For the money we were very pleased. I was concerned as we were coming from a long distance, but our concerns left the moment we walked into the lobby. If you are staying on the American side of the Falls, this is the best location. You are literally across the street from the Falls. You can actually hear the Falls, if you open your window. If you want to go to the casino, it is just a two block walk. The breakfast buffet was awesome and I would stay here again. Location of this hotel was great. Across the street from the falls. You could here it from the parking lot. After we checked out we left our vehicle in the parking lot and spent most of the day checking out the falls. I had a non-smoking room which I got but it was on a floor with smoking rooms. The hotel is in a great location. When you walk out the door, the park is directly across the street. The room was clean and had a nice sized TV, as well as a table and chairs area. It's a run of the mill motel in a prime location. Minutes of walking gets you to the falls and goat island. The American side of the falls provides excellent access to the the falls themselves but little else.

staff was friendly, air conditioner smelled bad (prob. why it wasn't on when we arrived), lobby/rooms need remodeling. free breakfast was great. didn't realize when I booked that it didn't have a pool (who doesn't have a pool??). very convienient to the sites but the other (newer)hotels are only a block away including the casino.

Had a wonderful, if short, stay. One of our "bucket list" items and we enjoyed every minute! The hotel was across the street from the falls, clean, had a wonderful array of breakfast items included in the room rate and within walking distance to everything!

Everything was clean and in place...nothing to complain about except for one thing (which I found to be evident everywhere else we went in the area)...the temperature in the hallways was a little too high for comfort...but like I mentioned earlier...it seems that […] every other building we visited had the same level of temp, if not worse. Other than that...we were pleased with our stay. Also to mention, my family and I are big breakfast eaters...they had scrambled eggs, sausage, breakfast pastries, waffles, fresh fruit, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, toast, and all breakfast beverages for their guests. Had a problem with WIFI which was not working at 6am. This was a problem for me as I had an interview scheduled over Skype with someone in South Africa. The night staff could not help and didn't even have a number they could call. All they could do was advise me that we'd have to wait until 8am when the manager arrived. I asked him to get the manager […] to call me when he arrived so that I could suggest to him that he needs to educate and train his night staff to be able to deal with this sort of problem. I'm still waiting for that call. By 8:30 no call and still no internet, I went to the now days staff and was told that only two people had complained so they hadn't sorted it yet. Just how many complaints did they need before taking action and where is the manager? On the plus side the majority of the staff where very friendly and helpful. Read more

This hotel has very competitive pricing, and it has the absolute best location on the US side of the falls. Its doors faces the Niagara Falls State Park, so literally you come down from the hotel and walk right up to the park. This is great, because it enables you to simply take a stroll along the park (and see the falls) whenever you want to, and walk […] back to your hotel as needed (e.g. bathroom emergency or to change clothes after getting wet at the Cave of the Winds). On the downside, the conditions of the hotel are above acceptable, but it's evident that its days of glory are long gone. The carpeting is old, the halls has a distinct "old" smell, but then again, we visited the finer 4-5 stars hotels in the area and apparently they're all the same. It seems the whole area has been forgotten by tourists in general, therefore hotel owners are unable to keep updating their hotels as frequently. Having said that, the Comfort Inn The Pointe is fairly updated (on a relative basis). Also, the rooms are spacious, and have all the amenities you need (flat lcd cable tv, free wifi, free parking, free breakfast, a/c - heater, hot/cold water). In addition, the staff could be a bit more friendly, but nothing out of the ordinary. Read more

Great Location!!! Right across the street from the American Falls. When we booked on Hotels.com, all that was available was a smoking room with two double beds. When we arrived, I asked if they had a non smoking room with a king bed. So they were able to give us a non smoking with king bed at the same price. Very happy with this hotel... Hotel was clean, staff was helpful, and the location of the hotel was perfect. We really enjoyed being able to walk right out the door and be in Niagara falls park. This is an older property that has been fixed up really well, VALUE FOR THE MONEY IN THAT MARKET 10!, Continental breakfast, 10!, STAFF 10! This is a tough market to find a hotel/motel, at a fair price, that is clean and aparently well managed, I'll be back!

The hotel floor had a string smell of smoke. But other than that its a superb hotel in terms of location and price. Its barely a couple of mins walk to Niagara. Also they have free wi-fi access and free breakfast(that alone would save you $20-25 a day). This hotel is definitely to check out simply because its a no-frills hotel with good freebies.

Very accommodating. The 1st room we really didn't like. The 2nd room was much much better . The view was awesome. The bed was so comfy. Room very clean. Nice touch with the jazzcui . Definitely very hotel to stay. The only downside was the fitness room. Time for a upgrade. The breakfast was very good too.
