"Excellent value for business travelers on the go"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 26, 2013
This hotel lives up to its expectations. It's clean and quiet in a very convenient locale. Complimentary in-room Internet service and morning breakfast in the lobby area are much appreciated as a business traveler. Room is small, but not unlike hotels in other major cities, and the room is cleaned and refreshed daily. Excellent overall value and would stay there again.
"Nice Stay"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 26, 2013
The hotel is very convenient for Tokyo Disney and Disney Sea but had to take a bus to the airport, which is about an hour drive and cost $24 per person. It was across the street from the Disney Train which gave us access to the subway for getting around in Tokyo.

"Great hotel for Family with Kids."
Quality of room is excellent - clean, size of twin rooms bigger than the normal Japan standards. Service is good, quick check-in & out. Location is excellent, with the station just a 5-minute walk. With all the convenience stores, restaurants nearby. Plus the Aqua Stadium. Hotel rates via Expedia is very reasonable. My children (age 18,14 & 9) all […] enjoyed their stay in this hotel. "Great hotel for business and site-seeing in Tokyo"
This is the 4th time I've stayed at this hotel on mostly business but also with extended time to see the sites. It is extremely convenient to the Shinagawa Train Station and to get to all Tokyo destinations. The hotel has shopping areas for everything from everyday toiletry needs to souveniers and upscale clothing, multiple restaurants for all tastes […] and budget (including Japanese cuisine, steak restaurants, coffee shops, Italian food and even a McDonald's on the ground floor). I always stay in the double room, main tower, high floor. This room is updated and clean with a double bed, desk, small refrigerator and includes free internet. I only have two complaints about these rooms ... the pillows tend to be hard and it is difficult to control the temperature in the room. I've stayed here in summer, fall, winter and it always tends to be too warm. Even with a thermostat in the room, it doesn't seem to cool it down sufficiently. The staff is extremely helpful and so polite. It is hard to return to the U.S. after a stay in Japan. Even though this hotel isn't perfect, the location, price and amenities are hard to beat. "North Tower a bit rundown"
The location is great but the decor in the North Tower definitely needs some updating. The bathroom appeared clean but smelled strongly of urine. Too much furniture in the room. We did not need the extra chair and end table. Hard to beat if you are off to the airport the next morning as it is directly across the street from the Shinagawa station where […] you may catch a direct train to Narita. "Good Location"
The location was great. The hotel was across the street from the Shinagawa train station. It made it easy to get from the airport to the hotel and to go to various areas around the city. We stayed in two different rooms in the hotel. The first room was in good condition. The second was in need of remodeling. Both rooms were clean and a little larger […] than what you normally find in a Japanese hotel. Over all we enjoyed our stay at the hotel and will probably stay there again when we are in Tokyo. "Great for anyone"
Ez access from Narita through door to door bus service; Ez check-in and professional treatment; the Main Tower (upper floor) was new and clean; dining options in Hotel or right outside Hotel property; Shinagawa Station of JR Yamanote line was literally across the street which was perfect.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Massive hotel convenient to transportation"
Large inpersonal business hotel with English speaking employees convenient to transportation (JR lines, Shinkansen to /from Kyoto, Narita Airport express, and airport limousine bus) . Convenient location; as a business traveler, the location was great, but would not recommend for the family trip. The room was not cozy as the furniture placement was awkward.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great Location"
Room was rather dated, however, we were able to pay a few extra dollars and upgraded to a larger room. Great location with 7-11, McDonalds and many eateries close by. Shinagawa Station right across the street.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good Hotel"
Very close to subway and the JR line. Good customer service, English speaking staff, nice rooms. Main tower room with high floors have great city views. Beds are not that comfortable. There was a lot of dust in the TV Cabinet and a tea pot thing filled with water. I'm not sure if they really change it everyday? I didn't use it though. Bathroom has a […] bidet and tub, supplies many toiletries - shampoo, body wash, conditioner, razor, toothbrush, shower cap, brush, comb, cotton swab.Downside is there is no free WIFI , only wired internet. You can pay for WIFI but it's not cheap. This sucks for those who are not the business travelers with a laptop who only have smart phone to get online. There are a couple cafe/restaurants in the same complex with free WIFI though so go there to use it. Not much tourist stuff to see, but many restaurants to eat and close to the public transit to go wherever you want. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Easy, comfortable stay for a business traveler."
Arrived late at night, check in process was quick and simple, the room small but confortable. Everything in the room worked including the TV remote, all the lights, the sink stopper...which is all too rare of an experience. If I return to Tokyo, I would go out of my way to stay there again.Genuine Expedia guest review

