I came in late of the MARTA and was greeted by Eric. His positivity and freindly attitude was electric. I enjoyed the convenient location and comfortable rooms. I would definitely say all the staff were friendly and helpful. I will stay there again!

As always, EXCELLENT hotel! I love this place because the price is the best bargain in midtown, I've never had a bad experience, and you get so much more than what you pay for. The rooms are so comfortable and affordable. I will always stay here when staying in Midtown.

overall, good, but the hotel is definately in need of lots of repairs. the balconies are all peeling paint, the appliances (dishwasher, ovens, fridges) are all antiquated. It may not be the hotel's fault but the surrounding neighborhood isn't safe. Lets just say I overlooked an adult video store so my rom was lit up neon blue all night long. The staff were fantastic. So friendly and made us feel really welcome. The midtown location was fine and we were only a block from the MARTA. We booked in for 4 days but stayed an extra 2 because we loved Atlanta and the hotel. Really enjoyed the wine and complimentary food in the evenings, too.

Marriott Residence Inn Midtown/Historical is a wonderful place to stay in midtown Atlanta. The hotel is a converted apartment house built in the 1920's and used in the 1950's as a dormitory. Converted to a hotel, it has character and ambiance. The room we had was spacious and comfortable, with a small 4 burner stove, oven, microwave, refrigerator, sink […] and dishwasher. (Only missing item was an ice-maker. It was there, but not connected to water.) It had a large separate bedroom, a full bathroom with tub and shower. It has a dining room that could seat 6. There were two nice flat panel TVs, one in the living room, another in the bedroom. The sofa converts to a bed. And a balcony with a view of Midtown. The parking lot was convenient to get in and out, and at $19 per day, not overly expensive for the area. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, we had no complaints. The Peachtree NW and 11th location was easy to get to and from, and near the heart of Midtown Atlanta. Walkable to the Fox theater or the Woodruff Arts Center/High Museum complex. (About 5 - 6 blocks each) Breakfast was fairly standard for a Residence Inn, eggs, meat, waffles, cereals, breads and pastries. Monday through Thursday, happy hour beer and wine and a light dinner. You need more parking! It's too frustrating to feel like you can't get in your car and drive somewhere, because if you do you might lose your parking space and have to go out and move your car from the pay lot at 3:00 AM! But the hotel staff deal with this well...it's a problem because there just isn't space, and it's hard on them to have to deal with […] anger about it all the time. We stayed at this hotel to visit CNN center, coke world and Philips arena. Great location however the hotel was run down. Fridge gas insulation coming out of the door on the inside, the only door that worked was the room door. The closet was stuck shut and the same with the balcony door. I really enjoyed my stay at the Residence Inn. It is charming, clean, and convenient. The beds are probably the most comfortable I've ever slept in in a hotel. Eric, the receptionist, was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was also quite decent. I plan on staying here again when i return to Atlanta in November.

My hubby and I stayed here while visiting for a wedding. The hotel is very charming, reminiscent of an apartment building, moreso than a hotel. We had a GREAT room and the full kitchen is a plus. Hotel location is good. Maintenance of room not so much. We found a couple things on carpet (like a small piece of plastic wrapping in the bedroom and a bottle cap in the kitchen/living room) which indicated that room had not been properly vacuumed before we checked in. Also, after we checked in, we went back downstairs to familiarize ourselves with […] the hotel and facilities such as bathrooms, computer and lounging areas and dining room for breakfast the following morning. There we saw a huge rat walking on the counter. I alerted the person at the front desk who saw it with his own eyes. Unfortunately the rat disappeared through a hole behind a dispenser before they had a chance to catch it. A hotel rep reassured us later that they were dealing with the issue, having called a pest control company to take care of it. Read more

Great location! Hotel has a character, loved it! We enjoyed our stay, neighbourhood is very quiet, lots of places around to eat within walking distance! Beds are comfortable, if you're not a spoiled brat, you should like everything.

Great location, nice hotel. Staff was friendly, gave a cozy & safe feeling. My room had everything I needed. The only suggestion I have for the hotel is to increase the outside lighting for the parking area. It's convenient but a bit dark.
