The Dadeland Marriott has seen better days, and is in need of a renovation. Our room appeared clean, but because of the dated carpeting and furniture, it felt less so. Additionally, whether it be "old hotel smell" or something else, the room we stayed in had a definite odor. Additionally, be advised that the hotel charges a $19/day valet fee. The carpet was bare in spots, the room smelled of Lysol and the bed was in need of replacement. I might tolerate this in a motel 6 but note for over $300 a night at a Marriott. The staff was friendly, polite and helpful. It was the property that needed an upgrade.

Even though the hotel offers a free shuttle from the airport, that is dependent on the time your flight arrives, so be careful. The last shuttle had already left for the day and we had to take a cab. The hotel is NOT close to the airport... Although the hotel itself is pretty nice, the floor we were staying on smelled had a strong curry smell that permeated […] our room as well as the hallways. There must have been an event going on at the the hotel as well because we were kept awake all night by loud guests in both the hallways and the rooms next door. The walls were really really thin (not muffled sounds, but we could have joined in the conversation). Overall it was ok. We had booked for 2 rooms with 2 double beds. But we had to change the rooms 3 times to get to it. Extra towels were asked twice and was promised that they will keep every day. But that never happened. I ended up getting the towels from pool area. The coffee kit was not refilled properly.

This is a great hotel if you need to be somewhere South of Miami or Kendall - but it has none of the glamor or beaches. Functional and comfortable, decent pool, servicable restaurant, and great staff.

I met the grand openning for the metro to the city from the airport.The final destination from the airport to the city is this hotel.You don't have to rent a car for a short stay.

Hotel was as expected for a 4star Marriott Breakfast bar was fine but room service was terrible. Burnt, dry tasteless food delivered on two occasions. Found it better to eat out.

My kids and I were in Miami for a wedding and wanted to stay close to where we had to go. The hotel was clean and the staff was very attentive to the kids needs. Very pleasant stay. You'll love it

It was easy to get to from the main road. Once there, they got me checked into my room within minutes. I felt the room was very comfortable and clean. It was nice to find out after the fact there's a Publix and Metro Station within walking distance. Overall, it was a good experience.

A great hotel in most aspects. Perfect for us in a recent extended weekend stay. What does belong in the negative column is the missing bellman - both at check in and at check out. Probably too few during some peak periods. But other than that - the hotel is great and I can warmly recommend it.

I live in Miami, but the wife and I wanted a date night out. This hotel was a very good value located in the right spot for our plans. Service was excellent.
