"Close to Washington Attractions"
The 2 room suite was roomy, allowing 5 adults adequate space to sleep comfortably, with some privacy. Having one bathroom was a drawback, however. The breakfast buffet had excellent choices, although the "cook to order" was extremely slow and the food really wasn't any better than the normal line. The line moved extremely slow, due to many stations […] running out of food. The evening social had a limited drink menu, and the snacks were minimal. The exercise room was clean, but limited in equipment for those used to a full work-out gym. The pool was small, and crowded early in the evening. The hotel location was withing a short walk from Georgetown shops, restaurants, and the waterfront. It was also close to several Metro stops. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great place for family"
Other than the elevator situation, my family loved staying here. We stayed on 2nd floor but frequently had to wait too long for elevator. I wish the stairs were open. Breakfast and drinks were a major perk in our 4-night stay. About 4 blocks from Metro stop. All else was more than fine.Genuine Expedia guest review
"1D in DC"
We stayed at the Embassy Suites while in DC to see 1 Direction at Nationals Park and were there for 5 nights in 2 suites. We were very pleased with the staff and hotel. The buffet is good and the nightly cocktail hours are enjoyable. I'd say it's convenient to the Metro but it is a good 5 blocks to either Foggy Bottom or Dupont. The pool and whirlpool […] are ok but nothing special. We had suites on the 7th floor which they say is the "premium floor" but I have no idea what makes it any different from the other floors? Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay there again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
First time in DC for the whole family. Kevin made it an easy trip for us! He always had someone waiting for us each morning to drive us to our destination for the day! The hotel us top of the line. We will return!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
not a bad hotel, but way too pricey for what you get, breakfast was nice, but room was large, but again not worth the rate they are charging in my opinion.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Daughters first time in DC"
This was my two daughters first trip to DC. We enjoyed the room and the managers reception. Came back tired after our first day and staff were not able to give directions to restaurants around the area. They suggested the hotel restaurant but not appealling. Spent almost two hours wandering around (based on their directions) and ended up buying snacks […] at Walgreens instead. Walgreens located down the street, definitely a plus for snacks and sodas. "Convenient location to major attractions"
I have stayed here before with no problems but, this time I had a few irritants but I will not let this discourage me from staying here again. First, our room was not ready until well after 4pm on our arrival. The next day when I was in the lobby the entering travelers were waiting for their rooms, some were close to 5pm if not later. One day in the […] room, we ordered an extra set of towels and the house keeper just walked into the room with them. We had a do not disturb sign on the door and it is possible that she knocked and we did not hear it but, this is no excuse to walk in. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Older Embassey Suites, but still a solid choice."
As always, Ebassey Suites is a solid choice for a family of 5. The hotel has some age on it, but relatively well maintained. Location is great and it's in a safe neighborhood.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Family hotel in the heart of DC."
This is our second time staying in this hotel and overall its a preferred location. From the inclusive and extensive breakfast to Koi fish pond to the arcade and pool set-up for family fun. The rooms could use some internal updates such as the sofas with outdated material and sunken in cushions likely from usage. The bed comfort was okay - pillows and […] mattresses could be firmer. The staff was all friendly and helpful. Make sure you get the room that is Park N Play to get a discount on the parking which is limited and for an extensive per night fee if you don't. I have looked for other Embassy Suites along our roadtrip to Florida because of our experience here. Some of the others were more updated in style and furniture but they all have great service and some cool offerings for kids. Would stay again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Nice Hotel in Washington DC-Good location"
This hotel is located about 4 long blocks from Foggy Bottom Metro and a nice walk to Georgetown and restaurants and shops in Dupont Circle and GWUniversity. We stayed for a long weekend and was not disappointed. The hotel is large and was crowded. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel had a free wine/beer/snack reception and […] a free breakfast. I did not try the cocktail hour but did eat the breakfast each day. The food was very good a step above similar hotels "free breakfast". I loved the suite style rooms which gave us plenty of room. The rooms were clean (bathroom did have some shower mold) and the beds were VERY comfortable. I did use the underground parking ($40 a night-ouch). In future I would not rent a car and use the metro. The area felt very safe walking both day and night. I would stay here again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
What a gorgeous hotel! You won't be disappointed. Beautiful waterfalls and koi fish ponds. Wonderful breakfast..there is a continental style buffet with fresh fruit, muffins, bagels, etc. and a cook to order line where they cook your eggs or omelet in front of you, and yet another buffet of hot selections of pancakes, sausage, homefries, etc. Juice, […] coffee, cappuccino, or tea also available. Then in the evening, they serve snacks and a free cocktail for the adults, or soda. They have the best doorman, Kevin, who is very helpful and loads of fun. The indoor pool is a bit small, but a great place to relax after a day of sightseeing, if you go late after the kids clear out. The pool is open till midnight. We went down at 11:30pm. Next time I'm in DC I will stay there again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

We were very happy with our stay at the Embassy Suites Washington DC. The breakfast was great! It was nice to unwind with the Happy Hour as well. The room was clean and was nice to come back to after a long day of sight seeing.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very lovely hotel."
