"Still a reliable choice in Tokyo."
This is the third time I've stayed at the Shinagawa Prince hotel, but the first time in the Annex Tower. It was perfectly fine, I downgraded the "Condition and Upkeep" because of a stained bedcover which obviously should be replaced, but otherwise the condition was better that what I've had in the Main tower. I gave the "comfort" a four just because […] it is quite small by American standards (but average for Japanese standards). Fortunately the air conditioning system had been turned on, so we could cool down the room as we wanted (many Japanese hotels don't turn on the A/C until June, this was early May). The food court has some pretty good, reasonably priced eats, and the cable internet provided 22 meg download speed, twice as fast as I have at home. NOTE: wireless internet will cost you 500 yen a day to "rent", so make sure you have an ethernet port or a LAN to USB convertor (I didn't have one but found one quickly at Yodobashi Camera in Akiba). The wired ethernet is free. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Great hotel for the price!"
This was a really nice and modern hotel. The room was a bit small for two people, but this is not uncommon for most hotels in Tokyo. Otherwise, we really enjoyed our stay, and felt that it was very comfortable.Genuine Expedia guest review
It was smaller room than I expected and the room was not so clean...Genuine Expedia guest review
This hotel is very good. It is right next to the train station so it is easy to get around.Genuine Expedia guest review
The location is excellent with all amenities close to the hotel. The room was small but clean and comfortable. The staff was excellent, and willing to help.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Location Location Location"
We love staying at the Shinagawa prince. We joined the prince club (free membership) and with the card you are able to check in earlier than the general public and also opt for a late check out. When I stayed here back in October 2012 we were able to check out at 6pm, which was wonderful traveling with a 3 year old as our flight was not until 1130pm. […] We opted for the "green cleaning" where we got 500 yen for each night they did not need to come clean the room. We used those coupons towards eating at Hapuna for breakfast. There is about 20-30 different restaurants within a one block radius, including tons of places to pick up to go food at Shinagawa station which is literally across the street. I would recommend staying at either the Main tower (high floor) or Annex. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Ok for the price"
The hotel is conveniently located, it in front of Shinagawa train starion. Convenient to go to the airport and take Shinkansen to other places in Japan.the hotel is a bit dated, rooms are very small. Not much choices for TV channels unless you understand Japanese. However since the price is cheap it is a good option to short trip. For longer ones, better […] find something else. "New and nice"
I had stayed with Shinagawa Prince before in the old East Tower. This time I booked the North Tower without knowing it. The rooms are still tiny but everything is on-par with any other 4+-star hotels I've been to. Be there while it is new.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Nice Destination Hotel with great JR Train access"
This is a resort style complex with many entertainment options. The aquarium is nice and the dophin/whale show is especially good. The hotel is undergoing renovations. We enjoyed our room and the great view of Tokyo and Mt. Fuji.Genuine Expedia guest review
Excellent. Absolutely no complaintsGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Location perfect hotel"
Although I have stayed at this hotel before, the soap container was empty in our room. The bed was also not as comfortable. However, the location is perfect to begin our journey on the shinakansen to other parts of Japan. Many food places at the hotel and sourrounding areas.Genuine Expedia guest review
Out of the six hotels we stayed at in Japan, this was the most dated. The room was larger than the typical hotel, but I liked this hotel the least due to it's age. It was clean, but didn't appear as clean as the other hotels once again probably due to it's age. It is conveniently located to the train station and easy to get around. The hotel seemed […] extremely busy with a lot of tour groups. I personally prefer the smaller boutique hotels. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Excellent place to stay in Tokyo"
We always choose to stay at the Shinagawa Prince whenever we come to Tokyo. The staff are always so helpful and pleasant, the hotel itself is great and location is excellent.Genuine Expedia guest review
Located next to Shinagawa Station which is on the Shinkansen and the Yamanote Loop. Able to get to many major sports from there and the station is not too big as to be overwhelming.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great hotel to stay in Tokyo"
We enjoyed out stay!! Our room was very small but it's common to Japanese hotels. We truly enjoyed the warm, kind hospitality of staff. From Bell person to housekeeping staff everyone was well-mannered. We highly recommend this hotel. Right in front of Shinagawa station was very convenient. We will stay in this hotel again!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great location, mixed review"
Great location next to Shinagawa station, and terrific view from our room on the 29th floor of the main tower. There are three different towers, and I would not recommend the older East tower. Our twin room was a bit snug, with only a bit of space for a very small couch and desk. It was clean and comfortable though, with nice beds. No wireless unless […] you rent a modem at the main desk, which was unavailable the first two times I asked. This was a bit disappointing, as I would have expected wireless to be available throughout the hotel for a fee. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"great service and amazing location"
I stayed in both the east tower and the main tower this trip over 4 days. East tower is much cheaper but it is really for one person on business, with lot smaller rooms. I was alone and not in my room at all, so it was perfect. The location is amazing. I took the Narita express to shinagawa station directly, and is is really a few minute from the station. […] When you have flown for 10 plus hours, it is so nice to just be able to check in direclty off the Narita express. The main tower rooms are much more luxurious, with marble bathroom etc. It is great if you use the room more or if there are more than one person. In both cases, I enjoyed the service. It is Japan, with attentiveness. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Disappointed that they didn't have any wifi anywhere in the building It is 2013!Genuine Expedia guest review
We have always stayed at Shinagawa on our trips to Japan. It is easy to get to by train from Haneda Airport. It's right across the station and surrounded by shopping and eating establishments. I always book the main tower, high floor.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great location/service; A bit dated but clean"
