Although it was a few miles from the heart of everything, the hotel was very nice. The breakfast, popcorn and cookies were thoughtful. The employees were very friendly and helpful!

The holiday inn was nice but I didn't like that when I made the reservations that I asked for two beds and received only one and I also didn't like that I asked for a non smoking room and I was in a smoking room. I don't care if I used this site or not to book this stay if I am paying more for a room for these things I should get it. I also don't care […] if I check in later than others I HAVE the reservations I should get what I ask for. The first time I stayed at this hotel it was fine but I was not happy about this time. I am not sure that I would recommend this hotel for these to major reasons. The back door also didn't always lock when you entered I didn't really feel safe with knowing that either. The hotel was a 10-15 min walk to Beale St. and the neighborhood wasn't aas bad as I had thought after reading some reviews. I can see where some people may have been leary of the walk but I never felt uncomfortable on the walk. I would stay again.. Very friendly staff!

hotel is updated in a decent neighborhood. It's close to lots of restaurants on Union and to downtown, but not close enough to walk. Beds were very comfy and breakfast was a typical holiday inn style, but hot and good. overall great stay and friendly staff.

They were all booked up those few nights we were there. We felt like they took advantage of the fact that we booked with Hotels.com because they placed us in some "overflow" room in the smoking section. When we complained, they deferred us to hotels.com instead of trying to accommodate us in any way.

I was happy with this hotel, which has a gym, serves breakfast, and offered free hot cocoa and popcorn all evening. The surrounding neighborhood was a little rough, but they had a police office on site all evening, which helped me feel safer.

Everything was good. A standard brekfast, eggs susage, bacon, cinne buns, juices, toast and of course coffee. With a big welcome by the staff. The room was nice and the staff kept it clean. The only set back was the location, in terms of walkinf around. However, there was security all night and we had no problems within the hotel
