"Great location, hotel service could use some work"
Overall a pleasant exoerience. Pros: 1. Location- 5 minute walk to Eiffel Tower, which made it easy to visit during day and night, which is a must! Also supermarket across the street. Also not too far of a walk to the Arc de Triomph and the main shopping area in town. 2. Room was very spacious, clean, and comfortable. 3. Hotel staff, all 3 people we […] saw, are friendly. Cons- 1. Hotel staffing was poor. Only 1 person at the front desk, which is literally just a table and chair, who has the job of 5 people. The woman that checked us in was very friendly but not very helpful when it came to being a concierge when we had questions about tours or things to do in the area. Only 1 lady cleaning the entire hotel. One day we got back to our room around 5pm and it still was not done. 2. Not much shopping or night life in the area. Everything, including restaurants, is closed by around 10pm. Would recommend staying closer to Champs-Elysee area for shopping and night life. 3. Small hotel- none of the cab drivers knew where it was. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"A great boutique hotel in Paris."
If I could, I would rate this hotel a 4.5 out of 5. Very nice boutique hotel in Paris. Thoughtful decor and furnishings, extremely quiet and great service. It seems as though the hotel just went through a rennovation as everything seemed nice and new. Good size room in Paris. Location is great but not excellent. The hotel is located in a very safe […] residential area a few blocks from the Eiffel Tower and nearest metro. Great local cafes nearby (not tourist spots) which was nice. Location is great for a young couple looking for the real Paris experience. I would highly recommend this hotel. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Perfect for a short stay.....or longer!"
Overall the hotel met all of our expectations for our short stay of 3 nights. The only thing lacking in our room was an iron/ironing board, but I really did not want to do that in Paris anyway. There was a small fridge/mini bar (to hold our leftover baguette), wine glasses (very important), a safe (for my purchases in Paris-pas), efficient use of space […] in the room and bathroom, very clean and quiet. The staff was very helpful (in English) with information on Metro, restaurants, museums, umbrellas (yes, it was rainy), etc. The location was near a Metro stop and to see the Eiffel Tower at night was fantastic. I would recommend this hotel if you are a walker as it is quite a distance to Notre Dame or Lourve. The Metro is a great alternative to get to the sites further away. BTW, we did not use the restaurant services available in the hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
I want to recommend this hotel because it was excellent throughout the decoration of the room was designer. the bathroom very nice the bed was very nice to sleep.the hotel is well located, near the Eiffel Tower, across a supermarket and a bakery on the corner and good restaurants around. have internet and computerGenuine Expedia guest review
"Le Marquis Eiffel"
The hotel is located near the Tour Eiffel with all its appeal, yet is on a side street and very quiet. The Metro is covenient as are any number of places to eat and drink. The staff was pleasant and helpful with suggestions and directions. Nice touch--sitting in arm chairs to complete registration process. After an exhausting travel day it was certainly […] appreciated! The room was small, yet nicely decorated and the space was effectively arranged to maximize comfort. "Le Marquis Eiffel"
We planned a 6 night stay in Paris and found the Le Marquis as a low cost option for a hotel. It is a great loction just a few blocks from the Eiffel Tower. We chose it because of the "view of the Tower". Our room was on the 4th floor and we could not see the tower, only the searchlight on top. The room was on the small side though it had a King Size […] bed. It was clean and well kept. Our rate did not include breakfast which was disappointing because I thought that I had chosen a rate that did. Not a big issue but it the hotel staff was not the most helpful or friendly. "Clean, little, far and without internet"
It Is a good hotel for your stay! However it has two points that could make you feel really desapointed: the internet service is nule and his ubication is way too far of the subway.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Excellent Stay in Paris at Le Marquis Eiffel"
Le Marquis Eiffel was an excellent hotel that was well worth the money for the room we stayed in. The hotel staff was friendly and very helpful, our room was clean, and the hotel is located in a great location. The hotel room that we stayed in was clean and the bed was comfortable. "Will stay here again"
