"What an outstanding hotel!"
This place is fantastic! The rooms are awesome, large and plush. The whole hotel is elegantly decorated like it just came out of the gilded age. The rooftop pool is great to soak away the heat from the NOLA summers. The kids particularly liked the 10pm hot chocolate and PB&J sandwich buffet in the lobby. "A real treasure!"
This place is a real treasure! We live across the lake and have always wanted to stay there. It is as beautiful in as it is out. The rooms were lovely and comfortable, as was the bed. When we returned from an evening out, we found the delightful peanut butter and jelly sandwich tradition to enjoy from 10-11 every night - what fun! "Great stay. Beautiful hotel. Really crowded."
We had a great getaway weekend. The hotel is beautiful. The service was extremely polite and on top of everything. The hotel was extremely crowded tho. The only real issue was, one of the two elevators was down for both days we stayed. At one point there was about 50 people walking up the stairs because the one elevator was not only busy but extremely […] slow. 9 flights of stairs Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
My stay was by far, the best I've had in hotel stays. I really wish other hotels would copy Le Pavillion. The decor was an added bonus and in line with the concierge service. They were very informative of resurants, coffee houses and what to see and do. A wonderful place to stay. There is a parking fee of $39/night. "Downtown New Orleans"
The hotel has a beautiful lobby, but the signs of age are showing in the hallways and rooms. The room we were in was a bit small and crowded, but the ambiance is very nice. The bed was soft and comfy with nice sheets and pillows. The pool and jacuzzi on the roof was fun and temperatures were nice. Loved the lounging areas and the cabanas! awesome and […] not crowded at all. The hotel has a late night tradition of hot chocolate and peanut butter sandwich, nice touch! "Classy New Orleans Hotel"
This hotel was great! It was easy to get to from the interstate and in walking distance of Bourbon Street. The decor, rooms and staff are FIRST CLASS! The only reason it didn't get a perfect score was because it only has two elevators and one was down. So it took FOREVER to get to and from you room, or the pool (which is located on the top floor). We […] ended up taking the stairs half the time. (3rd floor to 8th floor) Also, when I checked in at like 3:07pm (check in at 3pm) they only had one room that was clean and ready for check in! I wanted a room with a bay window, and I would have had to wait an hour and a half before one was available. We would have waited, but we were all tired and just wanted to nap before dinner. They ended up giving us a credit for the inconvenience, which was awesome! The pool is VERY small, but the area is beautiful. The view is also amazing. Not a lot of chairs poolside, so go early if you're looking to sit. Check out was super easy. I would definitely go again, when the elevator gets fixed. Lol Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"The place to stay"
I loved my stay at this hotel. We were scheduled to check-in at 3pm and arrived at 12:30 and our room was ready so we were able to check in early. The staff was so helpful and friendly. They helped us with finding local restaurants and activities. The only con about this hotel is that there was only one working elevator the whole weekend. We stayed […] in the fourth floor and the pool was on the roof six flights up. The pool was beautiful but getting there was a choir. But overall the stay was amazing. "Great choice for stay in NOLA"
The hotel staff was unbelievable. They came to our room at least 3 times during the day to make sure we always had a full supply of clean towels, that the room was orderly and that any trash was collected. The hotel is within a 10 minute walk of the French Quarter and some of the finer restaurants in the business district. We would definitely stay there […] again. "One of the best hotels in NOLA"
We stayed here because we got a bargain rate during a Hotels.com 24-hour sale. Rates like the one we got don't come along often for a hotel of this caliber so we jumped on it. The hotel reminds you of an old-world European style hotel that makes you feel as if you've been transported out of the US. Staff from the front door to the front desk is courteous […] and attentive to every need. We chose to park our car overnight which was super easy. Check in was quick and when we arrived to our room, wow. It is decorated luxuriously that we almost didn't want to leave. Hotel is in great proximity to fabulous restaurants, entertainment venues, the French Quarter and even Superdome and Smoothie King arena. Had we not eaten dinner so late, we would have gladly partaken in the peanut butter and jelly sandwiches placed out in the lobby from 10-11 pm, along with milk and hot chocolate. If you can afford to stay, why stay anywhere else. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Elegant and Stately Hotel"
I was immediately overwhelmed by the attentiveness of the staff as soon as I pulled into the valet parking area of La Pavillon in New Orleans, Louisiana. Upon passing through the lobby to the elevator, I peeped into the bar and restaurant area and was equally impressed by the old world charm of this magnificent hotel. The room was well-appointed and […] meticulously clean. There was a pool on the roof of the hotel and an impressive view of downtown New Orleans. I will definitely be staying in the future. the hotel was beautiful except there was work with ladders and other obstacles in lobby. one elevator working. the service excellent . the actual comfort of room great except the one thing that ruined our anniversary trip was that the room service 2-3 rooms down. all night could hear the rolling of carts are the elevator . our room was next to elevator. […] the food was very good in the bar. but bar way understaffed people waited while bartender left area to attended to 2 intoxicated customers wanting to entertain their wants while other guest became irritated and left, The peanut butter and hot chocolate a must. the parking way over priced $39.95 plus $5,00 tax and $5.00 tip took away from the good bargain getaway for someone that lives nearby for our 25 year anniversary. iconic hotel its terrible that in slow months does not cater more to locals . "A good choice for conference and leisure"
Got a good deal on the rate as this was an overflow hotel for a conference near the Superdome. Staff were friendly and helpful, and prompt with service. Concierges were efficient . Hotel is a bit run-down (but 100+ years old, so you can't be too surprised at that). Quiet so long as you're at the back of the property, the front is on Poydras and there's […] a LOT of loud traffic out there. Easy walk to French Quarter, Superdome, riverfront and streetcar lines. "Lovely, Antique-est, and Baroque hotel!!!"
