The service was great. The receptionist and the morning staff that we ran into was also very friendly. The room was clean but nothing spectacular, probably one of the lower scale Holiday Inns. My only concern was the breakfast. Horrible options and I have an allergy to gluten and there was nothing for me to eat in the morning. Not even a bowl of rice […] krispies. I can usually make do with what Is there, but there was nothing to eat for me. Options would be bice if you are going to offer a continental breakfast. This hotel was great and we will definitely be staying there again. The location is perfect and the hotel is really easy to find. The only complaint we have is that there is no microwave in the rooms however there is one for guest use in the breakfast room which is always open (gives some great exercise to walk to it). The breakfast was great, my husband even had breakfast there because they had sausage patties and eggs which most hotels don't have at a continental breakfast and he really enjoyed it. There were limited outlets to use to recharge electronic devices. The room was stuffy and there was a lack of temperature and ventilation controls for the HVAC system. The location was convenient for easy travel.

We were impressed with the friendliness of the staff. The two women supervising the breakfast area were talkative and helpful (they helped us get settled with our five-month old baby). The entire hotel was very clean. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone who desires a higher standard of hotel (for a moderately high price).

Nice facilities to say its a Holiday Express as that's not something I would have expected. Swimming pool good and clean. Gym small but all equipment up to date and working. would recommend to stop but probably only for 2/3 nights

my room was on the main floor which was 1/2 below ground level on my side of the building. the room had a funny odor to it. the sheets had a funny brown smear on them. i asked the front desk to move us but she said that the hotel was full except for the top floor and i was not a candidate as i had two children, ages 12 and 15! we arrived at 5:30 and […] needed to eat and make an appt. i tried to get into another hotel but it just got to late... we were unable to swim in the pool as only adults were allowed past 9:30pm. i heard the next door peoples air conditioner all night and at 6:30am the guest above us was up and stomping around for hours... we left in the morning and went to another hotel. i will not stay at this hotel again and will do my best to tell this story to all my friends... the front desk staff did not help in any way and just stared at me when i voiced my concerns...they did not care. Overall a pleasant enough stay as a stopover during our holiday. Standard of hotel was fine and breakfast room kept very neat and tidy by the staff. Out of the main town quite a bit but plenty of surrounding facilities.

Used it as a stopover en route to Vancouver. Kamloops has little to offer and the hotel was in an area which appeared to offer hotel accommodation surrounded by retail parks. The hotel was a bit tired but the breakfast buffet included in the room price was a pleasant unexecpeted bonus.

I travel weekly to Kamloops and have been staying at a different hotel each time. After staying at the top 8 I can safely say this is the worst so far. The Internet they provide is a joke. I wake up around 4am and it's somewhat OK until around 6am when other guests wake up and also use it. Once that happens the Internet is useless. Friendly Staff, good breakfest as I was always in a hurry in the mornings. Lots of coffee, ready to drink :) Good Hot Tub. Room was nice and clean. Bed was very comfortable and the sheets were nice and soft.

Hotel was OK but the lack of hot water the two mornings we were there completely ruined our stay. Hot water is a must and while an accident could cause a problem it shouldn't be allowed to happen two days in a row.

My children and I had a wonderful stay at the Kamloops. Friendly staff....but I never realized how difficult it would be to find a can opener (for dog food). Overall, our stay was great....we would stay there again if ever needing a hotel there.

It would have been a great stay had the pool been open and the nauseating aroma of stale cigarette smoke on the floor but as soon as it dissipated, it was fine. The stall was awesome and the breakfast the following morning was surprisingly good as well.

Rooms were spectacularly clean and modern. Staff was incredibly friendly. Breakfast was the best I have had at a hotel. Swimming pool was nice, and late checkout meant the kids could go swimming twice. Loved our stay and would stay again!

Although we were only there one night, it was part of our monthly "get-a-way" with the children. The pool was great, nice temperature and lovely spa. Rooms are beautifully decorated and it's what you'd expect from a 4 star in other places. I'd recommend it to anyone. And...the price was well within budget.

We were very happy with the breakfast that came with our room. It may not have been like home, but was one of the few I have seen that provides hot items such as eggs, pancakes and sausage patties along with the cold items you would expect.
