It was the perfect place to stop between the Dell's and Door County. The staff was fantastic, the rooms were clean & comfortable and the kids loved the pool & hot tub.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Good hotel but outrageous charge for pet at $40 per night. Web site and front desk said cost was per stay but we were charged for each of 2 nights ($80 total). Will not stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Stevens Point Dear Mark, Thank you for your review of the Fairfield Inn & Suites Stevens Point. I’m very sorry to hear about the problems you encountered with your bill. Our pet fee is actually $50, and our records indicate that you were only charged the one time. I'm not certain why you are showing something different, but would be happy to look into it. I hope that you will reconsider and allow us the opportunity to host you the next time you are in the area. Sincerely, Coreen D. General Manager

"If you have too"
I should have stayed in Wausau and dealt with driving the extra distance. it was generally mediocre. Staff seemed like just didn't care. The breakfast was.....food. could have stayed somewhere a little further away to my destination and had nicer for cheaper.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Close to restaurants, clean and comfortable"
I saw the outstanding rating and have to echo that. It is very clean and comfortable. I was just passing through town and not there for any particular event, so I had no particular need for anything close by except for dinner! There were a lot of restaurants nearby and the interstate was also close.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Front desk very nice. breakfast ample and tasty nice area of town close to a lot of storesGenuine Expedia guest review
"Excellent Wisconsin Hospitality"
This is a great place to stay. The rooms are very clean and the front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Conveniently located to the interstate and about 25 minutes from Central Wisconsin Airport. Right next to some great restaurants as well.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel close to Rudolph, WI"
This was a quick trip to visit the grandparents for the holidays. The kids always enjoy swimming in the pool, which was nice and warm. They also loved the "make your own" waffles for breakfast.Genuine Expedia guest review
They provided me with a sewing kit that truly helped me. Excellent service.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We were in Stevens Point for graduation and the hotel was located close to the University. It was very clean, had a nice workout room and very nice continental breakfast.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

We were very happy with the staff, very friendly. We couldn't have asked for a cleaner room. Breakfast had many options and it was maintained well. We would stay again without a doubt.Genuine Expedia guest review

"It is the nicest and cleanest I have seen in years"
We work all over Wisconsin as commercial decorators and my wife and I both agree that this is a wonderful place to stay.Genuine Expedia guest review
exceeded expectations for a generic hotel. It was cleaner, and the bed/pillows were more like a resort level...Genuine Expedia guest review
I was very happy with my stay here. The room was as I expected it, breakfast was very appealing and with a ton of options. The pool and hot tub were nice to enjoy and the staff was very nice and helpful!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Too Noisy and a GM with an Attitude"
This hotel has VERY thin walls, you could hear doors slamming all around you. At 7:00 on Sunday morning, the door slamming started and the conversations in the hall sounded like they were taking place in our room. Our room also smelled like stale/old smoke. So much so, that I inquired at the front desk as to whether or not our room was a former smoking […] room. The evening front desk clerk did her best to help our situation but since the hotel was full, she couldn't move us to a new room. When we tried to discuss our dissatisfaction with the General Manager the following morning, she was very rude and stated she didn't know what we were smelling but it wasn't the hotels fault. We travel to Stevens Point area at least 6 - 8 times a year and this is the LAST time I will stay at this hotel! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Clean & Convenient"
Clean, reliable and convenient for those driving through. Plenty of amenities.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Convenient, Comfortable and Quiet"
The hotel staff was very friendly and even helped give us suggestions of something to do before our event we were attending that evening. The room was very clean and the beds were so comfortable! The hotel is literally a block off the main highway, so it's convenient and easy to get to! The only negative I had was the shower (not sure if all the rooms […] had this) but the shower head is one of those moveable handheld ones and doesn't give a nice strong stream. But this is so minor I didn't deduct from anything else this hotel offers. Then breakfast - one of the BEST continental breakfasts I've seen. LOTS of options for food, also not just milk and OJ - they had a variety of juices and lemon water - VERY clean and well kept. Will most definitely stay here again! "Stevens Point visit"
The only complaint....need more healthier breakfast selections. Plenty of brands to pick from verses the usual C-Store/Grocery store offerings they did have there during my 5 day stay. Jimmy Dean is a cheap product for a Marriott location. TCGenuine Expedia guest review

