Got to the hotel late about 10.30 - 11pm, My first impression on entering the lobby was that I'd entered the wrong building, there were packages leaning against the wall and I've seen better counters/front receptions at building suppliers; it was pretty average. Check in was easy and the late/night shift concierge was affable and helpful. The lift […] to the ninth floor worked okay. On entering the room it was clean and warm, thats the end of the superlatives, unfortunately the wallpaper was peeling as was a small potion of the ceiling paint in the bedroom and more paper trying to escape from the ceiling in the bathroom. The drapes were not secured in the centre and reminded me of the unflatering rooms I inhabited as a teenager (my own doing not my parents). Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Not what I expected"
When I was searching for a late deal in Downtown Seattle, I mistook this hotel for another that I had stayed in before. I did not read any reviews or details. It was poor all around. There is no onsite parking, there is a garage 3 blocks away that you can park overnight in. There is also only a 3 minute passenger loading area out front, so you cannot […] even haul things up to your room if you are by yourself. The hotel is very old. The elevator is not always done moving when the door opens. The rooms are very rough. The sink was coming off the wall, the shower was old and rusty with a dirty cloth curtain. The bed was tiny and there were only 3 channels on the TV that came in. This is a room that if you were just going to sleep, and was cheap it would be great, but I spent what i usually spend and got a pretty terrible room. I am not all that picky, outside of big cities I take cheap chain rooms all the time. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Prime location but the Hotel is Awful"
Pros: Prime location in downtown Seattle (walking distance to many restaurants, bars, attracts, etc.) Cons: The hotel itself offers very little amenities. Free wi-fi is only offered in the small lobby. No wi-fi is available in the hotel rooms. The rooms are small, dingy, dirty, and old. Bring your own toiletries because the hotel offers only a bar […] of vegetable soap (soap barely suds) and a small bottle of some sort of all-in-one body wash/shampoo/conditioner. There was a stain on the toilet seat (bring disinfectant!). The floor is dirty and looks like it hasn't been cleaned in months (bring your own slippers). No vending machine. I asked the front desk if I could purchase bottled water and he replied that the hotel did not sell any. No parking. Bottom line: pony up a few more bucks and stay somewhere (anywhere) else. EVERYTHING was falling apart in this building. from the 50's wallpaper to fixtures to plumbing. It was a disaster. keep in mind that im a pretty easy going individual! please do yourself a favor and avoid it!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This hotel was conveniently located near downtown and the convention center. I was there for a conference and could walk to where I needed to go. It is a older hotel, but I could over look a few basic accessories for location. Also, I had a mix up in my reservation and the staff went above and beyond to help correct the issue. I highly recommend booking […] a room with them. It privately owned and the staff were very accommodating. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Gets The Job Done"
The hotel is located on Seneca, which puts you in the center of everything. It looked and felt clean. The building is old and so are the decor and furnishings. If you are looking to impress someone this might not be the right place for you, but if you are looking for relatively affordable accommodations downtown––and aren't too picky––this can be a […] good place to stay. "Hotel? More like Motel...."
Blindly booked this Motel for 2 nights for $265. Walked in looked like a old warehouse in the lobby, got a room on the top floor, everything thing was old dirty and stunk of motel, there was however a '26 tv with 6 channels on it. I literally checked out after 15 min and got a room in the W district for $100 cheaper. "Not what we paid for"
Great location! Staff wasn't very friendly, and the room was very disappointing. The power outlets kept popping out of the wall, the TV only offered two channels, and the elevator was incredibly slow.Genuine Expedia guest review
I stayed here for a business trip. I chose the hotel for its location but should have looked into it more because it was a bad experience. The toilet seat was cracked, the wall paper was peeling off with drywall debris coming out. No wifi no gym no pool, nothing. The old heater was loud all night long, couldn't sleep at all. Just a very, very old hotel. […] I dropped the remote to the tv, couldn't find it, looked under the bed, and it was nasty down there. The second night I came back around 11:30pm, and the hotel was locked with a sign posted "back in 5 minutes"! I couldn't get into my own hotel, and it was raining out so I just started walking around the block to kill time, so i could get back in and sleep. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Ok place to sleep for a night but I would not bring my family. Cheap, close to everything, but hard to find parking. Was told by hotels.com parking was included but they didn't even have parking. With the $30 I spent for parking and six blocks of walking I could have stayed somewhere nicer.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Old and Dingy"
We booked this room because of it's proximity to Century Link Field. We needed a place to get warm in the freezing weather during the Seahawks Victory Parade. For that purpose this hotel was perfect! It was warm and fairly clean. However if you are looking for a place to stay, I wouldn't advise it. The room was tiny, the bed unsupportive. The building […] is very old and looks it. It has old hot water radiators for heat. The millwork is dingy as well as the paint. I think that we could have looked past a lot of this if we would have had TV to distract us. We wanted to watch the local news so we could tell when the traffic cleared and we could leave. The problem was the hotel chooses not to pay for cable service and we had 5 random channels that came in fuzzy from a misdirected satellite dish. It's all on the cheap. If you are looking for a place that has no frills but located right downtown, this is your place. However, I wouldn't pay more than $50 a night for it in the future. "SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN AND RENOVATED!"
