Perfect location for my stay. Friendly staff. I would stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Dirty everywhere, blank, carpet , bathroom... No heater until 11:00pm, I will never ever go back this hotel in my lifeGenuine Expedia guest review
THE HOTEL WAS NOT SATISFYING BECAUSE IT IS AN OLD BUILDING SO THERE IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH FACILITIES FOR PASSENGERS.Genuine Expedia guest review

Friendly staff. Good restaurant named "Bernard's on Seneca". Good location and inexpensive for downtown seattle compared to the fancy hotels nearby.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good "City" Access"
Think about big cities like New York, San Fran, Chicago...can you find hotels in the heart of the city at affordable prices? Maybe if you're lucky, but chances are you're gonna have to make some sacrifices. Hotel Seattle is old, has character, and is right smack in the heart of downtown. If you lower your expectations and standards for modern amenities […] & cleanliness, and keep your focus on convenience...you probably won't be disappointed! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Perfect for when you just need a place to crash!"
Location was excellent, and price was sub $100. Was in Seattle for a football game, so all the room was needed for was to crash after two late night bar hoppings. It's not upscale hotel chain, but I've had friends whith apartments that were worse. For the value and the location, it's the perfect spot. I'd stay there again no problem. I ranked everything […] a 5 (Very Satisfied) because I was, and I also knew what I was getting into. amazing location and price but you get what you pay for. its a very old building and old rooms. if your looking for an adventurious hope you make it through the nigjt in this spooky old room then tjis is your place.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"stay somewhere else"
The water in the bathroom was brown, there was no wifi, the ceiling was cracked and the paint was peeling off the wall. There were exposed and broken pipes in the bathroom and the hotel didn't provide parking or validation so you have to add $50 for parking for every night you stayGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Okay place to be."
Hotel was close enough to the theater. We used the parking at the convention center.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Okay hotel for the price"
The price of the hotel is awesome for the location. The staff was fine. They didn't go out of their way to help. The room was clean. Everything is very old and worn in this place. The rooms/hotel has character but nothing has been updated for decades. The bed was very uncomfortable - hard as a rock. Very loud in the rooms as the windows/walls are thin. […] The showers was burning hot without able to cool it down then freezing cold and couldn't get warm water. For one night it is doable but don't think we could of stayed another night. "don't stay here"
This was by far the cheapest hotel I found in Seattle, but saving money wasn't worth staying in a room that just felt dirty. The hotel hasn't been updated (or thoroughly cleaned) in decades and lacks the most basic amenities, i.e. a clock, hair dryer, iron and ironing board (although you can get the latter two items from the front desk; the hair dryer […] they gave me didn't work). "Get what you pay for"
This was a great place to store our stuff during the day while we spent our time in the city. After a long day of walking the beds were ok. By the second night, our backs started to hurt. The staff was very nice. The heat was not working in our room and they offered to move us, bring extra blankets and we're very apologetic. The hotel has the perfect […] location from the train stop to the airport and close to downtown things like pikes market. It was good for the price we paid. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"get what you pay for"
For a downtown hotel, price is right. Great location. Hotel needs updating (carpet worn and stained, bathroom walls & ceiling water-stained and peeling) but good value for money if you just need a bed to sleep in. You get what you pay for.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Check your paperwork"
Booked through expedia but the hotel charged my card $152 anyway. They said they made a "mistake". So they refunded it. Unfortunately, it took them 5 minutes to TAKE the money and 3 full business days to return it. They said it's my "bank's fault". I say, No, it's Hotel Seattle's fault for making the mistake to begin with. They didn't care. Told me […] they could do nothing. VERY unconcerned for their mistake. The staff couldn't even tell us how to get Orca cards or how much the transportation cost. They COULD have offered us SOMETHING for stealing $152 from me for six days (they mis-charged me on a Friday, so the money was not available to me until Weds...3 business days). They didn't care. "Not for children"
When taking a shower....the hot water became dangerously hot....had to get out of the shower to safely turn it off. And if you need any amenities past 9 pm..[the closest] store is closed and nothing within reasonable walking distance. This part of Seattle is a ghost town at night.Genuine Expedia guest review

