There were 2 things that I did not like...1st was that I had to pay to access the internet on the hotel computer...2nd, I was told that breakfast would start at 6 AM and when I showed up downstairs at 6 I was told that it didn't start until 6:30. I could have slept for an extra 1/2 hour...:(

parking is too expensive, should have deal if your staying more then one night.... other then that great hotel, perfect location..... just find everytime i rent through hotels.com i always stay on the 5th floor, for once i would like to stay on a higher floor and have some what of a view besides other buildings full of graffiti and garbage containers...

My stay started out somewhat disappointing as I was given a room other than the type I initially reserved. They were able to find me the room I wanted however the phone was not working and there was no toilet tissue in the restroom. The concierge was extremely helpful and apologetic. he got my room and tissue straightened out, but the phone remained broken. The breakfast provided was quite substantial and the staff extremely friendly and helpful. Overall, aside from a few minor details, I definitely will stay here again.

"Delta Centre-Ville Montreal"
My stay was very enjoyable. The Staff was all friendly and helpful all the time. Hotel was fairly close to surrounding entertainment. The Metro isnt far and pretty easy to get around. The Indoor pool and Sauna was fantasic as well as the workout room. Overall I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying for the weekend. Enjoy!
"Nice hotel - not sure about the 3.5 star"
First off the positives: beautiful hotel in a great location, decent rates, and a very comfy king size bed. Very friendly and helpful staff. Now the negatives: small blood stain on one of the towels, no mini fridge in the room and no ice machine on our floor, very small pool. That said, all in all a very pleasant stay! Thanks!

I apologise if there was an issue of cleanliness with one of your towels and will speak to Housekeeping to ensure our room attendants are more attentive when placing these in our clean rooms. Mini fridges or mini bars were removed some years ago due to energy consumption and the items generally going beyond their expiry date before consumption. There are approximately 15 small fridges available through Housekeeping for a nominal fee. Simply inquire upon arrival and if available one can be sent up to your room. Most parking lots and garages use a ticket system. These tickets are validated at the front desk and remain active during the entire guest stay. We also offer 'in & out' privileges which most do not, allowing our guests to come and go freely without having to pay upon each exit. The water interuption was due to a repair and affected only certain floors from approximately 10:30am to 13:30pm. Unfortuantely, this repair was urgently required to replace a faulty valve and avoid further water damages. I apologise if this stoppage may have caused you any inconvenience. Our high speed internet service is complimentary as of April 1st for an undetermined period. The XL high speed connection is an asset to our guests and file downloads are faster than ever. Excellent location to and for all main sites easy access from train or subway stations. Located on the edge of old Montreal, China Town and the Main Downtown core. In easy walking distance for downtown shopping. Short cab rides (max $20) to most major attractions although the subway system will get you there quicker and cheaper. By a day pass. The Hotel […] was excellent and we would give it at least an 8 out of 10. Courteous and fast registration and leaving. Multiple quick & clean elevators. Very clean rooms - with all the amenities you would need. Free WiFi , games counsel,etc. Very comfortable rooms, and beds with great views and easy to control thermostats. Improvements: They could improve their towels, sheets, pillow cases and bathrobes by washing them in a different detergent (or double rinsing) (or using a fabric softener) (or eliminating startch) as they were stiff and at times itchy to the skin. My partner has a sensitivity to detergents and even I noticed the roughness of some of those items. Recommendations; We recommend you register for the Signature suites - slightly more expensive (not a lot) but the inclusions of ample breakfast choices unlimited -included - - happy hour and their snacks - included - or just a peaceful place to sit and view the city with a great panoramic view of Montreal (on the 28th floor) is well worth the additional few dollars, make sure you take your camera with you. We would definitely return to this Hotel again when in the area. PS: There many more amenities including those mentioned above. Pool, rotating skyline restaurant, etc. Read more

"What a bad experience!"
I booked my hotel in advance using hotels.com, which was very user friendly. I arrived at the hotel around 7pm (check-in time is 4pm) they had over booked, and they had no rooms ready for us. We waited for over 30 minutes while they tried to find us a room. They finally found us a room on the 11th floor- it was very dirty and run down. The bathroom […] was disgusting, with pee all over the toilet, and hair on the floor. I called the front desk to try and get a new room. After waiting another 10 minutes, they called back to say they "upgraded" us. It turned out to be not much of an upgrade. The room was still very old and run down. Overall, for the amount we paid...I would rather spend a bit more for something decent. Delta is a well known chain, but this hotel was extremely disappointing. Read more

I was surprised that you were made to wait upon arrival and can assure you that we were not overbooked at any moment during the month of February. I apologise if your initial room was not cleaned properly, and assure you that our standards of cleanliness are normally very high. I will speak to Housekeeping regarding your case and see if we can determine what happened. Your subsequent room was a Signature Club room which among other amenities includes Signature lounge access. The lounge offers deluxe continental breakfast and afternoon hors d'oeuvres. This lounge overlooks the entire city and has beautiful views of the downtown area. We realise that some of our rooms are in need of attention, and have already begun a major re-design of several guest floors. Our new rooms will be very modern and feature enhanced comfort and connectivity. We hope you will return to see our new product in the year ahead. Hotel was very clean, my room was a little small but what made things worse was the TV was over 10 years old and was only 22"! Good Hotel but needs to fix their TV situation.