I wanted a single room but got a room with two beds. There was no room to move. The staff was excellent. The breakfast buffet was outstanding. The hotel is very convenient since it is across the street from the Shinagawa Station.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Convenient location, decent accommodation..."
Shinagawa, in the last few years, has perhaps become the most important transportation hub in Tokyo--and the hotel is located right in front of the Shinagawa Station. So, the location is excellent. Shinagawa Prince is a giant hotel consisting of several buildings, and the service is excellent-- although the sheer size of the hotel can make things a […] bit more hectic than they have to be, at times. The East Tower is the oldest of the bldgs. there, which can translate into smaller rooms, insufficient number of elevators, etc., but the room was generally clean and it had recently been renovated. The hotel is perfectly located right next to Shinagawa station in the midst of shops, cafes and restaurants with a neighboring aqua stadium as a bonus. "convice location and 7-11 is right down stairs"
We stay in the North Tower and the rooms should be remodel. The room was dark and just look old. Ours friends was in the North tower for one day before upgrading to the Main tower. "Convenient location, quiet neighborhood"
Was helpful to have the Shinagawa station right across the street. Also, the hotel complex had great stores to buy last minute gifts to bring home; but otherwise, I didn't find much going on in this neighborhood. My single room was pretty small but was efficient and clean. The hotel has a great view from their restaurants on the 38th and 39th floors […] as well and the price was decent for a sushi lunch while you enjoy the view. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"I'd Stay Again!"
Location! Location! Location! This hotel is all about convenience. It's right in front of JR Shinagawa Station, literally one minute walk from the station's central exit. It's super convenient from Haneda Airport via Keikyu Shuttle Train. It's also excellent commute even to/from Narita Airport as Limousine buses stop right in front of the hotel entrance. […] The hotel is surrounded by hundreds of decently-priced but excellent restaurants of all kinds, so no worry about finding places to eat. Shinagawa Station is one of the best stations in Tokyo to connect different areas, too. You can easily go to Shibuya, Emperor's Palace, Akihabara, and other major attractions without hustle. If you get lost, just hail a taxi, and say the name of the hotel. There's NO taxi driver in Tokyo who doesn't know this hotel, I guarantee. The hotel complex is huge, but each room is really tiny, and the bathroom is as small as an airplane lavatory (no joke). But the room is very clean and quiet. For only $70 per night for a single room in the very middle of Tokyo, I had no complaint. If you are looking for luxury atmosphere, don't choose this. But if you are a utilitarian low budget traveler, this is one of the best deals in town. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great location and a functional room."
Despite its teeny size, the room is very functional, and any business traveler with small budget can't ask more as it has an ample desk with perfect lighting and a PC outlet; digital TV; enough closet space for a short stay; and again very functional, compact bathroom unit. The hotel is very close to Shinagawa JR station (3-minute walk) from which […] you can go to both Narita International airport and Haneda airport by one train ride. It's very convenient for travelers from overseas. The only minus is that there's no subway stations nearby. You have to take a JR train from Shinagawa to connecting subway stations, but JR trains lead you to Shibuya, Shinjuku, and Ginza for less than 10 minutes. So this is a minor complaint. "Main Tower is a good deal."
This hotel has three towers. This time we stayed in the main tower (previously the Annex and the North Tower). The main tower is nicer and roomier.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Perfectly adequate"
We spent two nights in a twin room in the North Tower. The room was adequate, but quite small. Just moving around the room was a challenge. The bathroom was tiny, too. Internet access in the room was over $13 for 24 hours. The room was NOT expensive and perhaps one gets what one pays for.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Location, Location, Location"
We stayed with my girlfriend for 3 days in Tokyo. I decided to stay at the Shinagawa Prince hotel after several reviews pointed to its convenient location which is right across Shinagawa train station. They were right to suggest this hotel. The location is great. You literally cross the street and find yourself connected to any place in Tokyo (or Japan […] for that matter). As far as the room it was small but that is to be expected in Japan. The price thanks to Hotels.com was affordable and comparable to hotels in the USA which for Tokyo is a bargain. The hotel has plenty of restaurants (pricey) and bars within it and surrounding it. My only negative is that the hotel has a very antiquated way of providing internet connection. There is no wi-fi in the room. Only Ethernet (landline which you connect through a cable) so they charge you money to give you the service and charge you money for an ethernet cable. There is only one place where you can get wifi and that is on the hotel's second floor. You have to buy a card and jump through hoops in order to activate it. This was very frustrating and unnecessary in this day and age. I've been to small hotels all over the world and the wi-fi is free. It seems very tacky of them to charge and on top of it the reception is bad. Other than that the hotel is nice and like I said the location is great. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

The room did not seem to be the same as the one in the picture when I booked it. The room seems to need updating. Maybe one of the other towers would have been better. "Several Buildings, One Hotel"
The Shinagawa Prince Hotel is actually several buildings under one business umbrella, and the room quality between them is quite different. They are all serviced by the same company and they provide very good service, but the quality of the room itself is highly dependent on which "tower" you stay in. We were in the Main tower for a couple days, and […] the room was very nice with an excellent view of the city. We then moved to the lower priced North tower for several days and the room was clean, but small and with lower quality amenities and no view at all (the back of another building). My ratings are a compromise between the two different buildings. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great for families!!!"
I brought my teenage daughter and her friend. The hotel had lots of shopping, entertainment, and activities where the kids could wander off to do on their own. While wandering they lost their cell phone, e-reader, and several keys (ughh!!!). Not only was the staff patient when it came to reissuing keys, but they went out of their way to investigate […] who the electronic devices belonged to, and returned them promptly. We requested a room on a higher floor. It was on the 31st floor and had a beautiful view of the city and Mt. Fuji in the distance. The room seemed new with 2 beds, a small couch, desk, and tv.
