it was very basic, but we got a good nughts sleep. The person at the desk was very nice. You don't need a coffee pot in the room when you have a starbucks below. I just wish the ice machine was working.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good for the price"
An alright hotel considering it is half the price of nearby hotels. Some cleanliness issues with sheets and towels. The shower heads being upgraded would be one simple yet effective way to improve the hotel. Staff was friendly with one exception.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I would not recommend this hotel unless your camping. No air conditioning, room on 8th floor with no screens. Room from 1950 furnishings. 20" TV 25' from the bed. Asked if I could get a different room and was told they could not help me. Pre paid for two nights checked out after first night. Thought I was ripped off. Worst hotel I ever stayed in!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Convenient to Bus Stops"
I was skeptical about this hotel from reading previous reviews. Although the hotel is older, you can see that an attempt is being made to upgrade the bathrooms. The TV only has 5 channels. The beds were comfortable and there were no bugs or night critters seen. There's no A/C, but the cool night summer air kept you comfortable. The bus stops around […] the corner was very convenient for my meetings as well as taking me to the lake for an evening out. I believe that the hotel has a ways to go to meet most comfort standards, but for a two-night stay, this hotel met my needs. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
I had a conference at the Westin and I wasn't going to pay their rates. Hotel Seattle was a half mile walk down the street. It is also less than a block from the light rail. If a country boy like me can find my way around it shouldn't be hard for city folk to navigate. Yes, one electrical socket in the room didn't work and they only had an iron, but […] no ironing board. Nevertheless, I survived. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Don't Stay Here"
The hotel was dingy and run down. There is no air conditioning in the rooms. There are no screens on the windows. The area is noisy at night. The bathroom sink was falling from the wall. The Wi-Fi is only in the lobby. We did not feel comfortable in the room. If we had not paid in advance, we would have left and found something else. I would have rather […] set up a tent and camped then stayed in that room. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"An Anachronistic Experience"
This would have been a pretty great hotel in the '80s. And I mean that as in there's been no maintenance since then. Which is good in a way, or it would be much more expensive.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Location Location Location"
Well, aside from the location, not much positive to say about this property. No room A/C, no in room wireless, and no working television! On the other hand, the door jams work well as bottle openers.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not a great hotel"
This hotel offers the very basics. Good for one night stay for a single person. Definitely not good for a family.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Brewery, baseball game, bar, go home."
Got to seattle by train at noon from portland, walked to hotel(15 mins), room wasn't ready till 2 like the site said but they front desk guy let us leave our bags. Went to Georgetown brewery, $15 cab ride. Got back at 3, room was ready(elevator was kinda older but worked fine), room was clean, bedding clean, a/c worked, and the rollaway bed I requested […] in the room already. Went to the baseball game, 15 minute walk. Finished game and went to the room to shower, went out for the night, came back to sleep, woke up(Wakeup call was exactly the right time) and checked out which was quick. Walked to the train and came home. The hotel served it's exact purpose. To sleep. Could've spent twice as much somewhere else, but it was clean and close to the train station, so it was perfect for two guys in town for the night to catch a ball game and hit up someplaces to drink. "Old and dirty"
This was a central location for sightseeing, but the hotel itself was run down and dirty.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Apart from the convenience of the location and the comparative cost, it was a poor hotel. Basic amenities were motel to hostel standard, but definitely not hotel! An apt description would be utilitarian, but definitely NOT a romantic getaway hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"I would recommend terhis hotel."
The lobby and elevator made me wonder what the room would look like. It was surprisingly clean and cozy. It was a little cool for me, but a blanket was supplied. The staff was friendly and the location was excellent. The Market, Hard Rock and other shops were within easy walking distance. I would return to this hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"If only there was a 0 on the scale..."
