My husband, my 10 year old daughter and myself stayed at the Courtyard for our older daughter's graduation and I must say the staff was very friendly, helpful and courteous. I would definitely book this hotel again for our next vist

I was really impressed with my stay. I was in town for my daughter's Naval graduation. My room was really nice and clean. Also loved the bistro in the lobby area for some quick meals. Food was pretty good. I loved having the shuttle take me to the naval base for only $3. As a side note the shuttle driver informed me that the shuttle may not be there […] to pick me up after the graduation. I hitched a ride with another family member back to my hotel. I was visiting my fiancé who lives on the Great Lakes Naval Base and the employees at this Marriott were not only extremely helpful, but they were also really nice to me and my fiancé. I would definitely stay here again for a weekend with him.

Great place to stay. Clean and comfortable. We splurged for the suite and it is quite comfortable. Pool was warm and hot tub was enjoyable. Staff was very friendly and professional and allowed us to occupy our room several hours early. I intended to ask for that favor, but they offered before I could even ask. The rooms were large, clean and comfortable. Our stay was great. The staff and services they offered were beyond expected and always with a smile. The hotel is centrally located to lots of restaurants and common stores, such as Walmart and Target. I would recommend this hotel 100%. They also provided a shuttle to the Navy graduation at the cost of only 3 dollars PP.

Stayed at motel for a few nights to be with my son for his graduation form Navy Boot Camp. The staff meets and greets families every week and they have it down to a science. When I make a return trip there I will book at the same motel.

Excellent hotel that caters to the Navy parent. They offered 3rd party shuttle access to and from the Navy bootcamp graduation at the Navy RTC. Room was clean, hotel centrally located near restaurants, like most hotels near military bases, hospitality and services were great. Will stay there again if I ever have to go to Waukegan.

Good experience. Only negatives - alarm next door went off at 6:00 a.m. each morning and no guests were in that room. Couch in room was worn and didn't look pleasing.

Wonderful location. Good service, computer access, and Wi-Fi. Restaurants near-by. Disappointed that coffee was not available past 10 AM in the lobby. Starbucks is right next door, however. An in-door pool was available though not used by our family. Very helpful to have shuttle service for Navy Graduation....a big plus!!

Stayed here for RTC Graduation. Very close to RTC, very nice and comfotable stay. The staff is excellent and helpfull. You wont be dissapointed.

The hotel staff were friendly. The hotel space outside of the room was well maintained. The food was good, the food service was excellent. The convenience of having food, space to relax and computer services was excellent. The room was not comfortable because of the old mattress, old sheets, old towels, and old pillows.

This a perfect setting for the Naval graduation family. Very nice and clean and there is extra seating areas for family gatherings. The front desk staff was exceptional and very helpful with ideas for day trips to Chicago and local resturant picks. There were neighboring places to eat and shop, if needed. The worst Marriott I have ever stayed at....sofa bed mattress was terrible, smelled and dirty. Blanket had holes in it.....bed mattress was broke down and old. Hallway carpet was dirty. Not a good hotel.

Great place. They have a rate discount with Rosalind Franklin University, the naval base and Abbott. So call the hotel directly, the price may be cheaper.

I was expecting a courtyard to have more amenities such as a microwave, in addition to a fridge. I have also been to courtyards that had more of a sitting room area within the rooms. The queen mattress definitely needed to be "turned" or replaced as it sagged significantly on the side closest to the night stand and the hair dryer was not "reliable", […] it had some sort of glitch in the cord that provided intermittent power. The loaction was great with a Denny's and Starbucks next door and a Wal-mart across the street. I think they have slipped in some comfort and service because the location is good and there are families arriving every weekend for boot camp graduation. Which is why I would recommend it, but personally I will try out one of the other two nearby hotels next visit. Read more