The hotel is on a quiet street and at first I thought it may be in a relatively remote part of Paris. Au contraire...it is a short walk to the Eiffel Tower (a few minutes), the Metro, and nice restaurants. We enjoyed the close proximity to the Eiffel Tower and spent a few evenings watching the light show after returning from dinner. There are excellent […] amenities steps away - a grocery store, a bakery, laundry, etc. The hotel room was pleasant although not spacious (average for Paris). The good news is that there is air conditioning in the rooms (during our trip the mercury hit 30C or 85F). I also appreciated the free Internet access. I will definitely stay here again - it is good value; a nice hotel with helpful staff. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Experience Paris like a local at Le Marquis Eiffel"
I would highly recommend this hotel. Great price, fantastic location, and great service! This hotel is reminiscent of the famous "W" Hotels. There's a grocery store across the street, a bakery two doors down, a butcher next door and bike rentals across the street. You will experience Paris like a true Parisian in a quiet, non-touristy area. This location […] is ideal to see the entire city and it's so close to the Eiffel Tower. We stayed in several hotels traveling through Europe, this hotel had the most comfortable bed! I paid £163 for this hotel for one night as it was supposed to be close to the Eiffel Tower, in fact it was still a 25minute walk to the attraction. As we arrived at the hotel the guy on reception asked my surname and gave me a card saying what room number and thank you. Didn't go through anything with me. I stayed for two nights in Paris and spent […] the second in the Gard Du Nord, in the Murcure right in front of the Eurostar station. Next time I go to Paris I would stay closer to the eurostar, everything is central and so easy to get to. Don't pay extortionate prices to be closer to the central part of Paris. "Walking Distance to the Eiffel Tower!"
We loved the Marquis Eiffel for its proximity to the Eiffel Tower and amazingly comfortable beds. We walked to the tower to watch the light show all four nights we were in town and slept better than we do at home. The breakfast is WAY overpriced, but there's a bakery two doors down. Close to restaurants and metro stations, too.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Will definitely return"
The hotel is excellent. It is located a short walk from 2 metro stops and 5 minutes walk from the Eiffel tower. There are numerous bars and restaurants nearby but the hotel is in a nice quiet spot. "good location room at back of hotel small"
the hotel is in a good location. we were allocated a room to the rear of the hotel which unfortunately was small and badly lit with a central core surrounded by other buildings so no natural light. the front rooms are bigger and have natural light if like us you are staying for three days or more insist on the front room to make your stay more enjoyable […] or do not go to this hotel as there are others with better facilities for the price. overall the location and the position in relation to the metro was good but the room allocated for a three night stay was disappointing not a 4 star experience Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"OK hotel but not sure what the 4 stars are for"
The hotel was in a convenient and quiet location, 10 mins away from the Eiffel Tower. Hotel staff were excellent and very helpful and friendly. However the hotel was a lot smaller than I thought it would be with the lounge area and breakfast area being quite 'cosy', our hotel room had been suffering from some damp as some plaster had come away from […] the base of the wall. On our first night there was no hot water the following morning with just a minimal apology. I would say the hotel was no more than 3 stars at best and couldn't work out what we got for 4 stars. The breakfast was very expensive for what it was and greater deals could be had close by and no other meals/snacks were provided at all. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Le Marquis Eiffel was a lovely little hotel perfect for a romantic get away. The rooms are clean and beds changed daily, however slightly on the small side and no view of Paris at all. "Very Good but not Great"
Firstly the location of this hotel is great. The staff were very helpful. as said before the breakfast is 16euro which you don't need, there are many places to eat on the surrounding streets. "Close to Eiffel tower"
