Here are my pluses and minuses. Pluses included a comfortable room with a flat screen T.V., a brand new beautiful lobby area,a small but adequate fitness room and improvements to the exterior. Minuses that must be mentioned include a room that needed some refurbishing as well as a good cleaning. Those maids need to wear their glasses when cleaning the floors. I dared not take off my socks!

Overall hotel was good for the value. We had one problem...no heat when we returned to our room about 11:30. Having sat outside all evening to attend a football game we were cold. (30's outside) After examination the heating element was shot. The hotel was sold out so they could not move us to a new room. Instead they did find someone to replace the unit. It was 1:30 before we had heat. Awoke at 4:00 so hot we couldn't breathe so turned heat off. Needless to say we did not get much sleep that night.

The rooms were very clean and well maintained. The bathrooms were done in a marble type material and was very nice and looked almost new. Breakfast was plentiful and good. Everything from cereal,bagels,waffles, juice, coffee, milk and more. The staff was very well prepared for questions of restaurants etc and immediately gave us a city map to help us as well. Will definitely stay there again.

we were supposed to have non smoking king rooms we got smoking double rooms. the rooms were FILTHY. our friends room had ductape for the threshold to the bathroom and our room had what looked like dried puke on the wall. it was DISGUSTING

Check-in was quick and easy. Our stay was better than expected, with a super clean room, newly renovated bathroom, in-room fridge and microwave, and waffles for breakfast. The staff were great, we came back to the motel at 1:30am our second night and our key wouldn't work, the deskclerk was very courteous and fixed it immediately and apologized for our inconvience. The only drawback was that our air-conditioner was noisy. All in all it was a great stay and we will stay here again.

We were on the second floor which was somewhat of a handicap but the room was great. New furniture, cabinet with sink, microwave and fridge. Love it.

When I reserved my room with this specific hotel, I figured that it would exactly what I had paid for....BUT!! It was much more than I could have asked for. The hotel staff was very nice, greeted me right as I walked through the doors, asked me if I had any questions, and even told me about a couple of great resturants to look into while I was staying. Also, the room was great!! It was clean, there were extra towels, wash rags, soap, shampoo, and even a hair dryer (which was great because I left mine at home). In the morning, the staff was welcoming when I checked out and there was a great variety of foods for breakfast. Since I was getting ready for a BMX race in the next hour, I was very happy to find fruit and orange juice there!! The only thing about my stay that was a little iffy was that I believe I was put in a smoking room when I had requested a non-smoking room. Other than that, the room was outstanding. I couldn't have asked for a better night stay with such a nice, budget friendly cost!

I'm not one of those people that normally stays in a four star hotel and is shocked by this hotel, we are a family of four and we normally stay in hotels that are less than 100$ a night. We were on the second floor which was reaking of smoke and they didn't have the air on , so when you walk out of your room, the hot smoky air took your breath away, the continental breakfast was a joke, the bathroom looked as if they had painted over alot of mold, and was just all around dirty, as was the carpet. the drain on the bath didn't work, so as you took a shower it filled up the bath. THe staff didn't really care about any issues, and weren't welcoming at all. The pool was pretty dirty, as well. Will NEVER stay at a Days Inn again. They have a sign at the front desk that basically says if you decide to check out early or not stay for your entire stay they won't refund the money to your card, they'll send you a check in 30-60 days. That should have been our warning right there. Don't waste your money.. the town of COlumbus was nice, just pick a different hotel!

I was kind of late calling for a reservation so can't blame the hotel for this but we were kind of out of the way for senior citizens. It was a long way away from the breakfast room. The tv in our room worked but the cable didn't so in order to watch tv, it was like looking through a blizzard. Don't know if I will book there again or not. Will try the tv before we accept the room.

For the price that I paid I can't complain too much. However I asked for a non-smoking room and they gave me a smoking one. Also the room had a weird smell the first day (not smoke) that most likely originated with the air conditioner. If money was no object or if I had to stay in town for more than a couple nights I would choose differently. But for just a night or two it is OK.

My wife and i have staied at several hotels over the years this was one of our favorite ones. the price was right and when we got to the room we expeted a bed and a tv . when we walked in we found a very large room with a king sized bed the most comfortable hotel bed i have ever slept in a couch 2 chairs a mini fridge and a microwave and a flat screen tv. and a beautifuly done bathroom with all the aminities. we did not care for the free breakfast which was mostly donuts and they had a waffle iron which ment who ever was cooking waffels was in the way of everyone trying to get something else it would have made more sence to have pre made waffels and put them in a toaster . over all i would give them an A

I was very pleased with the overall room and service. The only thing I did not like was the amenities. Most Hotels have complimentary soaps, toothbrushes, shaving cream, sewing kits, ect....on hand if you forget something. It seemed like we all forgot our toothbrushes. Not something you like to be without when traveling and too tired at night to go buy one. Otherwise our stay was wonderful.