This was the most ridiculous experience I've ever had for accommodations. I've stayed at much better hostels in developing countries for under $20 a night...not only are the rooms as bad as other reviews already state, though the attendants were worst.." all our rooms are dirty, that's why were cheaper than the others" This was what the front desk person […] said when I asked if they had other rooms. I could go on though I would highly recommend going the the Alyssa or Vintage were we ended up and asking if they could match $170 a night...They did for us and would probably do it again if they have a room open! 1st of all, I got to the hotel late, the area was full of transient people (scary). when I got in the room, rug was filthy, bed spread was dirty. I got on line and booked another hotel with Expedia. I lost money but I would not submit myself to a garbage room.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hotel with central location"
Hotel was centrally located but that's about it. it had dirty carpets it had only three or four TV channels it had no ice it had no hair dryer it was really not a very good room for the money.and WiFi only worked in the lobby.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great location-marginal hotel"
Staff were exceptionally solicitous and helpful but this place is old and run-down. Shower water pressure just a trickle. Don't bring your wife here! She will be unhappy.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I didn't like the fact that there was no cold water. I couldn't take a shower. I also thought that $165.00 for one night, was too pricey.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Old, old, old, No air conditioning and window wouldn't open, ice machine was broken but we could go down the road and purchase some ice per hotel front desk, we asked to get a room with a frig per the internet pictures and amenities for this hotel and the front desk person told us to not believe everything posted on the internet they had no rooms with […] that??, no coffee maker, no refrigerator, no hair dryer, carpet was discusting, towels were like sand paper, a chunk of toilet paper was in the panelling to block the hole in the wall, tv got 4 Chanel's and came in fuzzy, we thought we would get bed bugs, the elevator sounded like it was gonna break down and we heard it in our room as it was in use. We paid 121. 81 for one night, a total rip off!! I have never stayed in a more discusting hotel and never will come back!! I can't believe expedia even offers this hotel. "Old, Tired Hotel"
Realized that with the advertised 3-star rating, things wouldn't be top of the line. I can get by with just the essentials which I expected would be provided. Good Stuff: Clean; surprisingly comfortable bed. Great location for my needs. Not So Good Stuff: Hotel is old, tired, and shows the wear & tear of the years. I arrived to be told the hot water […] had gone out but someone was working on it. Wasn't critical to me until the next morning, but it still wasn't fixed. Cold water showers & shaving are no fun. Heat is steam radiators that started clanking in the middle of the night. Also got too hot. Wasn't sure how to control the temperature. Had to get up and open a window. Overall I was disappointed and wouldn't stay there again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"2 Stars at Best"
The good - The room (other than the rug) was very clean and the guy during the day was really excellent and helpful. The location is excellent. The BAD: This place needs a makeover very much... Rug was filthy.. Paper was pealing off of the wall... Couldn't use bathroom sink because it wasn't connected to anything and kept coming out of the wall. We were there on business at the Washington Convention Center, and were able to walk there from the hotel on most occasions. On days that we had to bring luggage, we took a short cab ride that cost us less than $4.00. We were very close to food, convenience stores, and tourist areas like the Space Needle. This hotel was one of the best priced ones in […] the area, and except for my personal preference in regards to the mattress (too firm), it was as good as any 5 star hotel. "Funky and humbly quaint"
Great food and service at the basement bar and restaurant. No wifi in rooms, only lobby. Too many extension cords in lobby and room .Good helpful desk service, great location. "Pretty close to the Light Rail"
There were black spots on the floor and the cable kept saying "call this number to continue use of satellite dish". The bed was still comfy but the pillows were thin. I stayed in a corner room and it was noisy (fine for me). The staff was nice and helpful. The Wifi only works in the lobby.Genuine Expedia guest review
"On the Go"
This place is in no way modern or up to date. It looks dated, tv only gets a couple channels, windows open up to a big fall, outlets stick out of the wall. However, if what you need is a room downtown and just a place to sleep, it works fine. The staff was friendly. All in all, it fit what I needed.Genuine Expedia guest review