Our stay was lovely and comforting surprise! My husband and I just got married and were on our Mini-Moon road trip. We arrived to the hotel quite late, almost 1am. We informed the front desk of arrival prior and when we arrived to the hotel there was valet and the front desk staff was wonderfully friendly, wish I could remember the name of the staff […] member. We had mentioned to him that we were newlyweds and when we headed to the bar/lounge, he surprisingly bought my husband and I a glass of champagne!! That was so wonderfully nice and a treat!!! We were also informed of the rooftop pool and had bathrobes wating for us in our room. We were also were able to order room service 1am in the morning since we had not eaten dinner at all. AND let me tell you, the king bed was super duper comfy! We melted just laying there and didn't even had the energy to head to that rooftop pool!! It was in downtown, close to all the sites. However, one minor thing was the bath tub drain did not really drain and was clogged, other than that I would have given this hotel 5 for everything!!! We will definitely come back again and try that rooftop pool! I highly suggest others to stay at this lovely hotel, it will be a stay well paid for! :) Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Charming, though musty"
Great staff, decent location (central business district - few blocks from Canal and Bourbon), comfortable, old-French decor. Unfortunately had to air out our clothes from the musty odors in the room. Hallways were fine, but they should probably recarpet and/or repaint - few other ways to be fully rid of the smell that was like old, wet shoes. Tip: go […] to Mother's for breakfast (24/7), but go for the food and experience, not so much for the service. PB&J sandwiches were a nice touch Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"not overly excited"
The lobby is gorgeous! But that is where the wow-ness ends. Really not worth the money. Rooms outdated and bathroom was very disappointing. Customer service was great and love the personal service, but much more can be done to preserve the uniqueness of the hotel and still update and clean it better. There was hair in the bathroom, the robes need to […] be replaced or at the very least, bleached, and the air conditioner vents need to be cleaned. Overall, it does not live up to its name and lobby appearance. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Nice Hotel not far From French Quarter"
Beautiful lobby and a hint of allure because of its legendary hauntings. Fortunately we didn't meet any spirits during our stay. The rooms are small but adequate. "Memorable Memorial Day Weekend"
We had a lovely holiday weekend stay at Le Pavillon Hotel. The staff were all friendly, professional, and helpful (housekeeping, front desk, concierge, etc). We had the breakfast buffet with omelettes cooked to order from a large array of options--crabmeat, spinach, mushrooms, […] the works! "Beautiful historic hotel with exceptional staff."
This is a wonderful historic hotel . The staff can not be beat no matter where you go. You feel welcomed from the minute you pull in until the very minute you leave. We travel a lot and you get use to 1-2 of the staff being polite. Not here. They take pride in there jobs and it shows . Would like to give an extra thank you to the valets and bell hops. […] You are truly exceptional. The beds are like sleeping on a cloud and the snack of p&j sandwiches and milk at 10 pm every night was a wonderful treat. "Tiny, dirty pool"
The hotel is old but elegant. The main complain I have is the pool area. It is very small and crowded, no enough room for sitting around and relaxing. Also since there is only one pool (very small) it is crowded with children. Also, some of the "guest" were bathing in their underwear only and smoking inside the pool, the hotel staff didn't seem to care […] about proper dress codes and manners of the guest. Not very likely to come back. Overpriced from my experience. I stayed the next day at another corporative for cheaper and with a much better experience. "We loved this hotel"
We loved everything about this hotel. Located in walking distance to the French quarter, and it was only blocks away from a street car and bus stop to bring you to other parts of town. It had an old-fashioned French feel to it (originally threw us off), but the hotel was modern/updated on everything that mattered - most comfortable beds, nice gym, new […] TVs, etc. It was the little things that made the experience really stand out - restocked toiletries every day, friendly staff, snacks at night (pb&j and hot chocolate - we didn't even eat but it was a really nice gesture), let us have a late checkout (of 2:30 pm), pull down service, etc. Even though I wouldn't think twice about some of these things, it's a nice touch when provided. We would absolutely stay here again! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great as usual"
Have never had a bad experience staying here. The staff is great and the valet parking is on site and 25 hour attendant where most hotels in New Orleans are not. There is a lot of construction in the area right now but it wasn't much of a problem.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