Don't expect too much when you book a stay here...Don't get me wrong, very friendly staff, but not the most prestigious place; although for the price you shouldn't expect it to be. I was told the rooms were recently updated, but are obviously poorly crafted. I have stay here multiple times whenever I have early morning meetings as I normally commute on a daily basis. Good breakfast, free highspeed internet, and friendly smiles make this stay enjoyable however. I do recommend this hotel is your on a tight budget and do not want to stay at the knights Inn down the street.

When we booked online we booked a King smoking room. When we checked in they had us in a non smoking room. We had the option of keeping the non smoking room or switching to a double smoking room. We switched rooms because it was the same price which was nice. Once in our room there were several holes in the walls that had been patched, the toilet rocked from side to side (fortunately it did not leak), the light fixture outside of the bathroom was falling off the wall, the refrigerator was making a noise so we unplugged it and it stopped, but we couldn't keep drinks cold. The bed was not that comfortable but okay for our two night stay. Overall I would not recommend anyone to stay in this hotel unless it was unavoidable. The hotel needs to fix all the problems with light fixtures, holes, and rocking toilets.

Not a bad room for the price. The biggest problems were that the refrigerator made a weird whining noise (even after unplugging it) and that we could hear everything going on in the hallway. On the plus side, the front desk staff was very helpful in suggesting restaurants for dinner and was overall very pleasant.

The room was clean, bed had fresh linens. Halls were unusually warm. I was startled to learn that there was not an elevator in this hotel. One member of my party found it challenging to climb the stairs. 2nd floor ice machine was unplugged.

This hotel room was clean and adequate for the price paid. The staff was friendly and tried to be helpful. We had a problem with the air conditioning; it quit in the middle of the night leaving the room very hot and stuffy, but it was repaired the next day. If you are a breakfast fan, stay somewhere else; the variety of offerings is scant, and they ran out of various items on both days of our stay. (One morning it was napkins, and the ladies room was also out of towels, so cleanup required a trip back to the room.)

seems to me that after the remodel it was not "detailed"--lots of little things were left unfinished in bathroom---horrible painting of walls--furniture was broken(couch& frig)---just very unhappy with room and we've stayed at many Days Inn---just too many htings to list

The staff was friendly & helpful. The room was larger than expected, comfortable & clean. The breakfast could have had a larger variety but all in all not too bad. The only negative thing is that they need a new Days Inn sign put up - it looked as though the hotel was closed when we 1st arrived!

Not recommended Trip type: Family "Not Worth the Money"

We arrived about 15 minutes after check in. My sons and I were given a smoking room, although I had booked a non-smoking room. I called the desk and was told that no non-smoking rooms were were available. I took my hotels.com reservation with me and showed the non-smoking room reservation and was eventually assigned a non-smoking room. We were given another room, however as soon as we entered the other room, the phone rang from the front desk and another couple showed up in our room. The hotel had booked the room with another couple while also booking it with us. We were moved to a third room. This hotel does not have elevators, so each trip to pick up and return a key was with stairs. In addition to that, there was mold on the shower curtain, the bathroom door did not close, nor have a lock. On the next day (we had a two night stay), after an excursion out, we returned to our room and the key was decoded, which required yet another trip to the front desk. On an upbeat note, the outside landscaping around the pool was very pretty. I would not recommend this hotel for anyone.

Supposed to be a non-smoking room, but it stunk. (Fortunately our noses got used to it after a few minutes.) Looked like the maid never swept in the bathroom. (Some dirt and a goldfish cracker were hiding under the sink when we got there.) No hair conditioner or kleenex were in the room when we got there. When the room was serviced, we needed new towels, washcloths, and shampoo. All we got were new towels, and the maid took the washcloths. I went to the front desk and got all I needed -- washcloths, kleenex, and conditioner. (So why couldn't the maid leave them??) We also felt damp all the time. Like the feeling you get when dressing into clothes that hadn't spent enough time in the dryer. Also, the first night the fuse to the bathroom circuits blew, but it was reset within about 20 minutes of reporting it, and it didn't happen again. The breakfast was the typical continental -- a couple choices of cold cereal, bread bagels and muffins, and cold hard-boiled eggs. They also had a computer in the lobby that could be used to access the internet for free. The shower was fine -- decent hot water and pressure. The hair dryer didn't work very well. Overall, it wasn't a particularly nice hotel, but the staff was friendly, and it wasn't too expensive. It certainly wouldn't be my first choice again, but it was tolerable.

The room and the bed was okay but the bath didn't hold water and then you couldn't get but a trickle of water. They did offer to move us but we were so tired that we just decided to stay dirty and go to bed. Finally my husband went down and got a pliers to get the water out of the tub.
