Not at all what I expected from a Ritz Carlton. I have stayed at many of the properties around the world and this was the first time I was disgusted. The furniture was old and tattered, the carpet was stained, hard water build up around the shower door and an empty honor bar.

The public space is beautifully furnished and in excellent condition. The pool is ridiculously small, and decidedly not luxurious. No jacuzzi. No Spa. The guestrooms are tiny, and are very disapointing for ritz standards. Tiny bathrooms as well.

Just wanted to escape the cold winter weather for a few days. Booked at the Ritz … not really having any agenda for our trip. The hotel was located within the business district; stores for shopping/dining directly across Camelback Road. The staff at the Ritz is exceptional. If we had to do the trip over, we'd have booked a hotel in Scottsdale … we really loved that area.

Amazing service! I accidentally booked my two nights for the wrong weekend and when I arrived the weekend before they still honored the great deal I found on Expedia! They were super friendly and accommodating. The hotel staff were amazing. They were all happy and helpful.

My fiancé took me here for a little birthday staycation. It was amazing. Friendly staff, spotless rooms, and a warm welcome where ever you are. The staff found out it was my birthday and in the mid afternoon brought up a piece of cake with a bucket of a variety of waters, because of one drink alcohol, and in chocolate wrote on the plate happy birthday. I've never had a hotel treat me as well as this one. I would absolutely go back.

this is a top-drawer hotel which seems to cater to the business traveler. Although it is located in an area very close to good restaurants and shopping, the amenities of the hotel are geared more toward the business traveler than the vacation/resort set. Hotel staff were uniformly courteous and helpful. Fitness center was small but adequate. Room was entirely comfortable and well-appointed. I would stay here again.

My family enjoyed our stay for one night prior to our departure to the airport back home the next day. The rooms were very clean and staff very helpful,attentive and friendly. The downside is that you have to pay for everything else a la carte. Be ready for a parking daily fee of 39.00 which is what I paid in NY city for hotel parking and Phoenix HS more space for parking so I found that a rip off. There is complimentary coffee int he lobby till 8 am which is ice but I got there at 8:30 not knowing and it was gone. However the nice people in the restaurant took care of me. Pool was very nice and a fire pit was going at night which was pretty. Room service was nice and a little pricey but we were at the Ritz so I expected that. Plenty of shopping around and a great deli across the street with breakfast burritos if you need to get up and go. All in all a nice stay and a beautiful hotel!

We stayed here because all of the hotels provided by the airline were booked. We missed our connecting flight and had to stay in Phoenix. It was OK, the staff was very friendly and professional. The lobby and grounds were clean and presentable. Our room was less to be desired, the lavatory sink was cracked all the way down the middle, the bathtub was outdated and the porcelain was chipping. The lampshades had water stains on them. The heated salt water pool was relaxing and great for the kids. All in all, I wouldn't have paid the price I paid for a one night stay if the 1 and 2 star hotels in Phoenix were not going for almost 200 bucks a night.

The Ritz means a higher level of customer service and comfort. The staff treats everyone like a VIP. Our hotel reservation on Expedia was accidentally input for five days earlier (not prepaid). When we showed up the computer said there was no reservation. We had been in the car for four hours and with a delayed fight add five more hours plus no dinner. Needless to say we were a bit stressed. The hotel honored our reservation and discounted it by 65 dollars a day. We were treated like special guests by everyone e.g. it took awhile for the coffee and pastries in the morning so the hotel did not charge us. You get what you pay for with excellent customer service. The computers were very slow with bad connections but the people were unmatched.

Fun trip to the Fiesta Bowl. We were only there for one night, but had a great lunch at Del Frisco's near the Ritz before driving to Glendale for the game. We enjoyed an easy family hike up Camelback Mountain the next morning. After the hike, we had a nice lunch at Culinary Dropout in Scottsdale and then shopped and enjoyed the art galleries before flying home.

We gave this night to my son and his wife for their fifth anniversary. I have never heard both of them rave more about a gift. They had such a spectacular time, and could not say enough wonderful things about The Ritz Carlton and her staff! From Jeffries High Tea, Exquisitely appointed rooms, a fully equipped exercise room with personal towels and bottles of water at each piece of equipment, to walking under the tunnel (and making an acapella video using the great natural acoustics) to the shops at the Biltmore, everything was SUPERB!

Although we only stayed one night - it was wonderful! The service was exceptional and the staff was so very kind and helpful! We were running late to a booksigning and the staff couldn't have been more supportive getting us to our room, helping us locate the bookstore and just being lovely. When we returned we were exhausted (we had driven in that day from Las Vegas) and had room service (that is 24 hrs - thank you!) It was well priced, came quickly and was exceptional. We had the steak and chicken fettucine and it's the best we ever had and this was at 10:00pm! Now one warning: the hotel is difficult to find, especially at night. It is directly on the corner of 24th and Camelback. The hotel's name is obscured by trees and there is a bistro on the corner further obscuring the hotel. We went past it several times and had to finally call. So, just keep your eyes open and pull in to the first entrance on Camelback immediately past 24th and you'll be fine.

We found the hotel, especially the club level concierges, to be extremely helpful given that we were traveling with our one year old daughter. The hotel was extremely clean and the housekeeping organized our room in a logical manner despite the variety and multitude of our luggage.

The finish on our headboard was coming off and the faucet stuck, and i called and no one fixed it--totally wierd for a Ritz. We had a bartendar that was over the top rude. The pool bar was closed so you had to wait for room service. Not your typically Ritz stay...