"Desk Clerk with Anger Issues"
08/22/14 WyoPete Cheyenne, Wyoming
Your average chain hotel, but it's my fault I should of picked a better place. Motel was clean and quiet but the free breakfast (yes I know don't gripe it"s FREE) was ice cold and nasty. When we checked out I told the lady at the front desk about the breakfast and she came unglued. One would think see was Gordon Ramsey. I was just trying to informative. Sorry!
"The staff goes above and beyond!"
08/21/14 Fabiene P Sterling, Illinois
We recently stayed here a night for a sporting event. What a treat. The room was spotless and very comfortable. The staff, well I can't say enough good about them. Because the event started very early in the morning, they had a wonderful breakfast set up an hour earlier for us. They also let us check out later to afford us to come back from the event and shower up. We never asked for any of this, they offered to do all they could to make our stay enjoyable. Fairfield Inn, we will definitely be back.
"Great Service +Great Breakfast - Unknown Hairs in my Room"
08/06/14 emilie01010 NY
The lobby is clean and bright. The front desk check in person went above and beyond to be friendly and check us in. She even gave us coupons to the local restaurant Grazies next door. I highly recommend it--delicious food. We stayed on the bottom floor. My room had windows that opened out onto the parking lot, which meant I kept my blinds closed at all times. I was traveling with a friend so we asked for rooms near each other. The front desk was happy to oblige. My room was comfortable, but the cleaning woman did not do a good job. After I had unpacked and was settling into my room, I found a couple long dark hairs in my sink, several short ones in my shower and a couple eyelashes on my phone. That was pretty gross. The bed itself was very clean and comfortable. The AC was good. The room was comfortable but for the hair issue. Breakfast was included with our stay--scrambled eggs, sausage and all the continental breakfast essentials. I mentioned the hair issue at check out and the front desk apologized. I had booked through a third party so she couldn't refund anything, but she offered me a free water and apologized. I would stay here again, but I would check the sink and tub before I settled into the room and request a room change if I encountered the hair situation again.
"Double awesome after the renovations!"
Very cool interior, the rooms look great, the rooms were spotless, and the new beds are incredibly comfortable. They also upgraded the breakfast with many hot items to choose from, and there were plenty of places to sit and eat (the old breakfast room was smaller) Fantastic value!
"Worth Every Penny"

This was the third time my husband and I stayed at the Fairfield Inn and Suites in Stevens Point during the past year. I have been known to occasionally use priceline.com and bid on a cheap room--but I would never even consider doing that in Stevens Point. Some places are worth paying the full price for--and the Fairfield Inn and Suites in Stevens Point is one of those places. They have the friendliest staff I have ever encountered. Brianna has taken my phone reservation and checked us in on alll 3 visits. An earlier reviewer called her a "Rock Star" and I would have to agree. She remembers why we are coming (one of the reasons being to visit the Kozy Yak Brewery in nearby Rosholt) and helps us in every way she can. The rooms are spotless. Marlene cleaned our room this time. My husband saw her report for duty this morning and said he never saw a happier person walking into work. The breakfast is just perfect: usually scrambled eggs, sausage, and hot oatmeal along with muffins, bagels, yogart, hardboiled eggs, etc. Belle worked the breakfast area both morning and made sure we had everything we needed --as well as taking away our dirty plates. I think the manager, Coreen is to be commended for the staff she hires and the way she runs this inn. We asked for her help more than once (My husband misplaced his keys once and I wanted a thorough explanation of how the Marriott Rewards Program works.) and she went out of her way to assist us.On our first visit they were not sold out like they were this time and we received a free upgrade due to the fact we are Rewards Members. The older I get the less I feel like staying in hotels--but coming here is the exception. My husband and I almost feel like we are visiting family.
This was our first time staying in Stevens Point and the Fairfield was recommended by a friend. We booked three rooms and asked for a late check out on one room. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. The rooms were very comfortable, the breakfast had quite the variety. I discovered that in the rush of six people changing in one room a pair of earrings were lost. I called the hotel the next day the earrings were located and they sent them in the mail. Looking forward to our next stay!
"Comfortable stay for business trip"
07/11/14 Jonathan B Naperville, Illinois
The Fairfield Inn properties by Marriott are all very similar. This one is right in line with what you would expect from a Fairfield Inn (breakfast, WiFi included, etc.), but was very well kept and had very friendly staff. I would definitely consider staying here again on a future business trip.

Had to travel to Marshfield for meetings and stayed at this hotel as there are no Marriott hotels in Marshfield. Glad we did. Everything was perfect. Staff friendly, hotel/rooms clean, breakfast plentiful. Husband used Fitness Room - always appreciative when there are free weights besides equipment. Loved the location - close to restaurants and shopping. Would not hesitate to stay again.
"Could Not Ask for a Better Stay!"
05/28/14 Robert Z Arlington Heights, Illinois
If you are looking to stay in the area, look no further than the Fairfield. Clean, quiet, convenient, and the staff is top notch. Amy, especially, was over the top helpful in both getting our award stay booked and even giving directions over the phone (The Marriott app had me going the wrong way). Breakfast was abundant, hot, fresh and hit the spot. I'm contemplating coming up with a reason to comeback to Stevens Point just so we can stay here again.

The rural part of Wisconsin isn't exactly dripping in hotel choices, so given the slim pickings in this region, this isn't a bad hotel at all. Clean, conveniently located, not too bad. One issue I ran into was a clash between the interior designer and the architect. I was upgraded to the executive king, and as I sit at the table writing, I notice that the sofa is crammed barely 18 inches from the table. My office chair is all the way at one end of the table because that's too close to the sofa also. There is a tiny coffee table wedged between another chair and sofa. The rooms just are not big enough for the recommended Fairfield furniture, which made the sitting area feel cramped. Other than this observation, it's an okay hotel. Nothing to get excited about.
