This hotel did not meet our expectations. The hotel is fairly old, the rooms were small, and the breakfast meager. But what concerned us most were the shady characters who were staying there and the lack of security. Rooms are accessible from the parking lot, and my wife did not feel safe.

I was very impressed with your front desk staff, very nice, made sure I had my rollaway bed that I requested for the one night. Very nice young man when we checked in, gave me restaurant list, map quested directions for me to restaurant we wanted to go to in the morning. Overall very impressed with this hotel, first stay. Had two rooms, both reeked of cigarette smoke (burns in the carpet, too). The beds were awful - completely worn out. The towels were stained and about 3 years past their prime. The "breakfast" was a complete joke, even by cheap motel standards. Seriously, their hard boiled eggs were so overboiled they were completely GREEN! Nasty!! Like most travelers take an early flight out, rents car, and would like to check in to hotel. Of course its not 3pm yet. Well, on a weekend getaway I'm not going to stick around til halfway through our first day just so we can check in....Besides, our room has been paid for.... We check in at around 10pm and only to find out that our room has been given […] out to someone else and gave us a smoking room. We've been up since 3am and did a lot on this first day. So, after a little effort in my displeasure I take the room because all hotels are fully booked. The smell of a burnt house slaps you on your face as you walk in to the room. Even the towels smells like smoke! I can't imagine why people would want to have this nasty habit? Anyway, the front desk was very apologetic and very nice. Breakfast was adequate. The air conditioner froze us out, otherwise it was a great room for an overnight out of the room most of the time. Bed very comfortable, flat screen tv nice. Nice to have breakfast included. we used the fridge in the room but didn't need the microwave, but nice to know it was there. Bring an alarm clock, don't count on that wake up call.

Horrible. I was guaranteed a smoking room. Upon arrival there were no smoking rooms available. Next day I was moved to a smoking room. No ash trays, room had bugs, electrical outlet didn't work. Had to request decaf and regular coffee every day. Wrong check out date. Would not recommend this hotel.

First of all, the front man gave me a non- smoking king room which next to the elevator, window covered by stairs was too dark. I asked him, he quickly changed my room was very bright. It was so nice. The hotel was very clean, quiet. Ihad a nice stay.

This hotel was terrible! Many guests had pets in and around their rooms, making noise late in the night and early in the morning. I had to move rooms twice. In the first room I was given, the air-conditioner/heating unit was disassembled, and in the second room were a pair of flip flops next to the bed, which someone had obviously been sitting on. Beautiful area and beautiful grounds...close to shopping, restaurants, Cal Lutheran, and the Reagan Library. We stayed 2 nights to attend a wedding. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The continental breakfast was very good and well supplied. Rooms were very clean and comfortable.
