I have not stayed at this hotel for a few years and the quality has declined SIGNIFICANTLY. The beds were saggy, we could not have the air conditioner on because it smelled so bad. Will not stay here again.

We enjoyed our get-a-way.The staff was very pleasent and our room was clean and spacious.They had a nice indoor pool with easy access to outside if you wanted to sit in the sun.They had a lot of different choices for the continental breakfast with a seating area.

Just stayed a single night on the way to Millinocket. No airport shuttle but gave free vouchers for taxi to/from airport. Under construction at the moment but they made every effort to maintain service. Breakfast was large and tasty. Rooms spacious, beds comfortable, bathrooms new and convernient. For the price, an outstanding value.

My room smelled bad, but I opened the window and it was fine after awhile. The housekeepers could do well to air out the rooms by opening windows rather than just cranking up the air conditioner! Hotel was nice - room was well appointed and very clean. Pool was great for the kids. Front desk staff was extremely professional and efficient, yet friendly. Very clean and nice budget hotel. I've stayed at a number at the intersection of I-95 and I-395 in Bangor and thus far this one is the best. Will definitely plan to stay here again on future trips.

I can't complain. Everything was great. Although I did not have a chance to use the pool, I heard it was a little on the cold side. Room was clean. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Staff was very accomodating. All in all, I say it was a very good deal.

We stayed here during the UMaine orientation. Other than the hotel lobby being renovated, it was in good condition. The beds were very comfortable with extra cushioning on the top. Because it is so close to an airport we were concerned that we would hear the planes overhead, but I did not hear any and slept very well. While the hotel staff were pleasant and helpful the hotel itself is quite run down. It is undergoing lobby construction - sawdust everywhere. The king size bed in our room was old and uncomfortable and the box spring was uncovered. The room and hallways were dark and dingy.

Stayed there to use the transport service to the airport.Two floors and no elevator! Front desk offered to have maintenance main carry suitcases to 2nd floor. He was very nice. Back entryway carpet was old and dirty. Room smelled like a bar - yet it was a non-smoking room. Sickening smell of fragrance to cover it up did not help. Fire alarm went off […] twice overnight. No explanation of what was wrong. No one to tel the guest it was safe to go back in - either time. Front desk personal the next morning was not very nice. Will NEVER stay there again. BAD experience. I have stayed at this hotel a couple of years ago, and then for two weekends in a row this past month. The first vist went well. The room was clean and the staff was pleasant. The hotel is doing some upgrades so I dont hold that against them. Complementary breakfast was good as usual with several choices. The second weekend, the desk clerk wasnt warm […] and fuzzy but who is at work, at midnight. He was professional and got the job done. (Same man in the am, extremly helpful). The only complaint that I had was that there was a towel hanging on the back of the bathroom door, slightly damp, and not ours. We stayed at Howard Johnsons right down the road a few weeks ago and we were very upset with the condition of that place, Days Inn was so much more for only a little more money. Clean, comfortable and just a whole lot nicer.

It is definitely in need of a remodel where the rooms are concerned...outdated is more perfect I suppose. I did notice that they are remodeling the front desk area so, maybe it will extend to the rooms? It's ideal location close to the airport, close to the interstates and a few places close by to eat help if you have a longer stay such as I did. Everything had been renovated! From the hall carpet and wallpaper to the doors and trim. The beds were comfortable, great sheets, new tile and shower surround, love that the sinks are outside the bathroom. Made getting ready in the morning great for 3 girls. Really nice little hotel!

Very clean, quiet and comfortable. The breakfast had a wide variety of options. The shuttle from the airport was very helpful and prompt. We enjoyed watching planes land. The noise was not overwhelming and the number of planes landing was low.

Days Inn in Bangor was an excellent value for the money. Very nice room. Comfortable bed. Nice folks at the desk. This is a great place to stay If you don't mind having the sink and wash up in the room and not as a full bath. Only complaint was that the internet was not working, but that problem was with the service provider.

Making it up the stairs to get to our hotel room with 3 kids and about 9 bags was a challenge without an elevator. When we got to our room, we discovered our phone wasn't working. The two double beds seemed smaller than usual. We trekked down to the desk to ask for a cot, which was brought up immediately. The only problem was it looked about 30 years […] old, and the only place there was room for it, would have blocked our door. Employees were very nice and helpful, the pool was great for the kids, and they offered a good breakfast. We went out for supper and went to the movies without having to drive anywhere. Haven't stayed at the Days Inn for a long time. Saw some upgrades to the rooms; however, I was traveling with my family and we had 2 small children, requested 2 rooms, connected if possible. The recent updates were very nice and helped with our rating of the hotel. BUT--the upholstered chair was visibly filthy so we could not use it. We stay at Days Inn every time we head south to Bangor. It has the best indoor pool and the most comfortable beds. My family includes myself, my husband, and my two boys, ages 10 and 13. We always have a great stay! We also enjoy having the Ground Round right in the same parking lot as the hotel. Super Convenient.
