Loved this hotel! Second time staying here. This is a very hip hotel and if you are looking for a quiet getaway then this is not for you. There is a little noise but not that much at least compared to every other hotel that I have stayed at and I travel every other week. The bar/night club was nice and I was treated like a VIP and so were my guest. Very friendly staff . A little slow on service. Room was very clean and well decorated. Overall, will prob. always stay at this property when visiting the ATL.

The hotel is beautiful and the accomodations are truly top notch. The lobby was beautiful and the room was even better. I took my chance to party late night in Whiskey Blue which was also a ton of fun. The only thing that was a blow to the high was $30 for parking.

Room was very attractive, and comfortable, BUT, the bathroom was separated from the room by a GLASS door; opaque, but still gave one the feeling of little privacy. In addition, there was no sink/vanity area outside of the bathroom, so only one person at a time could make use of the facilities. Also, heard alot of hallway sounds, and the ventilation system in the room was quite loud. Lastly, there was no coffee pot in the room; we called the desk and requested one, as the card on the nightstand suggested, but one wasn't brought up, although it was promised.

Staying at the "W" was an amazing experience. From the moment we arrived until we checked out, we were treated as if we actually mattered to them... it was a refreshing change from the average hotel chains we stay in. The front desk staff was unbelievably courteous and so very kind and helpful. The location is perfect for anyone who wants to be downtown, too. The valet parking service was very reliable and it was so nice to not have to worry about parking and then retrieving our car. We can't wait to get another weekend away so we can book again at the "W" in Buckhead.

We had a super comfortable room and a great time. Our only complaint is that at around 2 a.m. on Sunday morning we had about 12 people literally screaming and laughing for nearly two hours. It was impossible not to be disturbed by them and we had to call hotel security twice. At some point we heard the noisy guests mention that we had called. I was uncomfortable knowing that security gave out our room number as those who complained. I felt they simply should have asked the noisy guests to be more quiet for everyone, not just us and they certainly should not have shared who complained. I have honestly never heard that much noise in a hotel in my life and I have traveled all over the world. Other than that, the stay was great.

PROS - OUR STAY WAS WONDERFUL (WITH A FEW EXCEPTIONS). THE HOTEL WAS EXTREMELY NICE AND THE LOCATION IS THE VERY BEST IN BUCKHEAD! ON ARRIVAL THE STAFF WAS EXTREMELY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL AND CONTINUED TO BE UNTIL THE NEXT MORNING. CONS - THE NEXT MORNING WE REALIZED THAT OUR SHOWER DID NOT WORK. THE WATER WOULD NOT COME ON AND WE WERE SCHEDULED TO CHECK OUT SHORTLY. WE CALLED THE FRONT DESK AND THEY SENT SOMEONE UP ABOUT 20 MINUTES LATER, ONCE WE WERE ALREADY PACKED AND READY TO GO. WE MENTIONED THIS WHEN WE CHECKED OUT AND ALL THEY COULD SAY WAS...WE'RE SORRY. THERE WAS NO "COULD WE GET YOU ANOTHER ROOM TO SHOWER IN" OR "CAN WE TAKE SOME OFF YOUR ROOM FEE" NOTHING. WE WERE A LITTLE DISAPPOINTED IN THIS BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT A HOTEL ROOM IS BASICALLY FOR, RIGHT? TO SLEEP IN AND TAKE A SHOWER. WHEN ONE OF THOSE IS MISSING IT SEEMS THEY WOULD TRY TO MAKE GOOD BEING THAT THEY ARE SUCH A HIGH QUALITY HOTEL. THE OTHER INCIDENT WAS WE CALLED FOR THE MINI BAR KEY THAT SAME MORNING SO WE COULD HAVE A SODA AND IT TOOK ABOUT 20 MINUTES TO GET THE KEY TO US, ONLY TO FIND OUT IT WAS NOT LOCKED ANYWAY AND THERE WERE SEVERAL EMPTY/USED ITEMS IN THE REFRIGERATOR. I CAN ONLY HOPE THEY DO NOT BILL US FOR THESE ITEMS. WE MENTIONED THIS TOO AT CHECKOUT AND ALL WE GOT WAS A "I'M SORRY". THIS IS A WONDERFUL HOTEL AND MY HUSBAND AND I WOULD STAY THERE AGAIN, BUT WE ARE CERTAINLY CHECKING EVERYTHING IN OUR ROOM FIRST BEFORE WE DO ANYTHING ELSE.

