Very comfortable accomodations, but there was a strong smell of smoke in the hallways, the comforter on my bed had blood stains. It was replaced when I notified the front desk. The breakfast was gross. No hair dryer in the room either.

Indoor pool was closed because the pump broke on Saturday and they had just "fixed" it on Friday. No maintenance on the weekends. The fitness center sucked--treadmill incline mode was broken, the weight machine cables were disconnected so couldn't use that and the elliptical was broken--only manual mode. I had a very nice stay. There was something wrong with the heater in my room and the man at the front desk quickly put me in a new room without and hassel. My room was very clean and the hotel itself was in very good condition.

The hotel is more than showing its age with baseboard missing in the bathroom in our room. Housekeeping was less than satisfactory with little or no vacuuming the entire five nights we were there. The place was valued a bit more than the price they charged. The beds were comfortable. The place was clean. The breakfast was pretty good. Overall I would return next time especially for one of the cheaper hotels in town.

The hotel was very nice, as well as conveniently located. Staff was friendly and kind. The pool, however, was closed for maintenance, there weren't enough parking spots (or doors to enter from lot), and I never did get the internet to work for more than a second or two at a time. Disappointed with that, overall.

We stayed there for 2 different nights. The first night we stayed in room 134 and have several problems. The TV remote didn't work and the staff tried 2 others that wouldn't worked and never did get it going. The AC cover kept falling off. And the phone didn't work at all. We have stayed there several times before so i thought it may be a fluke so […] we decided to try it again. The second night we stayed was bad also. The phone wasn't working again. And the toilet was stopped up before we ever used it. I alerted the staff and we went for supper. When we returned it was still plugged and they told us they would fix it while we were gone. We ended up swapping rooms and the last one was OK but the bad impression had been made. The breakfast was OK with waffles and cereal, premade eggs and sausage patties. Take my advice and find somewhere else to stay. The price is good but you get what you pay for. Read more

Hotel needs updating. Tv had very poor reception and very out dated. Location was ok but too close to traffic and the noise was not a pleasant one. Ok if you are on a budget but would recommend spending a few more dollars to a more upgraded hotel. Would stay again if I had to but would be a last resort.

Overall, the hotel was very competitive on price and the location was great. It was very close to the Duluth business district. However, the hotel was in serious need of improvements. See pros/cons below: PROS: - price - big rooms - ok breakfast - has amenities - comfy bed CONS: - staff was not very accommodating, had to wait while front desk staff […] chatted with other staff. - outdated! - bathroom was not clean. I grew up in the motel business and noticed that showers and toilet were not cleaned. - old and musty smell in the whole building - banged up furniture - barely functioning business center (decided to check in at the airport the computer was so slow. - rusty bathroom finishings - gym equipment was in pretty bad shape - old bulb tvs that made high pitched noise Basically, you can tell the management does the BARE minimum to stay in the franchise. The place would be a whole lot better and would be able to charge a bit more if they changed the nasty old carpet, painted the walls, bought new furniture (not from a used hotel furniture broker), focused on higher cleaning standards and just did a bit more than the bare minimum. If you're on a budget, this place is ok. If you spend a bit more, there are a lot of choices that would be better. Read more

Pros: Excellent customer service, very nice employees, helpful with directions to hotel, great continental breakfast, plenty of parking spaces. Cons: Old TV's, needs updating very bad. Pillows too small for bed, not enough coffee in the room for 2 people or more.