The hotel was only 10 mins walk to the Eiffel Tower it was a great location..The room was okay it looked better on the web page.My request for a room with a view of the tower was carried out and we could see the top half of the tower from our room, this was very much appreciated. The room was a good size, However the room had quite a few stains in the […] carpet, the toilet was continuously running from the first time it was flushed. The concierge when asked about dining in the area wasnt very helpful, i would have thought that the concierge would have had a prepared list of good restuarants in the local area for hotel guests, but after half an hour looking on the internet came up with only 3 and one of those was closed for renovations. The one we chose out of the remaining two i asked if it would need bookings and was told no when we arrived at the restaurant it was packed and no tables available, we where told in a rude manner we should have booked. The male concierge wasnt very helpful and it felt as though you where imposing when asking for his assistance, all other staff we encountered where great and happy to help.We expected more from a 4 star hotel.Paris was great fun and we still had a great time.We will have very fond memories that will last a lifetime but if we return think i may unfortunately try my chances elsewhere. The Hotel has great potential'just not fulfilling them.. "Hotel Le Marquis Eiffel"
This hotel is quiet as it is on a small street but convenient because it is close enough to walk to the Eiffel tower. The Tower is about a ten minute walk and the metro is only a five minute walk. Breakfast is very expensive so we usually picked up fresh croissants from the bakery which is two doors from the hotel and yogurt from the grocery store across […] the street. "Genuinely a lovely family / romantic Hotel"
Arrived late on Friday with a very warm, polite and profeesssional greeting. Travelled to see Rhiana in concert with the kids, so we booked a double and twin room. Both rooms were of a good size for Paris and were locate on the 6th Floor. We previously stayed at Le Walt Hotel which is in the same Hotel group (inwood) and 10 mins walk away. Both superb! The hotel was very French (small and boutique) NOT your usual American sized hotels , so dont come here and complain the rooms are not big enough... ALL rooms in Paris as small - Medium. I would highly recommend the hotel. Location is excellent too. 10 mins walk max to Eiffel tower and The Batobus. 3 mins walk to the nearest Metro (Dupliex or La Motte Picque). 30 meters to a great supermarket (looks small from the outside), stunning patiserries 10 meters away!) This hotel was spot on for our short three night stay. Okay, the room wasn't the biggest but we weren't there to spend all day in the room - it had enough room for the two of us. "Great hotel excellent location for attractions."
Just returned from Paris after celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary & stayed in the marquis Eiffel which was lovely. We payed a little extra to be dropped off & picked up from the airport which was a bonus as we could get on with our short break as soon as we arrived - super shuttle were brilliant with very polite drivers who were on time & of course […] could navigate Paris in very nice people carriers. The staff in the hotel were very polite & most could speak very good English which was great as neither my husband or I can speak French. I reviewed the hotel before we arrived & some said that he rooms were small but we found ours more than adequate clean and bright with a view of the top of Eiffel Tower from our balcony on the top floor. We didn't have breakfast in the hotel as we thought a little expensive at 16 € per head but there was a lovely little pastry shop just out of the hotel on the left where we got breakfast on the go. Also across the road is a supermarket which was very handy for bits and pieces. We would definitely stay in this hotel again as it is ideally positioned within walking distance to the Eiffel Tower (10 mins if that) and to the metro. Loved out stay. "Expensive hotel, poor house keeping”"
A quiet neighbourhood (a bit dull) not too far from the Metro. The hotel was expensive for what it is and the facilities it provides. Small old fashioned rooms and bathrooms. "Le Marquis Eiffel hotel (March 27 to April 2 2013)"
The hotel was located in a pleasant residential district, a short walk to the Champs de Mars and the Eiffel Tower as well as a short 1.5 km. walk to Les Invalides and the Dome Church. About 10 mins. to the Champs de Mars and another 10 down to the tower. We had a room on the first floor next to the elevator which wasn't a problem for noise. However […] the walls are a bit thin and could hear the people above or beside (perhaps a residence next door). The hotel was very clean and staff were extremely pleasant. Free wifi in room. Buffet breakfast in morning but a bit steep at 16 euros a person. We bought supplies at the grocery store across the street (closed on Sundays) and there are plenty of bakeries in the area. Complaints would be that the room is very dimly lit and we had one light burnt out which we asked for a replacement and same offered, but didn't get fixed. Even with the extra light it was still dim. The hallway lights are motion sensored and the light in the stairway you have to turn on a switch to have light walking down the stairs. Overall a lovely boutique hotel in an excellent location.
