The nicest part of our stay at Day's Inn Chicago was the fabulous welcome we received from the desk staff as we staggered in with our luggage. Neil, on the front desk, was just the best, and we would like to nominate him for employee of the year!! He took care of all our requests and made everything easy for us. The best people bring out the best in others. so Day's have got that right!

This hotel is in a great part of town, with many restaurants, bars, shops, and is within walking distance to Wrigley Field, Lake Michigan, and Belmont L-train stop. The room and bathroom are small but we didn't go to sit in the hotel room all day so this did not botherus. The bed is very comfortable and the front desk service was great. Valet is only $22 a day which I thought was reasonable. We didn't hit the breakfast since we didn't get up in time from staying out to late, so I have no comment on that...but there are so many other awesome places to eat around there that I don't know why you would waste your time...try "Frances" just a few blocks south...it was excellent. If you are not a uppity/picky type person then this hotel will be great for you due to the cheap rates and perfect location. If you like to complain, I'm sure you find plenty to complain about but I would certainly recommend this hotel to any of my friends.

If you are used to Middle American name brand hotel chains, you will be most pleasantly surprised, it's definitely not your typical motel stay. In an area you can feel safe in, within blocks of Lake Shore Drive/Lincoln Park Zoo (about 20 min. walk away), extremely well-kept/clean, Bally's gym arrangement an exceptional plus, breakfast was carb-oriented but extensive and luxe, desk and lobby personnel most helpful and respectful, for big-city the (valet only) garage parking is reasonable (half cost of most other hotels). Don't take a chance on slightly cheaper places listed--read the reviews and you'll see they are no bargains.

Although it is located about four blocks from the CTA trains, it is still just a short walk. Valet parking was reasonable. The beds had nice comfortable pillow-top mattresses which alone impresses me. There is a pancake house around the corner for late night meals. Situated in a busy area for shopping and such, with lots to do nearby.

hotel was more than what I expected! Normally when I stay in Chi-town for a weekend of fun activities surrournded by the friendliest mid-westerns known to man, my typical hotel in the N Halsted/W Belmont Ave area is much more expensive. Now that I've found The Days Inn Chicago, I'll be making my future reservations here. Was pleasantly surprised by the super friendly staff and clean rooms. The other fantastic bonus with this hotel/area is it's only an 8 minute walk to FREE parking on the streets around the North Pond!

I would not recommend this hotel if you like any sort of modern amenities. This is not for a family traveling with kids. I would only recommend this hotel to any single traveler or maybe a young couple interested in staying in Wrigleyville. It's only a 10 minute walk up to Wrigley Field, and a bunch of the bars around there look fun. Do not bring children here. The rooms are small, very old, the bathroom is tiny, with no tub. Very little space to put your stuff. Queen bed seemed too small, uncomfortable pillows, hard-to-control air conditioning in the room. Breakfast was very boring, the do it-yourself waffle maker was the highlight.

Our room at the Days Inn Chicago was very very small, but we weren't in the room long as we had come for a ball game at Wrigley. I wouldn't want to stay here if I was spending a lot of time in the room, but it was great for the purpose of our trip. Definitely within reasonable walking distance to Wrigley. The bed was a full size and a litle small for 2 grown adults. The matress was soft and lumpy as were the pillows. The bed and pillows did not make for the most comfortable night's sleep, but the floor itself was quiet. Overall, a nice stay.

I like this hotel because there was parking available ($22 for a 24 hr. period), which is hard to find at many Chicago area hotels. The room was VERY small, I couldn't believe how small it was, but we were only staying the night and it suited us fine. The shower wasn't really great, had poor pressure. The breakfast in the morning was very good, and the location was great too. I think this hotel was great for the area and price. We were able to walk to Wrigley Field, which was the reason for our stay, and this was the best value in the area.

The hotel was great I would reccomend. Don't fall for the valet service. You can park your car your self and save $3 and it's only about a 3 minute walk. The valet took forever and a day to park my car and I was in a hurry and missing a cubs game. The hotel contracts this valet service so they aren't actually affliiated with the hotel, so I won't hold that against them. Breakfast was awesome, try the waffel maker!

Only bad comment - it could be too noisy if you don't use the room fan to block the noise from the street or other rooms. It didn't bother me - the fan blocked out all noise. Great location. Nice walking area. The staff were wonderful - helped with directions, etc. Very good breakfast and pleasant breakfast room.