This hotel was TERRIBLE! The rooms stay at a freezing temperature until night when the furnace may or may not come on and doesn't stay at a regulated temp. There was a hole in the wall. The phone didn't work. The cable was not even cable only 4 channels work. The staff knew the hotel wasn't worth the stay and couldn't do anything but smile at the complaints. […] This hotel was completely a waste of time and money. The ultimate plus is that they have a elevator. I'm completely frustrated about my stay here and it ruined my trip to Seattle! "Location the only thing going for it"
I was extremely disappointed with this hotel. It is in poor condition: very old, stained and dirty carpets, wallpaper peeling off the walls in my room, old faded bedspreads, and banging water pipes that wake you up. It seems to have been neglected for a long time.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"run down hotel next to pike street market"
I was shocked when we walked in... it was disgusting. The pillows were worn, the bedding was pilled up, the pipes in the bathroom had cracked paint falling off, it looked like there was mold around the base boards, there was a giant hair inside the "clean" sheets when we arrived. The mattress was rock hard...smelled musty and old, and HOT in the room. "Stay in Seattle on a budget"
I loved the location. The room was nice and quaint. The only complaint was that there were about five channels on the TV. If you are going to Seattle and plan to be out and seeing the city it is perfect. The staff was polite and very helpful. But you can definitely tell the hotel was built in the 1930s.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Skip this. Great location. Run-down hotel"
PROS: Price was decent for location in the city. CONS: Staff seemed stressed out or paranoid, disinterested. Room was run down, loud heater, mold, no extra pillows or blankets. No coffee, only one (tiny) shampoo/conditioner combo bottle.Genuine Expedia guest review
The hotel is older and in need of some updates. It also smells a little smokey. However, if all you need is a place to sleep, and you don't plan to be in the room all that often, this is a great deal and it's very close to all the downtown attractions. If you need 5-star amenities and room service every hour, I would look elsewhere.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great downtown location."
Convenient to many downtown "site seeing" locatations. That's about the nicesest thing I can say about the hotel. The hotel itself was grudgey and old. Felt like I was in a horror movie.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Okay for the price"
If you are spending this much for a hotel in a downtown, probably you should not hold your expectation too high. Anyway, the hotel should pay attention to their cleaning. My room's […] toilet was not even flushed. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"No parking- like a shelter!"
This place is a dive! No parking , very old & run down, room was freezing cold with an old radiator heater. "OK FOR INEXPENSIVE STAY"
Location is good; hotel is clean but my room did have cracks in the ceiling. It was a very cold wintry night and my room was nice and warm. Lobby looks good; does need more upkeep.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Flashy, new, and ultra clean it is not. But I enjoyed and appreciated my stay at the Hotel Seattle. "Good "City" Access"
Think about big cities like New York, San Fran, Chicago...can you find hotels in the heart of the city at affordable prices? "Perfect for when you just need a place to crash!"
Location was excellent, and price was sub $100. Was in Seattle for a football game, so all the room was needed for was to crash after two late night bar hoppings. "stay somewhere else"
The water in the bathroom was brown, there was no wifi, the ceiling was cracked and the paint was peeling off the wall. "Okay hotel for the price"
The price of the hotel is awesome for the location. The staff was fine. They didn't go out of their way to help. The room was clean. Everything is very old and worn in this place. The rooms/hotel has character but nothing has been updated for decades. The bed was very uncomfortable - hard as a rock. Very loud in the rooms as the windows/walls are thin. "don't stay here"
This was by far the cheapest hotel I found in Seattle, but saving money wasn't worth staying in a room that just felt dirty. "Check your paperwork"
Booked through expedia but the hotel charged my card $152 anyway. They said they made a "mistake". So they refunded it. Unfortunately, it took them 5 minutes to TAKE the money and 3 full business days to return it. They said it's my "bank's fault". I say, No, it's Hotel Seattle's fault for making the mistake to begin with. They didn't care. Told me […] they could do nothing. VERY unconcerned for their mistake. The staff couldn't even tell us how to get Orca cards or how much the transportation cost. They COULD have offered us SOMETHING for stealing $152 from me for six days (they mis-charged me on a Friday, so the money was not available to me until Weds...3 business days). They didn't care. "Not for children"
When taking a shower....the hot water became dangerously hot....had to get out of the shower to safely turn it off. "Great for single traveler, practical, no frills"
Went to a conference in Seattle for 3 days, needed a cheaper hotel that was close enough to walk. Hotel Seattle is good for single travelers, I would not recommend for families. Booked a small room with double bed, was very basic but fine for my purposes. There was no where to put anything on the bathroom vanity, weird. Also as other reviews have stated […] it was cold and you have no control over your heat. Bring a sweater, ask for an extra blanker, not the end of the world. Good location and Seattle is awesome. You get what you pay for and this hotel is adequate if you are not expecting a whole lot but want to decent service, okay room and good location. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Clean, quiet and comfortable room. Just right for the price. Facility has seen better days and is not new and shiny, but it's clean and the people are nice.
