Stayed there for the night. The room was really nice. Its better than the Golden Nugget. The room was very bright which its nice. Some hotels their room needs some more lighting, which it makes it hard to see. I give it a thumbs up for lots of empty parking!! So you dont have to go around and around in circles for parking.

For the price I paid, I was extremely satisfied. Everyone in the hotel and casino were friendly and helpful, though the people in the connected shopping area were a little curt. The room was kept clean, and despite heavy cigarette smoke in the casino, there was no residue in the rooms, which was very nice. The towels were clean and though a bit thin, comfortable. I would wish for a refrigerator in the room, as well as an in-room safe, but those were small things I missed. The restaurant was closed for renovation, but the buffet was open, and was very delicious--the best potstickers I've had since my grandmother's.

The rate was low. The room was cleaner & better maintained than some better known, higher priced properties on the Strip. Nice views from the room & the amenities were good. The area surrounding the hotel is not exactly someplace you want to be walking in after dark, but there is a well lit garage w/ plenty of parking.

The hotel was a bit dated, and the neighborhood was less than desireable (numerous beggars on the streets). Quite a walk from the main part of the strip. If you plan on staying in the hotel to gamble, it's fun and the slots paid off pretty well.

We were at the hotel at 9:00 p.m. to check-in. We reserved one room for three people and had paid extra for this. We were supposed to have 2 queen beds. After waiting in line for over a half an hour we were told that the room scheduled for us had one King-size bed. We were told that if we wanted a different room it would be a minimum of an hour because it was a holiday they were short staffed. We made these reservations nearly 5 months ago so we were not happy. Additionally, we had been traveling since noon that day and were in no mood to hear this. We spoke with the front desk manager in an attempt to get a resolution to this problem and were asked what did we want her to do. She spoke to us very rudely. She wanted us to roam around for an hour and she would call our cell number when the room was ready. I didn't see this as a satisfactory solution so I sat in the area and waited until a room was ready. While I was waiting I saw 3 to 4 other couples in the same boat as us; no room, given very poor service and spoken to badly. The room was great, the casino okay, but the service was terrible. I will never stay or even go to that hotel/casino again.

Don't stay at this hotel. The staff are unhelpful and unfriendly. The restaurants are overpriced and lacking in quality. The internet pricing is atrocious and it's unusual nature (by laptop not by room) is hidden in the fine print. These people do not care if you are unsatisfied. I will never set foot in this place again. There are so many other places to stay in Las Vegas - why put up with this one?

Our family meet for a reunion over the Thanksgiving holiday and were all so happy with our stay at the Stratosphere. We can only compliment the friendliness of the staff from check-in to all the restaurants to the casino. I also don't know how they do it but it was very quiet. I haven't slept thru the night in months but did every night at the hotel. The only negative was the distance to the center of the strip but we either walked ( helped work off all the great food!) or took cabs when my father was with us. Since the rooms were not that expensive, the cab fares added to the room fees were still less than what we would have spent on a hotel farer down the strip. We will definately stay at this hotel again!

The Stratosphere was nice, a great location at the end of the strip. The MGM Grand or New York New York, are either a nice juant or short carriage ride over. The view, from our deluxe room, was awesome. I got a smoking room b/c it was too cold and far to go outside. Hypocritically (On my part of course!), I can't stand the smell of smoke and that is all the room smelled like. As if it was being used for a cigar party before we showed up. Even though we turned on the air it just circulated the smell. It turned our stomachs but once our senses acclimated to the smell we really enjoyed ourselves!

Like everyone else said, it's off the 'strip', but that shouldn't stop you from staying here. There are busses that run 24hrs and plenty of taxis to get you around. The discount for the Unlimited Pass ride on the top was worth the stay alone. If you stay here, you get to view the tower for free, a $30 value if you have two people. Well worth every penny.

And they have 50 different ways to extract money from you. be aware and check for each and every service you use in their fine prints. Don't trust what receptionist says at check-in counter.
