Now this was no 5 star hotel, BUT it was VERY clean, VERY comfortable and the staff was VERY nice! The hot breakfast was good. The toilet was leaking and when we called the manager on duty he said he knew about it like it was no big deal. The room smelled musty like it hadn't been cleaned in a while. The best thing I can say about the hotel was the complimetary breakfast was hot and tasty!

Grounds and lobby appear to need a fresh coat of everything. Annoying that 1st floor rooms went unrented but they represented it as "none available." Hot breakfaast is biscuits and gravy? The work crews staying there seem to like it but choices for anything else were slim.

The beds were comfortable, but that was the highlight. Needs much work, bathrooms and fixtures are old, dirty and broken. Doors need to be replaces so the freeway noise isn't so noticeable. Glad we were there just for the night.

Used this motel as a "stop-over" point after spending a full day in St. Louis and not having enough time to drive home. Turned out to be more expensive than our St. Louis motel room, which had better quality & was more comfortable. Room furniture has definately seen better days in the room we occupied. Our room did not have a functioning toilet. Went to front desk to let them know and we were handed a plunger and extra towels to mop up the bathroom floor. Could not change rooms and maintenance not available on weekends.

There was a chair in my room that was so old, faded and thick dust on it that we would't sit on it, should be thrown in the dumpster immediately Uggg! No moldings around floor, just raw carpet edged along walls. Decor was dark green with blue and gray carpet and old red drapes and that creepy chair.

I have never taken the time to write a review of an establishment, but other people need to be warned about staying at this Days Inn. The staff is very rude, unprofessional and was met by a young lady behind the front desk with a mouth full of food and a piece of chicken in her hand answering our questions. We had arrived in Hannibal a couple hours […] before check in and asked if we could possibly check in early and unpack the car, but before we could finish the question we got an, "Absolutely not... No way." The room looked clean, but our non-smoking room was directly above a smoking room and the whole room smelled of smoke that got worse as the night went on from the people smoking below. We had not been given any paper work when we checked in and at check out the next morning we were told we had not been put into the hotels system and they had no record of us, but since we had pre-paid with Expedia everything was alright and we left with no receipt or anything to show we stayed there. Stay away from this hotel and go across the street or down the road to another establishment where you will be greeted by a friendly and helpful staff. We should had heeded the warnings from some of the other reviews, but we didn't think it could be as bad as others had said. We were wrong! Read more

This is one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. I have stayed in other Days Inn Hotels and was always satisfied, but not with thus one. It was reported as being totally remodeled. Ya, they painted the walls and put new beds and bedding in but that was all. I could have thrown a small animal threw the gaps around the door. And this door opened […] to the outside. Ya you got it, bug city. The moldings around the bathroom door and tub had mold issues. If it hadn't been that we were in town for family event we would have cut our vacation short and just went home. They would not return money for room, but did offer different room. We went with other family members, we had three rooms total. One room still had food in the fridge. Another room had a broken dead bolt and was difficult to get into. Maintance did come out right away and fixed it the best he could but I still did not feel safe without a dead bolt.

For the price of the hotel is OK. It looks like they are trying to update. The lobby says that it is smoke free but you can tell that it wasn't once upon a time. The pool was nice and the people were friendly. Over all not a bad place to stay.

Newly remodeled meant paint on walls. Non smoking room smelled like it just applied to outside, because a lot of smoking was done in our room. Bathroom, leaking and so small you couldnt sit on toliet straight without hitting door, nasty gutter outside of door, even for cheap price would never go back.

I was a little nervous after reading some of the previous posts on this place. This is not a new hotel. However my room was clean, though dated. The room was comfortable enough, but the bed is very firm. The breakfast was fine. Remember, this is a free hotel breakfast. It is nothing fantastic, but very serviceable and tastes fine.

This is one of the worst places we have stayed in Hannibal in the many years we have been going there on vacation. The room had bugs, the door to the room was shabby and did not even close all the way (hence the bugs). It definitely did not feel secure. The remote control didn't work. Neither did the "Free WiFi". We tried to call the desk about the […] WiFi, pnly to discover that the phone also did not work! On day two we returned from sightseeing and our room key did not work. Went to the front desk and was treated very coldl;y by a young girl named Amber. She said they were having problems with the remotes and guessed someone would have to buy batteries. She didn't really seem concerned about the bugs. Or that I could have opened the door without our useless key! I didn't feel safe there at all and didn't sleep because I kept waiting for that door to fly open. Or a centipede to climb into my hair. So, besides the fact that the place was shabby, the customer service stunk. No apology - just a cold staredown. When we checked out, once again Amber was at the desk. It was a decent value for the price, and a comfortable room. Sunday morning included a free hot breakfast, and for the number of people eating, I never once saw a staff person check the food tables. They were running out of food and condiments that were not being refilled. Also, I went past the service desk several times that a.m. and no one was there. […] They had a sign: "We've been called away; someone will be with you shortly." We stayed at the Days Inn for a night. While the accomodiations were fine, the check in gal was not friendly at all. When we wanted to check in she was put out that she had to get off the internet. Days Inn was nice and inexpensive place to stay. It was well suited for our situation - an overnight on the way to our destination. The room was comfortable and clean and we used the free internet there. They do offer a hot breakfast, however it was not well supplied or clean.

This was an ok hotel BUT all night long 18 wheelers come in and out of their parking lot (same lot as the hotel guests) and are noisey ALL NIGHT LONG. Other than that this place is fine but that one thing is a big thing if you're trying to sleep.

2 day stay - asked for clean towels as we were taking ours to the pool. Never received towels and our room was never serviced. Hotels.com booking confirmed that the room had a refrigerator and microwave; neither were present in our room, and we had brought food that needed refrigeration and cooking. Non-smoking lobby reeked of cigarette smoke.
