"I can depend on Courtyard"
I stayed at Courtyard because I knew from prior experience that I would be comfortable, that the rooms would be spotless, and that I could get something to eat without leaving the hotel. I haven't been disappointed yet. All in all a very relaxing experience.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Response by Courtyard By Marriott Augusta Thank you for leaving a review of our hotel. I hope that you enjoyed your stay, and we thank you for choosing Courtyard by Marriott!
This is the third time we have stayed at this hotel so, if it wasn't a good experience we would not have come back. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the linens are wonderful. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Grounds are well maintained. Convenient to local highways and many good places to eat close by. A good experience.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Had to Settle for it"
Hotel provided only room left which was a bare bones handicap room. Even the shower fixture water labels were backwards, cold was hot, hot was cold. Maintenance and repair work were notably of poor quality. No vending, everything was at a counter in the lobby with inflated prices. I had stayed at the Homestead Suites next door on a previous occasion […] and it was much better quality. The cost of the room was grossly overpriced. No spa or whirlpool. The only convenience was that it was near where we needed to be. Would not stay there again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Response by Courtyard By Marriott Augusta Thank you for staying with us during your trip to Augusta. I do apologize that the room was not up to your standards. I will make sure that our maintenance department goes through all of our accessible rooms to make sure that they are up to the Marriott Standard that our guests expect. I hope that you will give us another chance. Please feel free to contact me directly at the hotel should you wish to further discuss your past stay with us. Thank you, Laura Kitchens General Manager
I was very pleased with my stay at this hotel this past weekend. The location was very conveniently located off the freeway so as a first time visitor to the area, this was helpful. The hotel staff at the front desk were very friendly. No complaints with the room (loved having the option of choosing an upstairs or downstairs room). For my husband and […] myself both, we LOVED the bed....super comfortable! I also much appreciated the hotel housekeeping respecting the "Do Not Disturb" door hanger when needed (not all hotels do!) The later than most check out time was a bonus. My only "complaint" was the thinness of the wall leading to the hallway...very easy to hear everyone walking by. But on that note, when I did start hearing the staff like that it was late morning so it wasn't as though I was being rudely awoken at an early time. Will definitely return when I come to Augusta again! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

What a tasty and friendly breakfast prepared by the Starbucks Bistro. The couple that ran the breakfast where delightful and the food was top rate. Better breakfast than I've ever had a hotel quick serve.......Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Courtyard By Marriott Augusta Dear Cheryl, Thank you so much for your great comments! We are so happy that you enjoyed your breakfast in our Bistro! We hope to see you again soon, if you are ever in Augusta !
I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in the Augusta area. It is easy to access (right off of I-20) and close to a variety of restaurants and shopping. We traveled for a local event (Broadway showing at the Bell Auditorium) and family visiting.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Nice Hotel With Only One Negative"
Room was excellent, food was great, staff was very nice. Only issue I had was that there was a "funky" smell occasionally coming up the stairs and in the hallway. The smell was not in the room and wasn't always in the hall. There was a lot of rain so maybe that was the culprit. Outside of that, the stay was superb.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Southern hospitality at its finest!"
We had an extremely pleasant stay at the Courtyard Marriott Augusta. Every staff member was super friendly and informative. My husband was given great advice and directions to a nearby golf course. The desk clerks were accommodating and knowledgeable about the area. The dining staff were so friendly and willing to make our breakfast experience wonderful. […] We are so glad that we choose the breakfast for two option with our booking. The food was well prepared, tasty and hot! We have rarely encountered such a hard-working, pleasant group of staff members in our travels such as the staff at this Courtyard Marriott. We came to Augusta for a memorial service for my uncle and one staff member even went out of his way to find a local newspaper from the previous day which contained my relative's obituary. Our room was always cleaned properly and it was very comfortable. We had a memorable stay thanks to the fantastic staff in Augusta, GA! Thank you. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Nice place to sleep! No Frills!"
This was a nice place to get a few hours of sleep. Don't expect any frills and there is no elevator for people traveling with lots of luggage. The staff is friendly and the room is suitable for getting some sleep and hitting the road again.Genuine Expedia guest review

