After we got settle there was a lot of noise by the pool next time I'm gonna ask for a room closer to the front away from the pool. Overall the room was nice and had lots of room.

The room was nice and comfortable.Exceeded expectations. Only problems/concerns would be that the room did not get cool from A/C being on. Also we requested new face towels early Sunday morning and never received them. Other than that our stay was comfortable.

Nice to have a kitchen to save on meals. Room was clean and tidy though a bit cramped. Looked to be recently refurbished though not to a high standard. Only complaint was a diesel bus idling it's engine in the parking lot behind our room most of the night which made the bed vibrate. Not the hotel's fault. Reasonably priced and acceptable. The reviews I read all said excellent/outstanding, etc., however I wouldn't say it was any better than any of the other hotels we stayed on while traveling. everything was clean and in working order but I wouldn't go so far as excellent.

Let me start by saying the property is nice for the most part- clean, private, kitchen equipment was available. When inquiring about location of the room the staff in the morning At the front desk was extremely rude kept emphasizing "no parties". On check in my keys didn't work went back to the front desk And they made me sign a no party policy form […] and threatened to kick me out. Still I was confused didn't know that a family of four was A party. The clerk stated she was told by A staff member/ cleaning girl that I was going to have a party And didn't care what they said. This was hilarious since we were an over an hour away from home. If the cleaning girl would have listened to the whole conversation she could have been fully aware of what was said date and time. MYbe she should stick to her job. The Afternoon front desk clerk was fantastic - kudos to her. Sorry she has to work with such negative people. Read more

This place could not have been better. I don't generally fill out surveys but these people deserve praise. Everything was superb! I even had a get well card with no stamp on it & asked the girl at the desk if she sold stamps. She took the envelope from me & said she would mail it along with her other mail. Plenty of space in the rooms and a reasonable buffet breakfast. Rooms are looking a little worn however. Last stayed here on a trip about 3 years ago, and sine then, the carpets look worn and the bathroom needs a good update. Not terrible, for the price, but had remembered it looking better.

Easy enough to find due to the low sign next to the road. However, the hotel web site map doesn't take you to the hotel. It stops in the middle of a nearby busy intersection! Beware. The front desk clerk was very courteous and helpful in directing me to the room and where to park, instructing me on how best to get to the breakfast room, and offering […] help on any future requests I may have. The hotel is divided up into separate buildings, which leaves individual walkways in order to get to your room. These walkways are narrow, lined with large bushes/trees, and dimly lit. This is a bit creepy and leaves one feeling quite vulnerable to a would-be attacker.This situation is the strongest memory I have for this hotel. The room looked clean. The bathroom looked clean but there were cracks all over the linoleum around the bathtub area. I the kitchen, the cabinets look old, outdated, and unlined inside, which seems unclean. Everywhere, the interior is in need of a slight update. The bed is very firm but not worn out. Water drained from the sinks and toilet at a molasses-like pace. The breakfast was a fail. The waffles were OK (you make them yourself, per usual for these chain hotels) and the fruit was barely fresh and the eggs were the same tasteless type found at most hotels. The little sausage patties were awful. Too greasy, overcooked and tough. The food preparation area was postage-stamp sized. For the money paid, the hotel is acceptable but minor improvements would go far. Read more

We booked a king suite. The frig. didn't work and the first day they did not clean our room. We had to walk through the snow to get towels at 10 PM. They said "they called the room and no one answered so they did not give service"? . What kind of response was that? They upgraded us to a two bedroom suite. It was nice but the second day they forgot the […] coffee bags even though we had previously asked for coffee bags. The final day I went to the common room to print boarding passes. The printer was broken even though they had told me prior to the trip the printer would be fixed. The breakfast was simple but everything was a little cold. It was perfect for a quiet get a way. The room was great. I asked to be placed somewhere away from people and I was. Hotel is across the street from shopping and just minutes away from numerous places to eat. I didn't have to travel more than 2 miles to go anywhere I wanted to. I will certainly go back.

This was my second stay at the Hawthorn suites in Toledo. The night I stayed it was very cold and rather frigid outside. However, So was my room. The heater was broken and would not work, so I called the front desk and the staff was eager to help and moved me to another room in the same building (about 8 rooms per building that were converted from apartments […] or apartment style). Apparently the entire building had heating issues, and it was as if nobody had stayed in said building, or had a heater on in days it was so cold. I had to turn on the oven to hi and allow the cool air from the heater to circulate for several hours before it was habitable. My other stay was much nicer but during the summer time. I may give them another try because my other stay was quite nice, but I'm rather on the fence about it at this time. Read more

We were missing the box of facial tissues in our spacious room. Otherwise this was a great experience--SUPERB is a good word for it. Everything about it (including the breakfast) was great! We were highly pleased with everything at the Hawthorn Suites in Toledo (with the very minor exception of the missing box of tissues).

Hotel wasn't bad but the maid service was terrible. We stayed 2 nights and between the 1st & 2nd night the maid service didn't show up . Didn't clean the bathroom, make the bed, dump the trash, no clean towels. We had to call down after we came back just to get clean towels. Would give there maid service an "F".

There were several things wrong with my room. We had two very small pillows for a king size bed. The extra pillow was bigger than the ones on the bed! When I requested extra pillows they told me they could only bring 1. There was a cigarette burn on the sham at the bottom of the bed. The shower curtain rod was pulling away from the wall and made the […] curtain droop downward. There were open/used containers of shampoo and dish soap in the room. That's just being cheap to not replace these items for new guests. There were cobwebs in the light fixtures. The wallpaper in the kitchen was peeling away from the wall. The wooden stairwell and landing was rotted. On the exterior of the building, the stucco was peeling away. There were obvious water stains and damage. This room did not "feel" or look clean and the property did not appear to be well kept. I took several pictures and plan to share with the better business bureau. Read more

The hotel was run down from the last time we stayed at this location. The housekeeping services were inconsistent. They left dirty cleaning rags behind and did not clean thoroughly. Very noisy from housekeeping staff accumulating around the area. The linens were limited during the winter months, I had to ask for a blanket for the bed, very cold in the […] room. Don't be fooled by the exterior of this hotel, as it could use a little bit of love...the rooms are fantastic. My family used to stay in this hotel when visiting me, so I booked the room when I returned to my old hometown. The bathroom had been updated nicely, the room painted and very comfortable. Room was poorly designed. Only offer a king size bed but they had a pull out sofa. Only problem was the sofa was in the middle of an area that was ~ 8 - 10 ft wide. Just off the highway, with a nicely laid out configuration, near restaurants and shops, this was a great location. Staff was very nice and the room had everything that would make a long stay comfortable. The room was immaculate but needs some updating. Wi-fi was free but really slow. We'd stay again.
