My fiancé and I were in town for a wedding and booked a room at the Holiday Inn Express days before (poor foresight on our part). Fortunately, it fit our needs well. Our room was well-priced, having booked less than a week in advance, and when we arrived shortly after 3pm, we were able to check in right away and drop off our luggage in the room. The […] room itself and the bathroom were clean and spacious. Also, the next morning I saw staff cleaning loads of laundry, which was comforting. The only bad thing I could say is that the air conditioner was very loud, but that's not a huge issue. We would stay there again. Oh - and a fun fact, the hotel - which is right off the highway - is located right next to a cemetery (and a Whole Foods). Strange setting, but it added some flair. Read more

This is an older property, but it appears there has been some updating within the last couple of years. Bathroom was a little tight even for 1 person. Hallways had a strong smell of air or carpet freshner to the point be to strong. Flat screen TV with Direct TV and good channel line up. Overall a good stay

I had to leave early and the breakfast was put out before 6. That really helped. The cinnamon rolls were awesome. They had friendly staff . My only issue was with the entrance. Seemed like there was only one entrance and it was difficult to get to if you happened to come from the wrong direction.

My stay was okay with the exception of the cemetry located right outisde of my window. I checked into the hotel late that night and when I woke up in the morning and peeped out the window there was the cemetery right outside my window. Other than that, all was well.

Hotel decided that Thanksgiving weekend was a good time to have all the carpets and upholstered chairs shampooed so we inhaled the chemical fumes from the work the entire three days we were there. The smell of cigarette smoke permeates the air and I needed to change rooms in an attempt to find one with the least odor. The breakfast is basic offering […] plain bagels, cereal and coffee/tea. We went to Whole Foods every morning and brought back a great breakfast to eat in the dining area. The staff is very nice and helpful with tips on the area and things to do. Clean is very important to me...and this hotel was SPOT ON....right there at the top. It is a small hotel which is also nice (2 floors only) Fast and huge & clean elevators. To sum up the old addage...you get what you pay for. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean, although someone clearly smoked at some point in this non-smoking room. The bathroom was small and there is little space to place your bathroom necessities. Check in was quick and easy. It was helpful that I prepaid with Hotels.com. No service was needed […] so an average score was given on the survey.The breakfast was a small bonus. The automatic pancake maker was pretty cool! The scrambled eggs on Sunday morning were a little crunchy. But the bananas were good! The entrance to the hotel proved a bit elusive, but we learned to get there using the abandoned gravel parking lot next door to the property. The tiny gym was a 12x12' room with a treadmill, two ellipticals, a bike and some free weights. There is no bench, nor is there room for one, so using the weights is strictly a stand up affair. But at least there is a gym. All in all, not an unpleasant experience, but not something to write home about either. Read more

Rooms were a little cramped, overall ok for a one night stay. Cute basin bathroom sink was not very practical....water bounced out and all over floor. Bathroom was very small, and had a few ants. great shopping nearby. beds were comfortable and clean. overall , very nice.

We were disappointed with the cleanliness of the room. We noticed ants in the bathroom both days/nights we stayed. Not to mention the hairs on the walls, ceiling, and floor. The location and staff were great. Our only complaint was the quality of the cleaning job done in the bathroom.

My husband and I was dissatisfied. We purchased one of the rooms with the whirlpool tub in it and it was terrible. The tub was rusty, soon as we ran the water it turned yellow because of the rust coming from the jet outlets. It was the most disgusting experience I ever had in a hotel in my life. The walls were terribly painted yellow, with black marks […] on them. The curtains were wrinkled as if they were old. It seem like noone cleaned the room in months. As soon as you walk in the door you could smell the musty odor of the hotel, the smell continued into the guest rooms. The hotel did not offer pay per view in the guest rooms. The continental breakfast did not open until 7 am, we had to leave prior to that. For the price not worth it!

It was extremely difficult to drive into the hotel from Riva road off West Street which is the normal approach to the hotel.. There was no left turn into the Hotel. I had to go to the round-about in the Annapolis Town Center and back- track in the opposite direction on Riva Road to make a right turn into the hotel. Bad start. The first room we checked into smelled horrible - like wet dirty socks or towels. We bought some air freshener hoping it would help, but needed to ask for another room on a different floor. The second was better but still not the best experience for the price.

Friendly staff, nice little gym. The beds were very comfy. Everything was clean and neat. The Free complementary buffet breakfast was excellent! It was so close to the Annapolis town center, full of shopping and great bars and restaurants, love it, very convenient! Minutes away from history Annapolis by car!
