If you have heavy luggage there are marble staurs to enter the hotel! Hotel is a walk of 15 minutes to sites, walking to plaza mayor is at least 1.45 hours. Taxis are c,ran from the hotel but most overcharge. So this hotel, while in a clean safe neighborhood is a a good walk from everything, but quiet and very clean. The food room device was excellent, […] on time and delicious but pricey. The bedspread is thin so if you get cold there are no other blankets but the climate control is very good. The windows open a bit for ventilation. The room did not small and the linen was very clean. The showers were Fabulous, no bath. The Internet WiFi is troublesome, it kicks you out in about an hour. No real breakfast, the bar is nil- no atmosphere or real dining in the hotel. The staff is incredibly friendly and on time, professional. Very helpful to me. There is no laundry but a service charge fir taking your clothes out. It's a great hotel just expect to walk everywhere or taxi. Read more

After having stayed at hotels in the same price range and same "4" star rating across andalucia and elsewhere in madrid, I've come to the conclusion that these are not 4 star hotels. They are 3 star hotels. They all have the same bare essentials in a clean european style. The hotels themselves lack personality and they are often placed in generically […] nice neighborhoods in their given cities. The staff all dress somewhat similar and in the end.. You could've been anywhere. What is my biggest complaint? They all bought their furnishings from the same uncomfortable dealer. Hard beds, stiff sheets, plain ikea furniture..Occasionally the walls are decorated and there might be a little gym. Stay at these 4-star chain hotels if you want to play it safe.. but next time I might take a chance or pay more for actual 'luxury'. Read more

Excellent option if you want to stay a little out of the city center however is 10 minutes walk from Calle de Alcala. The rooms are fairly new as well as the bathrooms. The neighborhood of Salamanca is considered one of the best in the city and has plenty of options where to eat around. Room service is very good though options are somewhat limited. […] Breakfast were good as well and we were offered a special plan of 15 Euro a day. The staff was always pleasant and willing to help. I was truly delighted in general...just one downer, internet is overly expensive (10+ Euro/24hrs) and business center is limited to 1 computer and only 15 minutes free. This option should be made more appealing to guests and will probably get more of this service. I will stay again if I go to Madrid. Read more

Went to this hotel for a 5 days trip in Madrid. Well connected with metro toward airport and center of the city. Nice personnel. Modern and functional furniture. We didn't experience the breakfast and bar in the hotel. A bit annoying the limited time free wifi connection in the lobby. No free wifi or wired connection in the rooms. What a hidden jewel! I had a very quiet room with all of the modern amenities. The price was GREAT. The staff was more than kind and helpful. The Metro was just a couple blocks away. Don't miss this one if you visit Madrid.

Room was clean, and adequate but nothing special. Mattresses were a bit hard, but that seems to be the standard in Spain. TV was large flatscreen, which was a nice addition. Shower was odd, in that you had to step up into it, and water easily leaked under the glass door, onto the floor below. Front Desk personnel were helpful, even allowed me to store excess items that were not needed for a 1 week trip to Canary Islands. Overall, the location is extremely convenient, in an upscale neighborhood of Madrid (Salamanca), which has numerous shops, restaurants, cafe's, etc. Transportation to/from the airport is easy, as "Avenida de America" station is 2 blocks away. There you can catch the Metro or direct bus (#200) to the airport. Hotel is half-way between the airport and city center. Metro makes it easy to get anywhere in Madrid. Got a good price on Expedia, and would stay again if the price was right. Read more

Cannot praise this hotel enough, location is perfect for accessing everywhere, the room is exactly like the pictures, staff are incredibly polite and pleasant, even excusing my average Spanish and just a generally lovely experience will definitely be returning next year

if you are a turist without laptop - take it - very nice hotel/team in very good place.. if you are on business trip - go around this hotel. they seem to live in old stone age. Internet access for free - only in the lobby. otherwise you have to pay around 70€ per week. and NO VPN, which means - you have no possibility to work from hotel.

Excellent hotel and amazing value. Looks great, rooms are modern, clean and spacious. Rooms cleaned daily and complimentary shower gel, soap etc re-stocked. King size bed was very nice, can't honestly find any fault with hotel. Read some people saying location was poor, this is nonsense.. The entrance is about 200 yds from a metro station that gets […] you into Sol square (centre of town) with just 1 switchover.. If your out late (after 2am metro shuts) then a taxi from the centre of town was €8.. hardly the end of the world! All in all can't fault this hotel, would certainly stay again no question! The room was very clean and modern, bathroom as well. The stuff on reception was not very welcomig, also tried to convince me that my booking doesn't include breakfast, even it was. So it took them a while to check the system and sort out why it doesn't mach with my reservation. Second negative point, is that there is no simple iron available in whole […] hotel, so if you arrived Sunday evening, and you have meeting Monday morning at 9am, you won't be able to get laundry service, neither iron your shirts yourself. Stayed here from 28 April to 3 May 2013.Wonderful double rooms, much larger than we had expected! Modern decor and a great bathroom. The shower was wonderful, and I have to admit I showered longer than usual because of that. Quiet in spite of the traffic. I definitely recommend this hotel and would stay there again. (Wish I could have stayed longer!) […] There were lots of restaurants nearby where one could eat tapas, etc. We thought breakfast at the hotel was expensive, so we ate there only once, but there was quite a lot to choose from.