Effortless check-in and departure. Room was nicely appointed, with usual conveniences. My only short fall is that the tv remote should have an info button, in order to see what the program is about.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Slept like a baby!"
I had to ask for an early check-in and they happily gave me a 1PM!! Karen was super sweet and gave me a great room. The beds are awesome and I slept like a baby. This is the second Courtyard by Marriott (the other being Houston, TX) that had super comfortable beds. I will stay here again next time I am in Augusta. Close to "Tacosushi", "Boll Weeval's" […] and "Nacho Mama's" the three best restaurants in town. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Would stay again"
This was a quick trip to visit family. The hotel was nice enough. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. I would stay again. I just wish they had an elevator for those not staying on the first floor. I found it a bit odd that they didn't have one.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good Stopping Point"
The hotel is located near the highway, but we were located on the opposite side where we easily parked and brought our bags in. The room was small but clean and adequate. Around 9:00pm the room beside us was suddenly "party central". After about an hour, sensing that things would probably not improve I called the front desk and ask that we be moved […] far away. We were immediately accommodated and moved to a bigger and nicer room further down the hallway. Note: The hotel is in the process of being renovated, but we were not inconvenienced at all, and the bathroom featured the best showerhead ever! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"No elevator? Really?"
It is 2012. How can a Courtyard by Marriott NOT have an elevator to the second floor? It was not "out of order". There was NO elevator! What is this - a convereted Motel? Disappointing!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Close to Interstate"

I really enjoyed my stay. It was a great location. Very central and close to the highway. The maid service could have been better. Overall I enjoyed my stay and i was there for four days and 3 nights.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
no elevator, you have to carry your luggage to 2nd floor. we were given an unit connected to another unit without any good voice privacy. we can hear any conversation from the other unit. Unfortunately they were laughing and loud until 1am and we could not sleep. at the 2nd day, roof work was performed, loud and unbearabe noise came from roof and we […] had to leave the room. not a good experience!! This was just odd. Two-story property and had to use the stairs because there was no elevator. Rachel was very friendly and booked me a room right near the stairs. Room was clean and the staff was exceptionally friendly so it meets the basic criteria for a decent stay.
"Wonderful service!! Ok room!"
07/27/14 myvaca2011 Tampa, Florida
I stayed at this hotel last week, while on business in Augusta. The people that work at this hotel were fabulous!!! The people that run the little cafe in the lobby were amazing! I will say.. The cafe prices were a little expensive. The rooms were just your average hotel room. The a/c and fridge were kind of loud (especially at night when you are trying to sleep) The biggest CON about this hotel is... They don't have an elevator!!! I guess it is not bad, if you get the 1st floor! They did not offer that information at the time of check in until after we were assigned the 2nd floor. The overall stay was very good! I would probably stay here again!
"Never going back"
07/26/14 JonINmn atlanta
I will never stay at this hotel again. It has no elevator and I had to make several trips to carry my luggage upstairs. Two of the housekeepers were extremely loud and shared their personal business in front of my door. They cursed for about 15 minutes straight. I thought it was very unprofessional and I'm glad my children were not exposed to such language. The rooms are over priced as well. Just a terrible experience. Unless they get new staff, PROFESSIONAL ones, I will never go back.
"Nice but overpriced"
06/30/14 Briana P
We stayed in a King w/ a couch. The room was pretty spacious. The room appeared to be clean and smelled refreshing after housekeeping cleaned on our 2nd night. The air conditioner made too much noise. It sounded like water splashing throughout the night. The fire alarm flashed throughout the night as well which was located directly over our heads. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Every morning I was woken up by the noise housekeeping knocking on the neighbor doors (so much for my DND sign) also I'm assuming when they carried their carts upstairs to clean the rooms above us on the second floor, I had to listen to loud thud sounds until they were out of range from cleaning. I am assuming it was housekeeping bc every morning it was the same familiar noise. The Bistro is extremely overpriced. I spent nearly $20 and all I ordered was 3 pieces of French toast, bacon and potatoes with an apple juice. Last but not least we extended out stay one more night after already checking out bc I had to follow up with my Dr. We requested the same room. We checked back in around 2:20 PM. The clerk said the room should be clean so she gave us our keys. We entered the room and it was exactly how we left it. Housekeeping rushed over to clean it. After they "cleaned" the room we went bk in around 2:50 and the bed was remade but the linen had not been changed. I didn't make a fuss only because I figured they knew we extended our stay and wanted to hurry and have to room ready for us however my biggest concern was do they always change the linen or just make the bed if it looks clean....
"small but pleasant"
06/28/14 paragkarania GA,
this is a much smaller courtyard than the typical one. It is well located close to many resturant options. it has only two floors. Rooms are new and renovated. Hall way seems to be undergoing work as carpets are stained. Staff is friendly. if you are looking for a elevator than this hotel does not have one . Don't see a reason for having one too ,with only two floor.
"Best stop in Augusta"
Great place to stay while in town on business. The lobby is designed with the new Courtyard look and interactive screen in the lobby. Starbucks bar for drinks and breakfast. USA paper was delivered to my room? That has not happend in some time. Great service! The gym is an average hotel gym but the fact that the temperature was on 66 degrees made the workout easy. The courtyard outside by the pool was very clean and made it a friendy and nice hangout spot for guests. All of the staff are very friendly and looking to go the extra mile during your stay. Nice touch having plenty of free parking.
"Service is exceptional at this Courtyard!"

