The pool area is very enjoyable! I was not happy about waiting for our room, but everything else was great. We had arrived at 2:30 but the room still was not ready by the 4:00 check-in time. At the Grand Cypress in Orlando you will pay a resort fee, but you get a lot of amenities included for the fee. If anything, I think $5.00 would be more appropriate. Hotel is situated in a big complex of condos, near the road, and about a 10 minute walk to the beach which was very difficult to find on our first attempt . Signage to the beachside pool and tiki hut was nonexistent. Two pools but we could not find available chaises any of our 3 days there. They allow people to save chairs and many would be empty with […] just a towel on them. Chairs on the beach had to be rented. I was disgusted there was a $15/day resort fee for absolutely nothing . Rooms and beds were fine but that's to be expected for a pricey Marriott . Food at poolside was average. Golf course on site is very short (mostly par 3s) and in fair but not great condition. The room was very nice and comfortable but pool and bar area closed early. Ordered pizza from room service that was lukewarm at best and tasted horrible. Microwave pizza from gas station would have been better. Since we got there after dark, we didn't know where to find food and pizza was only thing available after 10pm. We've stayed here very pleasantly for several years running, but this was the first time in January. It was right after the holidays and the hotel was nearly deserted. The hotel took that as an opportunity to do some necessary maintenance, so the elevators were down for a day. We had no notice of this, which was mildly annoying. The hotel was lovely. It was only afterwards that this hotel has become a pain. I slept there for one night for a friend's wedding. When I got my bill in the morning, they had charged me $10 for parking. Apparently when you book on hotels.com, they don't tell you about that charge. They also don't tell you that when you check in. They were nice though […] and removed that charge. However, when I got home and was checking my credit card, there was a $50 from them. Now I need to dispute the charge. I don't know why it is on there, but talk about a pain in the butt. So if you stay here, beware of extra charges. Read more

we have stayed t this hotel twice in less than 6 months and have never been more pleased ! the staff in every department is tremendous. both the resorts and beach club is outstanding . the beach club is quieter without as many children , so it is a must for couples . cant wait to go back ! we were allowed to stay at pool after checkout .