Got to the hotel late about 10.30 - 11pm, My first impression on entering the lobby was that I'd entered the wrong building, there were packages leaning against the wall and I've seen better counters/front receptions at building suppliers; it was pretty average. Check in was easy and the late/night shift concierge was affable and helpful. The lift […] to the ninth floor worked okay. On entering the room it was clean and warm, thats the end of the superlatives, unfortunately the wallpaper was peeling as was a small potion of the ceiling paint in the bedroom and more paper trying to escape from the ceiling in the bathroom. The drapes were not secured in the centre and reminded me of the unflatering rooms I inhabited as a teenager (my own doing not my parents). Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Not what I expected"
When I was searching for a late deal in Downtown Seattle, I mistook this hotel for another that I had stayed in before. I did not read any reviews or details. It was poor all around. There is no onsite parking, there is a garage 3 blocks away that you can park overnight in. There is also only a 3 minute passenger loading area out front, so you cannot […] even haul things up to your room if you are by yourself. The hotel is very old. The elevator is not always done moving when the door opens. The rooms are very rough. The sink was coming off the wall, the shower was old and rusty with a dirty cloth curtain. The bed was tiny and there were only 3 channels on the TV that came in. This is a room that if you were just going to sleep, and was cheap it would be great, but I spent what i usually spend and got a pretty terrible room. I am not all that picky, outside of big cities I take cheap chain rooms all the time. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Prime location but the Hotel is Awful"
Pros: Prime location in downtown Seattle (walking distance to many restaurants, bars, attracts, etc.) Cons: The hotel itself offers very little amenities. Free wi-fi is only offered in the small lobby. No wi-fi is available in the hotel rooms. The rooms are small, dingy, dirty, and old. Bring your own toiletries because the hotel offers only a bar […] of vegetable soap (soap barely suds) and a small bottle of some sort of all-in-one body wash/shampoo/conditioner. There was a stain on the toilet seat (bring disinfectant!). The floor is dirty and looks like it hasn't been cleaned in months (bring your own slippers). No vending machine. I asked the front desk if I could purchase bottled water and he replied that the hotel did not sell any. No parking. Bottom line: pony up a few more bucks and stay somewhere (anywhere) else. This hotel was conveniently located near downtown and the convention center. I was there for a conference and could walk to where I needed to go. The hotel is located on Seneca, which puts you in the center of everything. It looked and felt clean. The building is old and so are the decor and furnishings. Blindly booked this Motel for 2 nights for $265. Great location! Staff wasn't very friendly, and the room was very disappointing. The power outlets kept popping out of the wall, the TV only offered two channels, and the elevator was incredibly slow.Genuine Expedia guest review
I stayed here for a business trip. I chose the hotel for its location but should have looked into it more because it was a bad experience. The toilet seat was cracked, the wall paper was peeling off with drywall debris coming out. No wifi no gym no pool, nothing. The old heater was loud all night long, couldn't sleep at all. Just a very, very old hotel. […] I dropped the remote to the tv, couldn't find it, looked under the bed, and it was nasty down there. The second night I came back around 11:30pm, and the hotel was locked with a sign posted "back in 5 minutes"! "Old and Dingy"
We booked this room because of it's proximity to Century Link Field. We needed a place to get warm in the freezing weather during the Seahawks Victory Parade. For that purpose this hotel was perfect! It was warm and fairly clean. However if you are looking for a place to stay, I wouldn't advise it. The room was tiny, the bed unsupportive. The building […] is very old and looks it. It has old hot water radiators for heat. The millwork is dingy as well as the paint. I think that we could have looked past a lot of this if we would have had TV to distract us. We wanted to watch the local news so we could tell when the traffic cleared and we could leave. The problem was the hotel chooses not to pay for cable service and we had 5 random channels that came in fuzzy from a misdirected satellite dish. It's all on the cheap. If you are looking for a place that has no frills but located right downtown, this is your place. However, I wouldn't pay more than $50 a night for it in the future.
