The hotel was great all except the breakfast. It was terrible. The milk for breakfast was warm, not sitting in ice. The yogurt was sitting out without ice, the creamers had been out all night (not non dairy creamer). There was not fruit or even bananas. They really need help with breakfast considering it is one of 3 hotels sitting next to each other.

"Hotel in Corning, NY"
I hate to totally trash a review because almost everywhere has some redeeming qualities, but not the case for this dump. This is the most overpriced pig sty I have ever stayed in. Room felt scuzzy and the sink was about 12 inches square without any place to lay anything except on the back of the toilet. Shower was the only thing that was tolerable. […] My wife kept waiting for bed bugs to start biting. Everything about the place was below par. Our room overlooked a garbage filled alley. After a short nights sleep, we packed quickly to go down for breakfast and to check on the car since the neighborhood didn't look safe. We found the toaster was filthy and the microwave so dirty that my wife wouldn't even heat her water for tea in it. The breakfast selection was barely adequate, but the lack of proper cleaning didn't foster a strong appetite. The floor was sticky from lack of proper mopping. I could go on and on, but you get the picture. To add insult to injury, this dump was way overpriced. It is hard to believe a manager could let a place get in such sad shape. Never again. "Not a good deal for the money"
The staff was very friendly but the hotel is run down and not very clean. The closed pool was a disappointment, the room was not good, even the bed clothes smelled of rancid grease and the room reeked of stale smoke, not even a vanity in the bathroom to set our personal items on, the free breakfast was not appetizing. "great location!"
This hotel was alright. The pool was undergoing maintenance during my stay which is one of the reasons I booked a room at this hotel but the surrounding area made up for that with plenty of places to eat. The Corning Museum of Glass was literally within comfortable walking distance and the Arnot Mall was only 15 minutes away. The room we got was nice […] and cozy. The only downside is that housekeeping never came to our room and it would've been nice to sleep in clean sheets... I would recommend this hotel because it was good for the price I paid. "needs some attention to detail"
Arrived to attend a funeral. Tried to make several local calls on arrival and phones were out. Stayed three nights. On second day there was no room tending of any kind. Was told maid left early. Not good enough explanation of what went wrong.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Pool closed was a bummer"
I think everything would have been satisfactory had the pool been opened. This was one of the main reasons we chose this hotel, and to arrive and find out it was closed was a disappointment. "Okay hotel!"
Hotel was okay as one would expect of a Days Inn. The price was good and our stay was only for one night. Location was great as we were there to visit the Corning Glass Museum and were able to walk there from the hotel. Worked out fine for what we wanted.Genuine Expedia guest review
