My boyfriend is from Manhattan and we got this hotel with a couple friends who were in town because we didn't want to pay city prices. The hotel was great! We originally got there and instead of two queens they gave us a king, but quickly changed it to what we needed and even upgraded us to a nicer room. They were so friendly. The location to the city was close, but you had to go through the Holland Tunnel and over the bridge to get into and out of the city every time so that was the only downfall. You also have to pay for overnight parking. This was something the hotel did not tell me about and neither did any website. It is $18 a night. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone though. The inside was newly rennovated and beautiful! Hope this was helpful!

The meeting we were attending was held at the hotel and therefore was the logical choice and was convenient. There is no where to go around the hotel if you do not have a car, but this is the same for all hotels around Newark airport. The room was large, clean and comfortable. I could not hear any airport noise. The restaurant was a bit overpriced, but the food was good. The cost with Hotels.com was less than the conference rate that was offered; however, it was a small group.

We stayed at the Sheraton Hotel, Newark Airport, NJ. We chose the Sheraton because of the great rate we got and the Sheraton name knowing we would get a nice hotel. The employees at the Sheraton were outstanding, always ready to help us. Restaurant had great food although a bit pricey, pool was nice. The only problem we had with our stay was with the air conditioning in our room. Maintenance did change a filter in our unit, which did not help, but further information we got was that the hotel's unit was not on. It was very uncomfortable in our room the first night.

The room was nice - one issue was people talking in the hallways loudly when trying to sleep. Why don't people talk inside their rooms? Other pain was the airport transfer shuttle - it was hard to get one as a group kept filling it and it was small. They need to do something so groups don't mess up we individuals. Bed was very comfortable...tv remote didn't work and no minibar (that I could find). Bathroom nice but small.

I walked into the Sheraton and was very impressed by how nice it was. However, the service was terrible and the staff seemed way undermanned. We called for room service several times and never got an answer. So we went down to the hotel restaurant only to wait an hour and 15 minutes for two appetizers that were tiny and extremely overpriced. Not to mention the drink prices were outrageous. I also called housekeeping several times and got no answer there or at the front desk at the time, so I had to go all the way down and request fresh towels in person! Additionally, we had to pay each day for parking which was not even a parking garage and it was $18 a day! This hotel really needs better management and more employees!! I'll never stay there again and I would not recommend it to anyone!

NOT the place to stay if you are wanting to visit the city. You have to stay in the city. We were looking for a romantic getaway and it was the bomb!

You may get a good room rate, but watch out. You pay a lot for parking and internet- and the restaurant is outragoously expensive for the quality of the food you get. And because of the location, it's not easy to find other, convenient places to eat. Also, I was under the impression that breakfast was included in the room rate because the box was checked on a list of amenities, on which all of the other amenities were free. Breakfast is not included. Room had a slight musty smell, but was clean and modern. Staff was helpful and friendly.