I keep coming back to this hotel-it's right off Washington Rd. and is close to all the restaurants you could ever want! All of the folks here are super friendly and truly make you feel like you're at home! Stephanie, the front desk attendant was great on adding our Marriott points and seeing that my room selection was just what I'd asked for (it was) and San over in the Bistro goes above and beyond to make sure your food is good and hot! San has been at this location for many years and what a gem she is!! Sooo sweet! My Mom grew up in Augusta 84 yrs. ago and every time we come back to visit, we feel like we're coming home because this staff makes our stay so enjoyable!!

I stayed at the Courtyard Augusta while on a business trip and felt this was a great location in town. My room was very clean and comfortable. I stayed on the far back side of the hotel which was very quiet and relaxing. This location is very close to many restaurants of all different styles and price points. If you are attending the Masters and can get a hotel, Augusta National is right down the road. This would be my hotel of choice when coming back to Augusta for business.
"Just ok at best"
05/13/14 vintagelinensbylois Charleston, South Carolina
This hotel had numerous issues that I considered unsatisfactory. Very poor placement of TV sets next to the beds requiring you to watch TV "sideways". Wall airconditioners that continuously "kicked off" before adaquately cooling the room. Minimal counter space in bathrooms. Dressing room mirrors should be on the walls, NOT inside the closet doors where you can't open them far enough to see anything. No compimentary breakfast, just a pricey pay as you go "cafe" located in the lobby. Absolutely no space on bedside tables to put anything, just a tiny little counter. None of the HD channels came through clearly on my TV. The signal constantly broke apart. Not possible to watch a movie. This was a business trip and I spent very little time in the room, thank goodness. Nice touches included a fridge and microwave in the room and the staff was very friendly. Overall, however, I don't think I will stay there again on my next business trip. OK for an overnight but I need something more comfortable for multiple nights. Oh, did I mention there is no elevator for the second floor and it took me 4 trips up the stairs to carry my business equipment to my room. Only fair to mention that the friendly staff did offer to help carry things!
"Good location but VERY NOISY NIGHT. NO SLEEP"
04/27/14 CCNorthCarolina North Carolina
Check in was easy, pleasant. Found out that there was no elevator, bummer. Nothing available on the first floor. "There are only 15 stairs".....?? Two queen beds. Very comfy, no issue there. We were in town for an event, so on return around 10:30 PM, discovered that our sink stopper wouldn't stay open, so the sink wouldn't drain. My husband rigged a way to keep it open. Then we discovered that the toilet water would "run" for about 15 seconds, then stop for 5 minutes, then start again. ALL NIGHT. My husband worked on it several times and couldn't get it to stop. Around 3 AM he finally turned the water off to the toilet, then back on the next AM. But, the worst was the noise in the hall and rooms on the floor. The door knocking, loud talking in the hall, loud "partying?" in the rooms around us. At times, it sounded like the folks in the rooms around us were all wrestling, crashing into the walls and doors. Lots of door slamming. This continued until 3 AM. But, started again at 7 AM when they all started checking out. I'm not sure how many rooms were involved, but sounded like 5-6. You might ask why we didn't complain? Everytime we thought it settled down, 5 minutes later it would start again. Also, complaining never really seems to help. It sometimes makes the folks around you angry and louder. When I checked out around 10 AM, I mentioned all this to a very nice, smiling young man at the desk. He said, "Oh, I'm so sorry, you are not the first to complain. We had a basketball group in the hotel last night." I responded, "if there were complaints, why didn't someone do something about it while the noise was going on?" He responded, "I don't know, I wasn't here". I asked if he would please pass on our concerns and maybe have plumbing work on the sink and toilet. He said he would. He said I could take a snack from the little concession area. I said unfortunately that wouldn't help my lack of sleep. I asked if that is the only thing he could offer me, and he said yes. I am a Marriott rewards member, do not complain about hotels, as most are very responsive at the time of service. But, this one took me by surprise. Unfortunately, I won't return to this location.