This was my first time staying at a W hotel and it pretty much met my expectations...the cool vibe, the modern rooms. The service was great - for example, we asked for additional blankets and they arrived very quickly, along with a follow-up call to make sure we'd received them. The location in Buckhead is pretty good - close to the highways and to Lenox shopping center, but is on a busy street, which can make turning into/out of the hotel difficult, but manageable. The hotel has a nice pool on the 4th floor and a great gym. We had no problems with delays in getting our car from the valet, but at $30/night, it's not cheap. The hotel has a great restaurant attached with a nice seating area outside. The only reason I would hesitate to recommend this hotel is the bathroom. The sink is open to the room, which is fine, but the toilet and bathtub are not in a separate room. Rather, they are separated from the room by an opaque sliding door. I have a problem with sliding doors for bathrooms to begin with, but an opaque door? You can literally see someone using the bathroom. Fine for singles and couples, I suppose, but we happened to have a friend stay in our room the second night and the bathroom situation was a bit nightmarish for me. Having said that, if the door doesn't sound like it would be a problem for you, then this hotel definitely lives up to the W reputation.

The hotel was great, staff was very accommodating and the roof top Whiskey Bar was an awesome perk. The hotel has done a good job of preserving the mystique of the Whiskey Bar to draw in locals while still maintaining accessibility to the hotel guests. The rooms and hotel spaces were decorated in what you would expect from the W, very contemporary, very neat, very chic. The mid rise roof top infinity pool was a nice touch too. My one complaint would be the shock value of my room service charges. The hotel should do a better job of making sure that hotel guests are advised of all of the additional charges that are tacked on to their already high room service prices; deliver charge, fixed gratuity (which seemed excessive) and tax. The valet prices seemed high as well. Overall a cool place to stay.

My friend and I both enjoyed the the design of the room. The BLISS bath products and the cozy robes were a treat. The beds were incredibly comfortable. Complaints- The mandatory valet service was rushed. They did not get the bags out of the car for us and we ended up leaving items in the car that we had to go back and get. Our room on the second floor was located over the hotel bar and overlooked the entrance resulting in: a) hearing car doors open and close while the valets dealt with the bar clientelle. b) bass vibrations from the bar sound system that came up through the floor and mattress and did not end until 3:30 am. Had we realised this problem sooner, we sould have called to request a room change. After maybe only 4 hours of rest, I'm glad I did not have an important meeting the next day.

Service was exceptional. The staff was accommodating and excessively helpful - almost to a fault. The room itself was immaculate, aesthetically pleasing and reasonably comfortable. Normally I might criticize the pretentiousness but I understand this is an upscale hotel in the heart of Buckhead, so I didn't expect people to be ordering chili dogs at the Whiskey Blue wearing tank tops. And regardless of my apparel (jeans and sandals) I didn't feel dismissed or judged. The downfall of this particular hotel is the price. On absolutely everything. I do expect a certain mark-up for convenience but some of the prices made me scoff. More importantly, the quality did not justify the price. One of the most notable items was $25 for a plate of terribly crunchy cookies and a cup of tea. When I say terribly crunchy, I mean they were clearly removed from a generic box and thrown onto a plate. For that price I expected something freshly baked or at least home-made. The W in Buckhead is essentially expensive shoes that hurt when you wear them. They're pretty, trendy and popular but they're impractical, pretentious and painful on your wallet and feet.