Arrived Thursday evening for a one-day meeting at the hotel on Friday, and left Saturday morning. Less than a 20 minute drive from the airport. Had time to enjoy the pool, staff was courteous and helpful, food at Bistro 24 was great though not many other people dining or at the bar. Hotel transport back to the airport was great.

A hotel of the caliber of the Ritz-Carlton should have a full restaurant open all seven days of the week, including for dinner. A bar menu on Sunday and Monday nights is not in keeping with the hotel's reputation nor the expectations of the R-C. Although the wait staff on Monday was able to get a full dinner out of the kitchen, it shouldn't have to be such a special effort. Most people will decline to put the staff to extraordinary measures, and will simply decline eating dinner on Sunday and Monday nights at the hotel.

This is a very nice hotel and the service is amazing, consistent with other Ritz Carltons. However if you were in the room and hadn't been told it was a Ritz Carlton, nothing would indicate it. Bathroom is old but pretty marble, nothing fancy. Food in bar was really ordinary. There was a piano musician Sat night who was amazing, one of our favorite features of RC's is the love music and this one delivered. music was from 5:00-8:00. American Grill across the street is the place to eat for special meal.

I enjoyed staying at the Rizt as first time guest here. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Always ready to offer a cold bottle of water while waiting for taxi. The restaurant staff are fabulous and caring. I was rushing to get some quick bites before the conference and got a nice bowl of soup from their quick thinking. The bed was very comfortable and the washroom is alway freshly done. Would highly recommend this wonderful hotel with superb service.

4人でスイートを予約していたが、案内された部屋はツインだった。さすがに4人では荷物も広げられないため、フロントに戻り予約と違うことを伝えたが、スイートなら万単位での追加金が必要とのこと。私たちの拙い英語力では説明しきれず、日本のエクスぺディアの方に電話で相談したところホテル側と話し合ってくれたようで、しばらくして予約通りの部屋に案内された。初めての個人予約だったが、最初からつまづいてしまいトラウマになりそう・・・ ホテル自体はとても快適で過ごしやすかっただけに残念な記憶となった。

I work with a client firm that always uses Ritz Carltons, so I stay in their hotels several times each year for group events. We can always count on great service. The food is good. But the bathrooms are dark. Even the lighted cosmetic mirrors are dark. Impossible to beautify for the harsh light of day! And on top of that, the Phoenix facility seemed a bit run down for the brand. The location is kind of boring, among offices and across from an okay mall with Macy's and several chain restaurants. Exercise facility is good, pool area is nice. The rumor was that this property is closing this summer as a Ritz and reopening as another Marriott brand. If you get a special deal as it winds down, it's fine for a stay, but not exciting.

On July 24th this fantastic property will close it's doors only to re-emerge from the ashes sometime next year as a Marriott. I am so sad as I just love this hotel. While it does look a little dated for a Ritz, the location, the Club level and the staff are truly Top Notch! We have stayed here before on business trips and just recently stayed for a get-a-way. Everything about our stay was perfection. I'm Marriott Platinum so they upgraded us to a suite and it was enormous (had an entry way, living room, two bathrooms and a separate bedroom)! The price was SO reasonable, even if we were just in a normal room, I would have still been happy, but this was luxurious. The food this past stay was also of note. I was truly wow'd by the food presentations in the Club lounge and we ordered chips/guac/roasted salsa at the pool one afternoon and even that was special. I'm going to miss this hotel! If you the chance to do a stay before it closes, I highly recommend it!

Great service the staff was wonderful and the same quality service you expect at a Ritz.although most of my time was spent at meetings, golf outings and business functions I was able to enjoy my last day relaxing. The resturant was excellent and the service again was great keep up the good work.

The staff was first rate and everyone from the valet to the bellman to the front desk and the restaurant staff were very attentive. The rooms and public areas were a little dated but well kept up. The one thing that was a tiny disappointment were the elevators. They are very dark and hard to see the floor numbers. I was here on a business trip and it is a great location for that. The desks in the room were well equipped for working with extra plug ins for all of the electronics we require nowadays. However the chair was not ergonomic and you could not adjust the height which was not great for sitting at for any length of time when working on a laptop. My other complaint is the charge for use of wifi is excessive. This is the 21st century after all.

Pretty good location. But does seem dated. Restaurant was ok. Just not very fancy. Clean. Just not lux. I hear may be bought by other chain and they will move to other top location for new hotel there. 1980s decor. Max 1990s, early. On 8th floor and could also hear the highway pretty well.

It is apparent that this place has seen better times and is in need of a serious refurbishment to come up to the Ritz standards. It is a solid three. Nothing special. I will be staying elsewhere on my next visit to Phoenix. The only positive is the location.

Everything you would expect from a Ritz. Room and facilities were spotless. Restaurant was excellent. Pool is a bit small compared to some of the larger hotels in town. If you are in town for vacation, may want to look at one of those. For business, though, it's perfect.

We recently stayed at the Ritz in Phoenix, AZ and wow, what a great experience. Within hours, it seems, all the staff members know your name. Very friendly, open doors for you, hold the elevator for you, just that kind of service. It was awesome !

Price does not equal quality in this case. The pool should be called a wading pool, it's not more than 3 ft deep The size might be 20 ft by 20 ft at most. Poolside service, not to be found. The Spa is only a wannabee spa. No permanent staff. Internet is considered an "extra". Noisy walls are thin. Outdated. Needs major renovation. Property owners are milking every last dime. The rooms are not worth the price. Does not live in to the Ritz-Carlton brand. Moral of the story, stay elsewhere. Like the Biltmore, for 20$ more you will have the VIA rooms, complete with lounge, Internet, 7 real pools.