We enjoyed our visit.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The Embassy Suites in DC is well located, just a few blocks to Dupont Circle, with its shops and restaurants. The hotel provides excellent value. The rooms are spacious and clean, they include a full breakfast buffet, and there's a pool. Parking is expensive, but that's DC for you.Genuine Expedia guest review
Stayed there with family. Free drinks in the evening, free breakfast in the morning, Kids liked the pool, hot tub and game room. Good place to stay with family or group. The suite was decent size and comfortable but décor was a little tired. The suite had a bathroom plus a small wet bar and a separate vanity with a sink so everyone was not crammed into […] the bathroom at one time. 3 blocks from the Metro was convenient. "Clean and good location"
Overall a nice hotel. Parking is limited and $40/day. Convenient to several restaurants. Located in between Metro lines so short walk to either red or blue lines. Busy hotel. Clean and friendly.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice hotel with hot buffet breakfast"
Our overall experience was great, but long lines for hot breakfast and the hotel is not so closed to a metro statio. The suite was very nice; great bed and pillows, nice TVs and plenty of room in the suite. We definitely recommend the hotel!Genuine Expedia guest review

"Great value for a big family"
We stayed for four nights in July 2014. We were lucky enough to get one of the premium suites on the 7th floor, with a free snack bar (highlight of my boys' trip!) The complimentary breakfast was good - we always had omelettes, my kids loved the pancakes. And we never felt it was too busy, and they never ran out of things as I've read in other reviews […] - so maybe they've improved their stock-keeping. We only went to the happy hour once, as we were busy the other evenings, but that was a nice touch, and the cocktails packed quite a punch. It was great to have coin-operated washer dryers on the 4th and 9th floors, and the concierge was happy to supply me with quarters! The ducted aircon was quiet, and we never heard other guests. The bellhop organised our transfers beautifully and the desk staff were always cheerful and helpful. My only quibbles (and these are minor) are the dust -(we all have allergies, and the carpets and curtains and bedspreads made us sneeze and develop sinusitis); and the beds, which are impossible to share if you are a light sleeper - any movement is felt by your bed companion. I must admit to being the original Princess and the Pea, so please don't think I didn't enjoy the hotel. Highly recommended. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Quiet hotel near BigB bus stop"
The best thing about Embassy Suites is the free full breakfast in the morning and happy hour between 5:30-7:30. I would recommend catching the BigB bus shuttle across the street at the Marriot and touring DC from the double decker bus. This hotel has a very secure parking garage in the basement of the hotel. I felt safe in this location.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Convenient and Cost Effective"
Great service, spacious, comfortable and clean. Staff were warm and friendly. My room was very comfortable, tons of space. 10 minutes walk from Metro which was very convenient. A bit pricey but I guess reasonable for Washington DC. Nice restaurant on site but plenty of options. Seems great for families because there were lots of them. The managers happy […] hour was well attended. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Good place, free breakfast, the room is big enough with two queen size beds, one sofa bed, additional crib, suitable for family. The only bad memory is the noise woke me up at one late night. The noise came from the neighborhood made loveGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Not as good as I experienced with the other Embassy suite located in different city. The hotel is old. The breakfast buffet was quite depressing. with long line and children running around. will not stay againGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Excellent service, quality and delivery of accommodations.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel staff was very kind and welcoming. I loved the managers reception in the evening which was a complimentary cocktail hour. Also, the breakfast buffet was great. The room was a tad bit cold and took quite a while to warm up. But overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We were first time visitors to the DC area, and found this hotel to be conveniently located to the things we wanted to see. The staff was very helpful in pointing us to restaurants and transportation options. Our room was very clean as was the rest of the hotel. The evening reception was a nice touch, especially after a day of sightseeing and walking. "Great breakfast and free pre-dinner reception"
Very comfortable and enjoyable, particularly the breakfast and the afternoon reception. I sat by the waterfalls and relaxed with free wi-fi while enjoying the included meals. "tired but family friendly"
the hotel could do with some sprucing-up but would be good for families. Breakfasts were nice and convenient. I happened to get a good rate but if I had arrived a day earlier the mid week rate was a poor dealGenuine Expedia guest review
Everything's fine about the hotel in terms of location and the rooms. The breakfast room in the atrium is a bit chaotic in terms of crowd control; the afternoon happy hour (or manager's reception) in the same space wasn't crowded when I was there, although the spare snacks on offer (chips, salsa, sliced celery, baby carrots) leave much to be desired, […] so much so that If you're elsewhere in DC in the late afternoon, you need not feel obliged to return. The atrium has some planted areas that add to its attractiveness; however, I did see a mouse in one of them during the happy hour, which was a bit disconcerting. That said, I would stay at the hotel again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Nice Hotel close to The White House"
I traveled with my family and my brother's family. We stayed in 2 rooms on the eighth floor. We liked our rooms, comfy, clean and spacious. The waterfalls are beautiful, there is a manager'special where you get free snacks and beer/wine. The buffet breakfast is a plus with a whole variety of hot dishes to choose from : saussage, bacon, scrambled eggs, […] and you can order your own ommeletts at the ommelett station. The only thing I would have liked fir my 9 y/o daughter is a pool. But since we stayed for one night this was not an issue. I woul definitely come back! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