"Delta Centre Ville - Over rated"
We stayed in three different hotels on the trip, and this was the most expensive, but worst experience... We had to pay for internet connection in our room, the tv was small, the coffee was horrible, the beds we small and uncomfortable, the coffee machine took a genius to figure out how to turn on. The location sucked because the roads are impossible […] to figure out. We had to pay another $25 for parking. We had people just walking into our room, the remote did not work for the tv and we had to get it replaced.. Overall, I would never ever stay at another Delta, nor would I recommend anyone else to either. Read more

This is one of the hotel near the Train Station of Montreal. Since I was from Montreal and saw it often I was always under the impression that it was expensive. Well it's not ! It's very reasonable for the price. Staff was nice and informative.

Getting out the parking lot was a pain,having to go down to the bottom level then go back to the level we were already at,, and getting out of the car to access all the machines was our only compaint.great hotel otherwise

Our parking garage was initially intended only for valet parking and so it was not designed with self parking in mind. We have had the self parking option for a long time but unfortunately the structure and layout can not be modified. Our exit leads from the lower level and then through the neighbouring building. A quick walk across the street and it lead to the under-ground shopping mall! Great shopping, restaurants and exercise! In the other direction brings you to the Metro (subway) great transit system. Over all pretty good hotel. My room was near the elevators so I would hear the vibration or mechanical sounds in my room, anoying when it was in the middle of the night. $23 per day to park is a rip off. I am sorry if you were disturbed by the elevators and assure you that we rarely obtain this type of complaint. I will have the elevators verified to see that they are operating quietly. Do not hesitate to contact the manager on duty so that we may have the option of moving you to a quieter room if needed. Our parking garage charges are very similar, or less expensive, than other downtown hotels and parking lots. We also offer the opportunity for guests to go in & out during the day without any extra charge, whereas in most lots they charge at each exit. The staff were fast and efficient and the room was in excellent condition. Great desk/ tv and lighting. The air vents were a little noisy and a little short on towels for the first day. The lobby was great and free internet was good as the internet to the room was not available. Used the pub and good service. "Good deal great location"
Nice hotel from the outside but the room interior is showing a little bit of age. Overall appearance and quality is a bit outdated but still a decent nice looking hotel. Great location and paid a good price so was satisfied with my stay. Food at the restaurant wasn't good.

we were not surprised but still disappointed to find that many of the negative reviews we had read online about this delta were indeed true. the negative issues pertain to the room. the fan was so noisy we had to turn it off in order to sleep, the blow dryer did not work and when we called for a new one it took 24 hours to be sent to us, there were […] 4 of us in room and they never left more than 2 bath towels, we called for more 3 days in a row and only got more on the 3rd try, our used glasses and mugs were not replaced daily so we went to the restaurant for take out coffees instead of being able to make coffee in the room for free ! finally, the drab beige and brown decor is so outdated, it is depressing !! I apologise for the apparent lack of service regarding towels, hair dryer and coffee mugs. Housekeeping will be advised to be more attentive to the number of guests and to advise our maintenence department should they notice anything needing repair such as the air conditioning unit. We will be undergoing a major redesign in the coming months and into 2012. I am sure you find our new rooms to be a drastic improvement in look and feel. New carpeting, beds, furniture and a complete remodeling of the bathrooms as well. Perhaps on an upcoming visit you will see the change first hand. Until then, I am sorry for the issues and thank you for your comments.

It was a beautiful hotel, nice room, but was deceived by the fact that there were no balconies and we had to go down out the lobby to go outside. The pool closes at 9:30pm, which should be open until midnight for adults to relax in the pool without children splashing everywhere. Very good hotel - covers all the basics. Location perfect for access to old town. Nothing great in the immediate vicinity but a short walk in either direction gets you to where the action is.

The service was very good and friendly. The room was small with very little room for walking around. The doors and furniture looked roughed up and abused for a hotel of this quality. The parking was a disappointment because as paying guests of the hotel we then had to pay for parking on top of the room rate and it was for every day we stayed. We thought […] that they would validate our parking ticket once we got to the lobby to sign in but they don't validate and they keep charging you more with each day. We were not told that this extra charge would be part of the hotel stay's fees. Updates on the room's cleanliness and the decor, as well as the parking included in the room rate would have made our stay more pleasant. This hotel is in a great location for site seeing. Just a short distance to everything. The hotel staff were very nice. We found the restuarant a little pricey. The hotel is starting to show some wear and tear, but still clean and comfortable. Good value for your money. I would recommend they have an airport shuttle service though.