This is a typical mid-range hotel in Japan--with great location w/ easy access to the airports and impressive service. The bldg. is a bit dated, but it has been renovated and it is impeccably maintained; the cleaning crew does a very nice job! The room was quite small, but it is pretty much normal by the Japanese standards. Although the restaurants […] in the hotel are quite pricey, there is a food court within the complex, there is a Sukiya restaurant a block away, and there are some "famiresu" restaurants around, as well (Google it if you don't know what they are)--where you can have good food at an unbelievably reasonable price. And, yes, there is also a MacDonald's by the hotel entrance... I will definitely stay again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good for the price"
The rooms are typical Japanese tiny and the beds are hard as a rock. To stay here I have to travel with a piece of foam to make it comfortable. A tatami mat and futon would be softer. But I stay here because the price is good and the hotel is conveniently located just across the street from Shinagawa Station.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Hotel was excellent. As always with any place in Japan the service was superb!!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"My home hotel"
When traveling to Tokyo I always stay at the Shinagawa Prince Hotel. The location is excellent, right accross the JR and Keisei train lines and on the JR Yamanote (circular Tokyo Metropolitan line). The entrire staff are very efficient, courteous and always helpful. I injured my ankle and was unable to walk and the staff asissted in providing and coordinating […] my transportation from the station, to the hotel, within the hotel well as to get back to the airport for my flight back to Honolulu. Everyone spoke enough English so that communication was not a problem. Although I was I was confined to the Hotel area, the stay was enjoyable because of the immediately surrounding areas and especially the Hotel staff. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Most convenient location for trains"
Regular rooms are small. Stayed at Annex building last time, they were a little bigger. This time we are at main building, rooms are more updated for sure, but very small. If you have large suitcases, will not work well. We had 2 roller boards, which fit well. Location is most convenient, Shinagawa station has revive for Yamamoto line which is main […] circle, NEX to airport, and all the Shinkansen lines. Lots of restaurants in the station and around. This is no Hilton or Intercon... But a can't beat location. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel is in a great location for Shinagawa Train Station. Rooms are comfortable and clean but getting old. Staff and service are good. Breakfast is expensive.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Refurbed rooms and well equipped; good location"
Main Tower High Floor rooms are small but modern and well equipped.Genuine Expedia guest review
The hotel is too big for my taste. It feels like a resort with so many people around, shopping center, and aquarium attached. The rooms are nice and the view is great. I wish the bathroom matched the room decor with a more modern facility. Overall I think it is ok if you get a good deal but otherwise I would stay somewhere else.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Second stay, and I would return again."
Excellent location-directly across the street from Shinagawa Train Station, one of the main train stations in Tokyo. There is shopping (even a Seven Eleven) and many restaurant locations within the block-all varieties of food including McDonald's and even TGI Friday's. This hotel is within a 30 minute bus ride from Haneda International Airport and can […] also be reached by a train line or the monorail/train combination. Only one disappointment-although this is a very large hotel, maintenance advised us that the air conditioning is turned off during the winter. If one's room faces the sun in the afternoon, it heats up (even with the drapes closed). The temperature in our room did not dip below 77 degrees, even at night. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Very well conveniently located"
I've stayed 9 nights at the Shinagawa Prince Hotel, and I would definitely stay there again. It is located next to the Shinagawa Station, where you can take trains to almost anywhere in Japan with easy connections. It is close to the Haneda airport too. Transportation to/from Narita airport is easy through Narita Express train.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Location is so convenient, staff always helpful, we have been staying there for over 20 years even though there are newer hotels in the area.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Give you a comfort in the busy Tokyo life"
Overall a very good hotel with a great location, a good quality of services, a good price. I use this hotel very often, and this time I found they started providing a free in-room LAN service which I always missed. This is a great plus to the already great hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Clse to major train station"
It was an okay hotel. I chose it because of its proximity to the train station. Our main problem was, with the three rooms we got, the room temperature was rather warm, even ift was winter. We could not adjust the room temperature as it was automatically set to a certain temperature. I brought along my kids with me, and with the size of th room, we […] got main tower high floor, it was rather very small with all the luggages and other stuff.. But overall it was just ok.. "Super convenient for public transportation"
JR train station is just across the street. There's food stalls and a small market under the Wing store across the street as well. The hotel itself is nice. Stayed in the north tower and it was clean. The room was very tiny and the beds a tad hard for my comfort. We had a room facing the station, the view was great, we could also see Tokyo tower. The […] extreme easy access to the train station is really all that matters! The hotel also has a few restaurants and a food court. "Good hotel to stay in Tokyo"
Good location in Tokyo for business. Great hotel to stay with the price I paid. All the staffs were in good manner and I felt "royal." Only the drawback was the room was a little small when compared to rooms in the US (not as small as room in the UK, though).Genuine Expedia guest review
"American Tourist for 1 week"
North Tower was simple, well-priced, and a good value. The North Tower is inexpensive and good if you're looking for a bed to sleep in and a shower to use. Keep in mind it is not much more than that. Personally, I look for basic comfort and do not focus on staying around the hotel and enjoying amenities - I was there as a tourist seeing the city not […] the hotel. Staff was wonderful and helpful. "Overall, very happy"
The location of the hotel is very convenient- right across the street from the Shinagawa station. Service was great when we needed anything. We stayed here for a week and the air was extremely dry to the point that we felt thirsty and my skin was itchy. They provided a humidifier/air purifier combo for free. It's an older building so the interior was […] not all that impressive but it's okay. The beds are on the firm side and felt uncomfortable at first but I was able to sleep fine maybe because I was so tired every day. The in-room massage was nice. They do deep tissue massage and don't speak English so that could be a problem if you want something different. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Shinagawa Prince Hotel"
Good price for the location. The north tower is dated. One of the two elevators is out of service; it's inconvenient. Front desk personnels were helpful. The bus shuttle service to the airport is great. We may choose the main tower next time.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
