My room was overdue for a renovation. Especially the bathroom. No elevators to a third floor room. Not fun hauling luggage up stairs with a late night arrival.

Traveling with a dog can be difficult - 2 darn near impossilbe. Holiday Inn not only allows dogs, but they gave us a welcome kit for each dog with treats and toys!! The pool area is surrounded by a planted courtyard, water features, and walkways.The poolside rooms have patios with chairs and easy access to the pool area which makes it great for kids. The hotel used to have a hot tub but it has been removed. The pool water is a bit cold for my enjoyment but the kids did not seem to mind. The hotel was not new, but everything was updated except the tub faucet. The staff was friendly and very helpful, the rooms were very large and comfortable.The heat was from an old wall unit so that is never my choice but it worked so no complaints.

It was fine. It's a typical Holiday Inn. Not tooo close to the highway so it was quiet. Restaurant food was good. Staff was pleasant.

Hotel was comfortable, quiet, and clean. The walk from the desk to the room felt like a mile, but it was worth the walk. I was disappointed that the movies would not come on in the room. Otherwise, the price was spectacular, the location was convenient (right off the highway), and the ambiance pleasant.

Helpful and friendly front desk. Food was OK, standard hotel fare. Friendly and efficient wait staff. Did not use any other amenities. We have stayed here before due to it's location. It is just off the highway, but there are no restaurants or stores nearby.

This was a very comfortable over night stay on the way to another destination. We arrived about 10:30pm and were still able to get sandwiches and drinks in the bar. Every employee we met could not have been more helpful or pleasant. This was a great find.

I was quite surprised to find a hotel of this caliber in Boxborough. The quality was that of those found in a major city. That being said, the location was right off the highway and well marked. We were there 3 nights and the next day, each time, we had to replace the key card because they kept losing magnetism. This meant walking back to the desk, past a long hallway, then taking the elevator to the lobby.When you are tired and your knees hurt, this is more than a minor inconvenience.Otherwise all else was fine.

The service was below my expectations as a Gold Member. The front desk personnel checking in were slow and not aware or trained well in Customer interactions. The checkout was an issue as I did not get a receipt and he had difficulty in producing one. Could not wait. The bartender (tall male) not very friendly or service oriented.

This hotel was adequate. There is no "wow" factor here. Although the basics are all here (wifi finally being installed during my stay), overall the facility feels old and in need of refurbishment. The staff was friendly but not enthusiastic... the rooms were clean but not updated... for the money this hotel was just okay.

The staff here is incredibly accommodating and kind. They bent over backwards to take care of me every time I asked for anything. I have never stayed in any hotel where the staff was so kind and wonderful. I highly recommend this hotel, and would stay there happily again.

The front desk were not very friendly. They told me nothing other than where the room was located. There was no complimentary breakfast. And the restaurant at the hotel had absurd prices.

This is the second time I have stayed at HI Boxborough and am--as before--surprised that it has bad ratings. The staff are amazingly friendly, even calling after I was settled in my room to ask if everything was in order, asking if I needed anything. The restaurant is exceptional with some of the best prime rib I have had outside of a multi-star steakhouse; […] the drinks are also generously poured. Unfortunately, the pool was closed for maintenance during this visit, but it was open previously, and I enjoyed the warm and clear water. The pool area is beautiful, complete with tropical vegetation and fountains with the great sound of splashing. Upon arrival, I am greeted by name, with a broad smile, and have yet to be refused a room upgrade. I am hesitant to recommend this property only because I do not want it to fill-up, thereby leaving me without a room. I have no complaints about this property, despite having been personally described as overly-critical by friends and family. See you there! Read more

Stayed at this hotel when we went tubing at Nashoba. We were very pleased with the condition of the hotel and our room. It was clean, updated, and comfortable. This is the third time in the past year that my daughter and I have stayed at this hotel. This time however the visit was less than stellar! The hot water in the shower would not turn off and maintenance had to be called. The sink in the bathroom did not drain properly and the toilet almost overflowed each time it was used. The heater was quite loud […] and I had a difficult time getting to sleep. Additionally, in the morning the guests in a neighboring were smoking in a non-smoking room- YUCK! At the hotel restaurant, the waiter forgot my daughter's side dish and I eventually had to ask another server to get them for us. In addition, the waiter gave me the wrong side dish. However, the room was clean and the pool facilities were a great way to spend a winter afternoon! We had to check our room at time of check-in because of possible hot water "issues", but we had scalding hot water at the tub. However, next morning , when my wife tried to shower, there was NO hot water. After calling the front desk, we were told that someone would bring us a key to a room where we could shower. When my wife went to that room, she […] found a room which had been just vacated and was dirty, with towels on the floor. A trip to the front desk resulted in the manager sending her to another room which housekeeping had assured him was clean. Not so; this room, also , was dirty, prompting my wife to drag me with her to confront the front desk. The desk manager apparrently checked himself for a clean room , and sent us on the way top clean showers one more time. While at this room, a member of housekeeping brought us coupons for complimentary breakfast, which did not benefit us since I had already paid extra for breakfast when I booked the hotel. All this very unfortunate, since this hotel is just about the ONLY choice when we visit relatives in the area. On our last few trips the only worthwhile feature has been breakfast buffet. Read more
