I had never stayed at this Hampton Inn and reserved a room when I couldn't find anything else available. I was pleasantly surprised by the accomodations. The room was large and very clean and the bed extremely comfortble. It had all the amenities you'd find in the Courtyard Marriott (which is where I usually stay, but it's much more expensive). Overall, we had a good experience at the Hampton Inn North. We were close to family, able to get directions and suggestions from staff with ease. The room was hot when we came […] in and just thought the AC was having trouble keeping up with the rarely high temps in MI (100+ degrees), but let the staff know the following day and found out that the window was barely open and letting the hot air in. Easy fix, quick and responsive maintenance staff- even helped get our dirty towels out of the room and replaced with new ones, since we had the baby napping during the regular housekeeping round. The condition of the hotel was just "ok"- it seemed to be an older hotel and had tears in the carpet and the shower curtain wouldn't stay closed on either side. The beds were soft with heavy, warm comforters. Our daughter just loved sleeping on the sofa bed- she thought it was the best part about vacation. She was sad to leave the hotel- and family! there's also an applebee's attached to the hotel- breakfast was complentary and available each morning. We stayed at the Hampton Inn Ann Arbor North because they accepted pets. We were travelling with two dogs, neither one small, and they were extremely welcoming to us. We went up for my son's football camp at the University of Michigan. the hotel was very nice and clean. North of campus but a very easy drive in about 10 minutes at the most. It is located out of the hustle and bustle but still close with Applebee's attached and a CVS right next door. Very nice, clean and quiet. Hotel is conveniently located near north campus. Lots of restaurants around. But I found the facility is bit cramped. Room itself is OK. Bed is comfy. I now stay at the Hampton Inn North every time I go to Ann Arbor. The staff are very accommodating and the rooms are lovely and clean. It is easily accessed from US 23 although the turn onto Green is easy to overlook. Close to U of M and reasonable distance from Detroit events, it is a good locale.

Stay was decent. In room 225, apparently there was a problem with the plumbing. Our toilet or the one above constantly was running. This was a slight annoyance during the night. But not a huge deal for me to complain about.

The front desk staff was extremely helpful. Also the free shuttle service on week days is a real plus, which included taking you to the U of M campus, and also picking you up and taking you back to the hotel.

Great hotel, no complaints. Friendly staff, useful business center, beds were VERY comfortable. Conveniently located near a 24 hour drugstore and a Sweet water's Cafe which makes some of the best espresso in ann arbor.

Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. I was visiting the University of Michigan School of Public Health for admitted students day. The hotel provided shuttle service to/from the University of Michigan campus, which was very helpful since it was not within walking distance. Bed was ok, walls were a little thin.

With the exception of being an Ohio State fan and staying in Ann Arbor (deep in enemy territory) I thought the hotel was great! good general location and there is so much around there... If I end up needing another room in Ann Arbor I will stay there again!

I stayed for two days on business. It was a great stay. I was invited out for breakfast the second day, but after sampling the breakfast buffet, I turned it down. It was so good.
