This was our second time staying here. Both experiences have been pleasant. The airport shuttle has always been prompt and the staff very helpful and friendly. Upon arrival, hotel staff sat and chatted amongst themselves. They waited on me as if an afterthought, and provided little or no help concerning room upgrades or other property information. Attempted to use their business center to print out some boarding passes, and the equipment (printer) needed a new cartridge. You are correct the business center ink cartridge ran out and we did not have access to the new one as it is locked up in my General Managers office, and this happened on Sunday evening and he is not in till Monday. I do remember you coming and kindly letting us know of the situation and I apologized to you personally and offered to print them for you myself and you declined me twice. I do apologize however if their was a miscommunication between us, our intention is never to make you feel unappreciated or as if you were an afterthought. We hope you choose to stay with us again so we can provide you with a much better experience.

Really, the price was incredibly good for the comfort, service and location. The staff gave us ideas of places to eat, the room was spotless and the beds felt new. Booked this looking for a basic but clean/comfortable place to stay before an early morning flight. Property was in pretty bad shape, hallway carpets in particular. "Not Family Friendly"
The front desk staff were nice. There are 4-5 different buildings at this hotel. We were a group of 4 myself my 2 daughters and a friend of one of my daughters. We were in town for a dance competition at the Holiday Inn. Our room was in the building farthest back on the property. It seemed a little unsafe and I was uncomfortable being so far away from […] the front of the hotel. We ended up needing to go to a restaurant off premsis as we found out that the hotel's restaurant is not open after a certain time ( we were there around 7) the only portion opened was the bar. Someone next door started being extremely loud around 9:45 and continued until after 11:30. I should have paid the extra $20 and stayed at the Holiday Inn. As for the safety of being in the second building which we only have 2 buildings, we do have all of our drivings monitoring the parking lot and buildings 24hrs a day. I didn't have much expectations going to this hotel, but I was glad for staying here. The front desk was helpful to call for tour pick ups. The shuttle service was comfortable enough for me to use each day going to and from the PDX. Although cleaning service was not very through and the bed was too soft, still for the price it was good. Liked that the shuttle took us to the light rail if we wanted to catch the train downtown.. and unexpected plus.The brand of coffee provided was very good, and it was nice to have the pot in the room. Although the landing runway is only a couple hundred yards from the hotel, surprisingly I didn't hear the planes landing. The front desk did however give me a room next to and in the vicinity of a group of 20 somethings that came back to the hotel at 1:20 in the AM partying, laughing, slamming doors, that of course woke me. "The best kept secret at Portland Airport."
Stayed twice. in five days. Shuttle was prompt on both pickups at PDX. second was around midnight. Shuttle drivers were great. Hotel staff was friendly and professional always. There small but well stocked mini store had everything I needed as if I were the person ordering the inventory. I had a late afternoon flight on the day of check out and was offered luggage storage and the use of there very comfortable lobby/ living room to read in. It truly was the smoothest part of my trip.
