The other reviews I read prior to staying here were exactly right. The decor is very pretty, beds were comfy but the restaurant and room service were seriously lacking. Restaurant closed early every day due to lack of customers. Room service closed early for same reason. Pool even closed early one day. Also, towels & bed linens were clean, but some were torn or had worn edges. Kind of shoddy.

Loved the hotel so much after a long 10-hour drive that we booked it again on the drive back. You melt in the bed and the room is really clean. As soon as you enter the Lodge, it's pretty homey and native looking. Staff is extremely courteous. We were too tired to go buy food so we opted for room service. Cold burger, no condiments, wilted lettuce, and cold fries. Wings were too spicy. The cheapest bottle of wine was $32. We should've gone out and bought food, there were plenty of restaurants nearby. This was our mistake. Other than that, I loved this place (mostly for the bed and bedding).

This hotel looks new. The rooms are a great value. Easily the most comfortable bed I slept in during my recent trip to NM. The hotel is also unique, with native American touches combined with strange (in a good, fun sense) purple/pink/red lighting and a nice neon sign out front. There is also a well-kept pool and hot tub. I would recommend this hotel to anybody staying in Albuquerque.

Per another recent guest, our room was on the fifth floor, and it seemed like all the heat in the entire building went to that floor. I don't think the ample hallways were air conditioned at all, very stuffy. Our room was hot the entire time we were there, even after turning on the room a/c to its coldest. The a/c was also very noisy because of running so often. The restaurant was understaffed; the waiter had to juggle customers and deliver room service orders. I had to wait 5 minutes just to be seated, then another 10 minutes for coffee. The breakfast was hot and the potatoes particularly tasty. Overall, I didn't feel welcome there, and wouldn't return.

The Nativo Lodge has an impressive motif and decor other than that, it was about like three nights at the "Y". The king bed had absolutely no support...after second night, I had such a back ache I slept on the floor. First, the restaurant was going to "open soon" then, it wasn't then, it did but, "the waiter informed us that "they" were not serving in the dining area, only in the Bar seating area. Seated my wife an I directly in front of the live saxaphone-jazz musician's main speakers...still can't hear fire engines or cop cars! Ordered an "Irish and soda" - got a Bushmills mixed with COKE!!! Ordered a well done beef steak and a well done salmon steak. The beef was running blood in the center and the salmon belonged on a sushi bar. First and only time to try the "in-house restaurant". Advise to the unknowing traveler: Stay somewhere else.

We chose to stay on the top floor (5th) to make our children happy. This was great when hanging out on the balcony, but might have been the reason our room was too hot. It was early spring, yet we couldn't satisfactorily cool our room even on the coolest setting, so we were all too warm to sleep well. Also, the walls were paper thin, and our neighbors had a baby they kept awake past midnight for some reason, so that further compounded our restlessness. The room was very nice, though, and clean, and the beds were comforable enough. It was basically the quality of a Holiday Inn or Best Western. The best thing about the hotel is the ambiance. We enjoyed hanging out in the lobby amid Native American cultural objects. Also, the hotel is just down the street from Cliff's Amusement Park, and the surrounding and nearby neighborhoods are very safe. Best of all, just a few steps from the front doors is a Starbucks!

At 2 in the afternoon it was impossible to obtain a beer from the bar, or the restaurant, to be able to enjoy by the pool. We came back from a wedding at 10:55pm on Saturday night, the bar was already closing. We had to beg the bartender to get a glass of wine to take to our room. This is not an issue we've had to deal with at most hotels.

For instance, there is only one trash can in the room (under the desk) when there should also be on in the toilet. The restuarant had quick service when they were open, which did not include lunch or anytime on Sunday (?). The pool was enjoyable and the pool/spa hours were nicely extended (as is the noon check out time). It seems as though they are on the brink of becoming an above average hotel.

We had a party of 9 and all agreed the food was not good and the price was to high. There is a village in just down the street and is where we decided to eat breakfast from then on. We did extend our stay an additional day. Our room rate climbed more than 10 dollars. This is not unusual, however we wish as a courtesy they would have extended the same rate. Went to resturant and was given the room service menu. There use to be a breakfast buffet and there was none. The service was friendly but took a long timne to get the waitress to take our order.
