The hotel employee who was at the front dek for our check in was awesome. He made us feel at home and even gave us an excellent recommendation for dinner. He made the stay very enjoyable. The room was quiet, clean and comfortable. We will stay there again.

Biggest issue was that although a non-smoking hotel, it seems that e very smoker in SC was staying there, surrounding the hotel with clouds of smoke, bracing open the security doors so they could sneak out the back door to smoke, and so on.

We were quite surprised, because we have stayed in Best Western Motels before and was very disappointed with the cleanliness and comfortable surroundings, bed, bathroom, smell etc. We were prepared just in case we had to complain in order to get a restful night's sleep-thankfully all we could say was aweeeee! The staff was very courteous, the room was very clean and had a great smell, that bath was just what we needed. Thank you Hartwell - please continue this thoughtfulness and attention to details.

I stayed here for work, 2 days. Loved it, except for.... when I booked the room, I specified that I couldn't have feather pillows, duvets, etc... in the room due to allergies. They put the request in the notes of the reservation. I know, I saw them on my copy. I called the hotel before I flew out to be sure that this request had been taken care of. […] The girl assured me that yes, she saw the notes in my reservation and that I would be all set. Well. when I finally got there in the rain, in the dark, I was greeted by Matt at the front desk. Wonderful attitude!!!!!!!!! Couldn't have been nicer. Especially when I called him from my room to let him know that I had feather pillows and duvet in my room.!!!! He couldn't apologize enough and promptly (as promptly as he could being the only one there) brought me a different blanket and took away the other items. After that was taken care of, everything else was fantastic!!!!!! That issue is the only thing that made my overall rating drop to a 4. Go there....you will LOVE it!!!!! Get up early enough to enjoy the fabulous breakfast choices waiting in the lobby. Read more

We stayed at the Anderson Hampton Inn while doing the college tours of Clemson and UGA. Room was clean and comfortable and staff was very pleasant. I would definitely stay at this Hampton Inn again.

We were in town for a business meeting and the hotel so graciously let us check in and made sure our rooms were ready early so we could freshen up before the meeting after arriving in town. They also allowed us to switch rooms so we could have adjoining rooms and did not make us feel as though we were being too demanding. They also made sure we were […] equipped for the rain by providing an umbrella for us and had breakfast ready right on time the next morning so we were able to leave and be on time! Giyasi is an incredible host, so make sure you ask for him! We were more than pleased and this will most definitely be our stop next time we are in town! Everything was great about this hotel. The people, the breakfast food, the cleanliness. The only "issue" would be that the beds were double beds not queen size. We had my college son with us and he took one bed. But we are used to the queen beds in a hotel room so it was a bit tight for us. Other than that, everything was perfect.

I booked this hotel completely on line and based on reviews and reputation for a stop over on a long trip to the beach. We were warmly greeted with a smile and great southern hopitality by Kimla. After a short dip in the pool, we had dinner close by at J Peters based on Kimla's recommendation that we would not be disappointed and rather than eating […] at some national chain restaurants also near by. J Peters was an escellent choice and I thanked Kimla for her recommendation. Complimentary breakfast was served the next morning that was also good and filling with a wide selection with fruit, cereals, eggs, sausage, Frensch Toast, juices, waffles, etc., etc., etc. I would highly recommend the Hampton Inn in Anderson, SC and am glad we stayed.
