Hotel was within walking distance to the beach but very soggy in the rain. Everything was wet. The Spa half worked and needed to ask where a working Ice Machine was.

The staff are exceptional. They are friendly, courteous, and helpful. The room accommodations are good, although the mattress was a bit too soft. Location is just off of PCH, so its easy to get to anywhere of interest. It is within walking distance of the Hermosa pier. First, you can't beat the location of this hotel to the beach for the price. Just a short drive or a long walk away. Second, the room was large and comfortable. It is an older motel, but well kept and clean. And to top it all off you could see the ocean from the room. You don't get that for this kind of price. Definitely recommend.

Quality Inn Hermosa Beach served our needs perfectly. Very convenient to the airport, yet far enough away. On the PCH (had room at back of hotel with view and no noise), easy access to the 405 and 10. Short drive to Redondo Beach, Manhattan Beach. Breakfast was all we needed (hard boiled eggs,bacon, muffins, small danish, toast, bagels, make-your-own waffles, juice, fruit). Ralph's supermarket and Starbucks are a very short walk away. Ralph's has a nice salad bar & deli. It also stocks all types of adult beverages. Easy to make up a quick dinner for the room or spapool patio.Very nice restaurants at the beach -- Hennessey's was our favorite (roof-top deck). Front desk employees are very friendly and ready to help. Breakfast is less than basic. Rooms have poor noise isolation. You can listen the conversation from another rooms, the water running through the pipes from somewhere, people in the laundry, etc. I asked to move to another room but this possibility wasn't no accepted by the hotel's person in […] charge. The hotel is a 2 star hotel with a nice size room. The couch was a bit old and fabric outdated. The staff was very helpful and nice. The breakfast was plentiful and good. Just needs a bit updating but bed was comfy, the shower and room was clean, and an overall good experience.

The room was nice. Two beds was plenty of room for 3 people. My friends and I were visiting after not having seen each other in over a year and so we were having some fun catching up and telling stories and what not. We were NOT having a party or getting crazy but we received TWO phone calls from the front desk saying that a neighboring room was complaining […] about our noise volume. I was very annoyed by the phone calls as it was just us couple girls. I had to completely turn off the TV (at 10 pm) and practically whisper after that to avoid a third phone call which would result in a police visit. When I complained to the front desk the next morning about the pestering phone calls they told me they HAD to act when a room complained about another. The front desk attendant from the night before wrote in the complaint log that after the second phone call she physically went up to my room to listen for excessive noice but heard none. Wow.. then why the annoying phone call? I told the front desk that it was obnoxious that I had to whisper in a hotel room because of a guest who was hypersensetive to noise. The hotel did not compensate me for the inconvenience. Read more

Room was clean, but had a bad odor. Trouble with internet connection. Felt unsafe in the elevator as it jerked and ground while moving. Great free breakfast. Very poor water pressure (trickling out) while taking a shower. Overall it seemed as if the hotel needed a major overhaul, but they were holding out.

Have stayed at this hotel many times. I like that it is convenient to the beach but doesn't cost as much. The rooms are always clean and pretty roomy. Staff are friendly. Continental breakfast could be better but there are plenty of places to eat within walking distance and it is close to grocery stores. Fridges don't cool down as quickly as would like […] but do eventually. They should turn them down before check in. Like having a jacuzzi on site. Overall very satisfied. Read more

I spent a lot of time looking for a decent hotel around the beach cities area. Most were 2-2.5 stars, and most had a few scary reviews. The Quality Inn was a pleasant surprise. The room was very large and very clean. There is a small fridge, which is nice. The sound proofing was quite good, we were only on the second floor, but could not hear the traffic, […] or the rowdy people in the breakfast room right across the hall. It is a little hike to the beach, uphill on the way back, but that is the same for all the hotels by the PCH. The included breakfast in nice, fresh pastries and fruit, cereal, waffle maker, etc. A good assortment and staff constantly replenishing supplies. Read more

The rooms were clean and well kept with comfortable pillows and beds. Hotel staff was very helpful and accommodating; they upgraded us to a bigger room for free when we checked in! The Jacuzzi/hot-tub was really great too, awesome place to relax especially when got down to around 55-60 degrees at night. The continental breakfast was really nice too […] with many options. Within walking distance to the beach and promenade. Also, it was right next to a grocery store which made it super easy to get snacks and drinks whenever we wanted. It was gread to stay there. Surprisingly, there is a jet bath (jacuzzi) in the room. I enjoy the "hotspring" everyday. The room is very wide. It is one of LA's cul-de-sac place escaping from the big town. The beach walk cute shops, cafe, restaurants and bars are nice and we enjoyed breakfast on the beachside cafe. Everything about this hotel seemed fine. The location was noisy, but it was close to where we needed to go. Check-in was easy. The room seemed nice and clean; until we went to sleep. The last occupant had obviously vomited in the room, and the floor near the bedside was wet. The smell was obnoxious. We thought we could open a window and make it better, […] but it didn't seem to help. We thought about changing rooms in the middle of the night, but knew we were getting up and out early so tried to bear with the smell. When we went to check out in the morning, we explained to the front desk person that they should not put another guest in the room until the room was cleaned again. We got a half-hearted apology and an okay about cleaning the room. Other than the smell, which was hopefully only in our room, the hotel seem fine. - We could also have received a more apologetic response from the front desk. Read more

The sign as you arrive says: "Spacious rooms, free wifi, free parking, free breakfast". It does exactly what it says. really can't complain - this is a great hotel for the beach cities. Okay, it's fair to say it's not a super plush hotel but it is clean and everything works as it should. It's truly excellent value. It's an easy walk down into Hermosa […] for plenty of restaurants and bars. I've stayed here before and have just found out you can even get into LAX or Downtown LA by public transport! A bus stops almost right outside the hotel and will get you to LAX for $1.50. So, all in all there's lots of reasons to stay. Read more