This place made the Bates motel look like 5 star accomodations! I cant believe you have this on your site, its that bad!Genuine Expedia guest review
One of the front desk employees was incredibly rude, the rest were friendly. The hotel is in pretty bad condition, from the carpet to the shower curtains. The worse was the noise from outside trucks, kept me up all night.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great for single traveler, practical, no frills"
Went to a conference in Seattle for 3 days, needed a cheaper hotel that was close enough to walk. Hotel Seattle is good for single travelers, I would not recommend for families. Booked a small room with double bed, was very basic but fine for my purposes. There was no where to put anything on the bathroom vanity, weird. Also as other reviews have stated […] it was cold and you have no control over your heat. Bring a sweater, ask for an extra blanker, not the end of the world. Good location and Seattle is awesome. You get what you pay for and this hotel is adequate if you are not expecting a whole lot but want to decent service, okay room and good location. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Quaint and charming"
Clean, quiet and comfortable room. Just right for the price. Facility has seen better days and is not new and shiny, but it's clean and the people are nice. I love the old-fashioned bathtub and going into the lobby is like stepping back in time. A decent place and again, the price is right.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice Hotel, Great Location!"
I loved this hotel - it was quaint, comfortable, quiet, and safe. It was walking distance of all the great sites in Seattle at an affordable price. If anything, management needs to put some TLC into maintaining their property. The bathroom had been remodeled but the pedestal sink had come off the wall - and it would be a simple repair and make the room […] nicer. Also, the hotel's Dish network wasn't working properly. "Never again. There must be other affordable option"
Old, dirty, cold, unsafe The gal at the front desk was the only thing good about this hotel, she was very nice. The room looked very dirty. The first thing I noticed is that there was no inside latch on the door so I had to rig a chair against it and that made feel very uneasy. I didn't want to step on the carpet even with my shoes on. The bed sheets […] didn't look as if they had been washed after the last guest and the blanket was very thin and dirty. I was freezing all night, even though the "heater" was set up to the highest point. No toilet paper holder and nowhere to put toiletries in the bathroom. No mirror in the bedroom, since there was no shelf in the bathroom I had to "fix" my face on the desk. Please tear down this hotel and build something affordable in downtown Seattle but clean. It doesn't have to be fancy. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
ADEQUITGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Let's be honest: this place isn't a five-star luxury hotel. It's a little hotel in downtown that could use some (read: quite a bit) renovating. That being said, it's a great place to stay if all you need is a pillow to put your head on for a couple nights. There isn't any internet service in your room (there might be some in the lobby, but I never needed […] to find out, being able to do everything I needed to do from my phone), the building shows its age, and the elevator is just down right creepy. I'm not sure whether the front desk attendants know anything about the area because I never needed to ask them. You're within a 5 minute walk of the Seattle Aquarium (go here), Pikes Place Market (Definitely go here) and the Seattle Monorail (use this to get to the Seattle Center). Those last 3 reasons were reason enough for me to stay here. You're also within 10 minutes walking distance of the Amtrak station at King Street. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Old n' Affordable"
(-) Not having Wi-Fi and not having a stand to place anything on in the bathroom was pretty annoying but there is a Starbucks with free Wi-Fi right next door. (+) Room service kept the room clean and it was fun transporting back in time with the extremely vintage comforter, wallpaper, carpet, furniture, elevator, etc. Regale your friends with stories […] of the mysterious door to "Room 487" in the stairwell--management doesn't know what lies behind it! No internet in the room I stayed in, No restaurant, Lounge, TV was 5 local channels with no battery in the remote. Wall paper coming off the walls in the rooms! Elevator needs repair. "Close to everything you want to c in Seattle."
U should check d hotels u associate with. This hotel is so old. No AC, heater is d old style, rusty pipes, not enough outlets, they use extension cord, dirty rug, door doesn't close good, curtains r just a piece of made up material. Sorry, I can go on n on but running out space. I don't know if I should use expedia again. San Francisco was d same.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Affordable but very old and in needs of repair"
This place needs repairs badly. Stained carpets, old furniture, and overall outdated interior needs to be dealt with ASAP. Great downtown location and everybody was very nice but smelly hallways, slow and squeaky elevator and dented doors overshadow whatever positive things this hotel has to offer.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Don't Do It"
Although the location of the hotel is convenient, the hotel is awful. Its old, dirty, no air conditioning, very small rooms in poor condition. My sink in the bathroom was coming off the wall. "Decent location, nothing else."
Rooms smelled terrible. Ceiling was flaking. TV had only 4 fuzzy channels. Beds were old, creaky, and uncomfortable. Staff was less than helpful on phone requesting early check-in due to a need to attend a dress reversal at 2 pm. The girl on the desk upon arrival was friendly, and did get me early check-in after an hour of waiting but the gentleman […] also behind the counter was unresponsive and offered no help whatsoever. "Bare bones for high cost"
When I arrived in the city, there was no shuttle service to the hotel. It is not disability-ready; you have to carry your bags up the steps. Service was minimal; one of the three attendants (the day attendant) was not very helpful in answering questions. Although the hotel claims to have WiFi, the only place it can be used is on the first floor; it […] is not accessible on the other floors (I was on the 7th floor). There is no AC, only open windows; the windows facing the street are noisy, even with the windows closed. The lights would not work properly in the bathroom. It took three people to observe the same thing, including the hotel day manager to finally conclude it could not be fixed on the day of my stay, so I was assigned another room, which fortunately was an upgrade for no extra cost. The elevator is unbelievably slow, although it was functional. The hotel is overpriced, given the lack of amenities. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Don't stay here on your honeymoon! But if you need a place that's cheap and in a great location check in here. Yes, it could use some updates but cheap and fancy don't usually come together. If you want fancy, the W Hotel is around the corner.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Perfect location in need of a scrub"

"Not worth the location"
Knowing very little about the area, I wanted to find a hotel in downtown Seattle as I wasn't sure how easy it would be to drive in and out of the city with my rental car. I was at first happy to find a relatively cheap (comparatively speaking) hotel in Retail District just minutes from the waterfront. However you get what you pay for. The rooms were […] from the 1970s, paint coming off the walls, no way to control the temperature, and the television didn't work. When I went down to the lobby to ask if they could fix the TV, the employee said "A lot of the TVs don't work here. Is that a fair answer?" The hot water also took at least five minutes to come on. In a day, they did fix the TV which then showed four fuzzy channels. I could have stayed in a motel by the airport and had better amenities and service than I got at Hotel Seattle. Not even close to worth the amount of money I had to she'll out for this place. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Bare bones, older bathroom fixtures but it is relatively clean and a good value. I would not take my family here but for a one day business trip it is fine.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"decent value but needs a remodel"
While the price is right, the facilities are old and need repair. The tv cable line that had been ripped out of the wall in our room is a prime example. The closest parking garage is quite a walk. Staff were friendly, though, and the location is great for tourists. Oh, and fair warning: no air conditioning.Genuine Expedia guest review

"A place to put your head"
Except for its clean sheets and towels and good location, this place has nothing to commend it. The staff was polite and friendly, but the rooms were run down, terribly dated, and too small. However, for a short stay, if you do not plan to spend any time in your room, you can get a quiet rest and wake up in a great Seattle location and start your day […] at the Pike Place Market at a cost much less than the surrounding hotels.
