We had a great time. The just off Canal St location was convenient to Bourbon St, French Qtr, and shopping. We would like to give props to Tom the Hotel desk clerk for his help and great personality. He made our trip even more enjoyable with his sight seeing and restaurant recommendations.

Hotel had a lot of character and located near all the main sites & locations. Bummed we had to pay $15 a day for parking. But made our first visit to new Orleans REAL nice!!!!!

The Pelham has beautiful architecture and was fairly clean. It offered no real amenities (no coffee maker in the room, no hooks or shelves in the bathroom, no pool or fitness center). It was located 1/2 block from the hotel where I attended a business conference. The Pelham was less than half the price of the conference hotel, so it was worth living […] with no amenities to save money. My biggest complaint (other than no coffeemaker) was the paper thin walls. Out of the six nights I stayed, I was awakened by other guests during three different nights. There were 3 groups of VERY LOUD drunk people in one night (Saturday) that made sleeping nearly impossible. The hotel staff took care of the situation appropriately. This was a great hotel. Closer than we thought to Canal Street than we thought so that was great since we walked everywhere. The restaurant downstairs always had a line so we didn't get to eat there during our stay. Overall it was a very nice stay.

Room was the smallest that I have ever stayed in before, but clean and well kept. The only real negative was the air conditioning. Couldn't get it below 71degrees, didn't have any other rooms available to move into, so needless to say it was humid and very uncomfortable to stay in. Never again, for the price!!!

Loved this Boutique style Hotel. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful! It is close to everything, and was very clean. The only complaints I have are the location of the ice and vending machines, and no coffee makers in the room. Other than that it was Great!

The hotels that are salvaged out of 'historically significant' buildings in the 'American Quarter' have some serious disadvantages. The most aggravating one was that parking had to be valet and it was very slow. These hotels need to develop a better plan to work from. Also, they did not change out the sheets daily and the rooms need more light.

The room was nice and the staff was great but the hotel must have paper thin walls. We were close to the elevator and you could hear people talking and laughing like they were in your room. The rooms were nice and clean. The building is old with real high ceilings. This was the nicest, most traditional hotel I've ever stayed in. The rooms had high ceilings and the furniture was of solid wood, which is something I'm not used to. Sometimes it's nice to have Old World charm, rather than complimentary breakfast.

My family and I went to NOLA to visit the Aquarium and other family sites. This hotel is in a great location for that, and it's basically right across the street from Canal Place and the Riverwalk. The price was very reasonable, and overall the hotel was very clean and comfortable. We will stay here again next time --

The hotel needs a major renovation. It has a great location, but is really run down. My room was next to the reception facing the street. It was loud all night. They need coffee makers in the rooms. Update the beds. More lights. Why have flat screen TV with low resolution signals? Staff was lazy and unattentive, sometimes sleeping at the desk.

We picked this hotel based on reviews here, but were disappointed. Our ground floor room was near the hotel entrance and people stood outside, smoking and chatting, at all hours, making the room smelly and loud. It also faced the elevator, so there was yet more noise as party-goers returned to their rooms. The bed was comfy and linens were spotlessly […] white. The double high ceiling and tasteful appointments gave a quirky but pleasant atmosphere. Bathroom was large and gleamed with polished stone. However, that's where the good news ends. The room was very small - only a couple of feet on each side of the bed. The tiny shampoo, conditioner and soap provided on the first day were never replaced in the SEVEN days of our stay. At one point after REPEATED requests we did get a garbage bag thrust into our hands by a rather unpleasant desk clerk with couple of bottles of conditioner and shower gel plus an extra (and unneeded) box of tissues and a roll of TP. However, both presentation method and attitude lacked the finesse one expects when paying this much for a room. We also had two days of barely tepid showers and were told that this happens routinely when the hotel is full. Coffee was self service with those little cassette thingies. No choice in roast type and only available for a few hours in the morning until they run out. Desk service was generally less than friendly (Thomas being the exception. He was amazing). The location of the hotel is perfect. Right off of Canal Street where you feel very safe. Great little restaurant around the corner for awesome pizza and a great steak sandwich (Kubis) . The owner is working hard to update the rooms and even make the ones with no window very inviting. The rooms are not huge but who is going to spend much time in their […] room. Wish the beds were a little more comfortable but that comes from someone with back problems. The staff, especially Thomas. was amazing. I enjoyed visiting with them and learning where to go and what to do. Ask them about what sightseeing to do and they will point you where to go and eat. Best Location at the best price. Loved my stay at the Pelham! Room was clean, charming and comfortable; the hotel desk staff was very helpful and friendly; the adjacent restaurant, The Ruby Slipper had delicious, reasonbly priced meals. Hotel was within walking distance to bourbon st, mother's restaurant, harrah's casino and much more. It had a great restaurant attached to it as well. Rooms were a little tight but not enough to discourage any future stays. Staff was very polite and courteous.

Its an old Hotel and they are in the process of remodeling OMG and lack of brightness its too drab.
