I got a great deal on a one bedroom suite only to arrive and be shown to our two bedroom suite on the 29th floor!! The layout was wonderful, the views amazing and it was impeccably clean. I highly recommend this hotel. Amazing value.

My parents and I spent one night here. We paid for three in the room, but only two of us slept. They advertised a one-bedroom unit with a sofa bed. Everything was fantastic but the sofa bed. It was like something from the 1970's--painfull. I didn't sleep a wink. Parking is super cheap and pretty convenient. Very nice gym and pool. Restaurant 360 (hotel restaurant) is expensive and okay, just okay. I say eat somewhere else. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

EXTERIOR LOOKS GREAT . ROOMS WERE SOMEWHAT NEEDY , CEILING NEEDED TO BE PATCHED PROPERLY . DID NOT LIKE THAT HOTEL STILL USES REAL KEYS.

very nicely located in ottawa and walking distance to the "market" district and attractions. very spacious accomodations and for cheap by booking via hotels.com. good fast room service. the only negative was how much they charged for each outgoing phone call which added to a lot.

My husband and I had a studio suite which consisted of a large room with sofa bed, chair, kitchenette, dining table and 2 chairs, queen bed and a large bathroom. The hotel is walking distance to restaurants and Parliament Hill. They offer complimentary bikes to explore the city (the streets immediately surrounding the hotel do not have separate bike lanes however.) The indoor pool is huge and there is a nice sundeck area. TV channels are basic. Overall, this was an outstanding value.

As a couple with two young children, we tend to look for either apartments or 1 bedroom suites to ensure we all get a good night's sleep. The Minto was absolutely brilliant. It had everything you could ask for at an extremely reasonable rate for an inner city location. Staff were friendly, facilities were very goodand the room was huge.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff was really friendly and the location was perfect. We loved having space and a dishwasher in the room. The gym was nice and pool was comfortable. We will stay here again.

Everything in the hotel was great including location and the rooms.

Excellent value, spacious room, very clean, wonderful location - all in all it was a great place to stay. The only negative was that parking was not included in the rate, and parking spaces were quite narrow (and difficult for a larger car).

3 of us stayed in a studio suite in this hotel. Room was good size with double bed and pull out sofa bed and was very clean. kitchen was well equiped with microwave, kettle and toaster as well as coffee maker, iron and ironing board and shop/supermarket was downstairs/round the corner. Hotel located about 10 minutes walk from parliament hill, river, canal etc. Hotel also had a swimming pool and gym/weights room - which was clean and a great asset for families.

Highly recommend!

Very helpful and friendly staff, but then the Ottawa people in general are very friendly.The room was so comfortable I opted out of a dinner invitation to stay in one night and eat in my room!

I was in Ottawa on business for a week and other colleagues of mine were already booked at the Minto Suites - so it made sense for me to book there as well. I was very glad I did. The halls were quiet (and the hotel was fairly booked up) - everything was clean. The service was lovely - not overdone, but very personable. The location of a small super market as well as nice restaurants in the same building made it feel more like an upscale Manhattan address than a hotel in downtown Ottawa. I will be back on Ottawa in August and will be back at the Minto Suites as well!

Very nice.

Excellent for families. We stayed in the 1 bedroom suite -- it was spacious for a family of four and we liked the kitchenette. The room, facilities, such as the pool, and the hotel in general are very well maintained and in great condition. The room was very clean. Only negatives are: internet is not free, no free local calling, parking can be expensive on weekdays. Overall, an excellent hotel.

As part of an out-of-town wedding party, we stayed here almost a week and were extremely comfortable. The staff was very helpful and friendly. As a gratis perk, bikes are rented to guests in four-hour increments; you definitely want to take advantage. It's a great way to get around and see the city. Bike locks and helmets are provided. Another nice feature is the hotel is attached to an indoor mall - there is a 24-hour mini market on the main floor if you get a case of the midnight munchies or need a caffeine fix. For the athletic peeps, the fitness center is definitely not an afterthought - they had multiple ellipticals, a well-appointed free weights section and the salt-water swimming pool is beautifully maintained. A word of caution regarding the jacuzzi - it contains bromine as it's treatment process rather than chlorine. If you have a sensitivity to it, stay away or wear goggles. All in all, we had a great time and should we ever return to Ottawa we have no need to try out the other hotels, we had a lovely stay and would recommend this place to anyone.

This was by far the best hotel room I have ever had in my life. With 2 Bathrooms and two seperate sleeping areas, as well as our own private laundry room and FULL kitchen with dishwasher and oven, we could not have been happier. Everyone was so friendly and I HIGHLY recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Ottawa, I doubt anyone will find a better value than this.

Very good rate and an incredible amount of room for a very good weekend price. Pool was indoor and good.

Not only is the location outstanding, but the accommodations are incredible. We were extremely happy with the rate we had booked for the Studio Suite, but we got an unexpected upgrade to a two bedroom suite which was over the top. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to the area!

On hols for 2 wks visiting east coast,lost Camera,some money & watch in the pool/fitness centre of this hotel.Hold myself partly to blame for leaving trosers in locker,unlocked.But the room was very impressive,would recommend to others,but,leave your valuables in the safe of your room.

The suites have a full kitchen, making an extended stay particularly convenient. Walking distance to major attractions. Safe attractive neighborhood. Helpful staff.

We arrived very late, and tired. Front desk staff was wonderful. He upgraded our room so everyone in our group could have their own bed, and a good night(s) sleep. Parking - a bargin on weekends.

Chambre très agréable, spacieuse, propre avec une grande table, un coin cuisine - Malheureusement sans plaque de cuissons !- caché derrière dans un coin "placard", salle de bain relativement grande et confortable. Literie récente et très apprécié de notre côté. La piscine (avec bains à remous, sauna) est très propre. Un peu loin des stations de métro, même si de nombreux bus passent juste à côté.

Très bien situé, l'hôtel dispose de suites spacieuses et parfaitement équipées. En dehors des chambres, l'équipement (piscine, sauna, salle de sport) est également très satisfaisant. Nous avons obtenu un très bon rapport qualité prix et y retournerons sans hésiter ! Quelques bémols cependant : la connexion internet payante (alors qu'elle est gratuite dans la plupart des hôtels et lieux publics au Canada) et l'accueil un peu froid et pas à la hauteur (une seule personne à la réception à une heure d'affluence).

Bonne localisation mais hotel très impersonnel avec un personnel sasn sourire. Mais des suites utiles pour y diner et y laver et sècher son linge en milieu de voyage

Cet hôtel est très bien avec tous le confort nécessaire pour passer un bon séjour. La chambre était spacieuse et propre, mais la décoration était peut être un peu trop sobre à mon goût. Il y a quelques restaurants très proche, y compris celui de l'hôtel, et le centre ville n'est qu'à 5-10min à pied, ce qui laisse un grand choix. Et le petit plus, c'est qu'à la réception, le personnel parle français, ce qui est plutôt peu fréquent à Ottawa.
