beach is not accessible from this location. Some negative points - expect to pay a charge (minimal) for using the safe in your room or for making local phone calls. A refrigerator can also be requested (additional fee). The hotel pool was not heated so unusable for this time of year. If you like watching TV (not important to us) reception is poor with 1/2 dozen channels of which one in English (sometimes). Hotel advertises Wi-Fi in the lobby which only worked 3 days out the week there but internet access was available from their lobby computer. Hotel will take you to a beach several miles away BY the Holiday Inn - a public barren beach where for $24 you can rent 2 plastic chairs and an umbrella for the day. Recommend going to the Melia Hotel at the other end of the marina and use their pool & beach for $20 (each) per day. Would not return to this hotel as spending a few dollars more would have provided better ammenities and atmosphere. Read more
