Stayed one evening even though I needed a facility 3-4 days per week for a 30 day period. One evening's stay at the prices charged by the Baymont I moved to a cleaner less expensive Comfort Inn

I would recommend this hotel to friends, neighbors and family. Located in a small town but close to the "big" city. Clean, warm pool & family friendly with helpful staff. The minimal updating occuring does NOT distract from a a clean & homey feeling for the lobby, rooms and breakfast area. Wonder a wonderful assest to a small town.

Apparently they are in process of remodeling and under new management, so maybe when everything is up and running and staff trained more fully things will improve. Worth giving it a try as it isn't bad just not up to par. Nice pool area and several young families were there enjoying themselves. Breakfast needed help as food was cold at 7:30 AM

Overall I had a good experience, but I would have liked it if there had been an elevator. It was also quite apparent that they were transitioning from one owner to another. Things seemed a little disorganized, but the staff was nice enough to make up for it.

I stayed at this hotel a couple years ago and it has gone downhill. For the price charged, I would at least expect the room to have a few decorations, but there was nothing. While the room was clean and the staff was friendly, the room itself was on par with the cheap discount chains. The bathroom was in ill repair: the toilet seat was not mounted properly […] and slid around when sitting on it, the faucet handles were loose and stripped. We stayed in a Country Inn and Suites in Green Bay the night prior and it was phenomenally better and was actually cheaper.I realize price fluctuates depending on the area and time of year, but there should definitely be a standard presentation for a hotel chain and the Waunakee location was a huge disappointment. I also do not agree with the $10 additional charge for extra guests. There is no reason three people cannot stay in a room that has two beds, so an extra $10 for the third guest is ridiculous and petty. Read more

The hotel was alright but I had a few complaints. The lack of an elevator, though not a huge deal, was somewhat annoying as my job requires lugging around heavy parts. My main complaint was that the duvet had clearly not been cleaned in a long time. With competetors like Holiday Inn Express and Hampton Inn providing totally clean linens in the same […] price category, it is a shame that this place isn't keeping up. The shower and bathroom sink controls were odd. The shower in particular was difficult to adjust for temperature and it was very noisey. The lack of an elevator was disappointing.

A group of about 12 checked in at 10pm they banged doors and shouted up and down the corridor incessantly. I asked them to be quiet twice and I said please In the end there was a major confrontation at 12.30am The hotel should have a silence after 10.30pm policy with notices posted. This Country Inn hotel is a bit older than others we have stayed at but generally a good choice for traveling families or visitors to this area. The breakfast was excellent and the staff were generally helpful. The only reason why we gave the hotel some lower marks is because the housekeeping was not what we expected. We got clean towels and the beds […] were made every day, but we're not sure that the room was vaccumed once during our 5 night stay and the bathroom was definitely not cleaned fully one day. Details like replacing dead lightbulbs also went unattended, even when we left notes about them. A single guest may not notice these things, but with a family of 4 sharing a double-room, lapses such as these were quite noticeable. Although this hotel is a bit away from downtown Madison, it was clean and the drive was really not bad. The only downside is they don't have an elevator to the second floor, but they were more than accomodating when we asked to move to a "handicap" accessible room on the first floor. As we were checking in we asked if the desk person knew where a restaurant that we were suppose to meet later that evening was located. They were not aware of where it was and asked another employee if they knew where it was located. No one was sure where it was. We went to our room and as we were ready to leave they stopped us and gave of the address […] and phone number to the restaurant. That was very nice of them to keep looking. For a Country Inn and Suites brand hotel, I was sorely disapointed. Paid a high price for a hotel outside of Madison - wanted the convenience of not having to go into the city - and it was horrible. Room was very outdated, bed lumpy, TV speakers were blown and reception was fuzzy. No blackout shades, so the lights from the adjacent industrial park shined […] in all nigth. Walls are thin, hear everything in the hall. B'fast was OK, but overall a very poor quality hotel. Would not recommend staying here. Go into Madison for a better hotel. Wireless internet was down in room but available in room...room rate was adjusted for this inconvience. Was our anniversary and staff was helpful finding a place for my husband to purchase flowers early in the morning to give me at breakfast. Nice quiet location...will stay again.

They offered a good continental breakfast, the pool was nice along with the hot tub. The beds were comfortable and it's a quiet location. The only complaint that I have is the bathroom was a bit run down, showing signs of wear and tear however it was clean.

We stayed here for one night. The pool heater was broken so needless to say the kids were disappointed. The carpeting was not clean in our room. On the positive side, the staff was very courteous and helpful. The breakfast was nice with a variey of items. The price wsa very reasonable.

Everything about our stay was very good. The hotel was decorated for the holidays and was beautiful. The pool was clean and towels were plentiful. Our room was clean in all of the basic areas (light fixtures need to be dusted) and the fan in the bathroom sounded like a lumber wagon. This is the second time we have had this problem.

I had no complaints about the hotel itself. It had nice interior, and comfortable, odor-free rooms. The price was high considering where the hotel was located, though. It did include a continental breakfast, but the food selection was not great.
