Econo Lodge Airport - Norfolk

Clean and comfortable, with quick van service to the airport, this is where I stay when I either fly in late or have to fly out early. Neighborhood is industrial, so no place nearby to eat except The House of Eggs for breakfast.

Would not stay at an Econo Lodge again. Non -smoking room smelled of smoke..A woman lodger was outside in the night screaming and banging doors. Exterior of motel was in disrepair!

Wouldn't stay again due to rough area, lots of permanent residents, hotel staff was very accommodating, friendly and room was clean and adequate.

We were pleased how clean the room was. They had just cleaned the carpet earlier that day. The woman who runs the hotel was very pleasant and cared about our stay. Bed linens were dirty, lock was broke on door. It was not in a safe part of town. Bulletproof glass in the office. It was scary. I would never stay here again.

It was a dive! Horrible looking, rooms dingy, free continental breakfast was white toast and stale danish in the lobby where you register with 2 small tables and 2 chairs. Worst place I ever stayed.

Don't get me wrong. Econolodge motels can be excellent, but this one was not. It was dingy and dirty-looking. There was no elevator, thus, we had to carry our heavy suitcase up a flight of stairs. When I asked the clerk for a room on the first floor, he made a face and said there was none. The hotel was conveniently located, however it was iocated next to a bar and there were several sirens through the night. There are lots of security lights on the property, one of which was right outside my window. It kept me up going off and on all night. The cleanliness was lacking. The continental breakfast consisted of coffee, some really terrible orange juice and danishes...not exactly what I expected for a continental breakfast. Very friendly front staff, shuttle to airport was very easy to arrange and fast. The room is nothing spectacular- but was fine. The room was okay for me, my wife did not like that the edges of the bed frame were frayed/scuffed. I would stay here again for sure- my wife might not!
