The hotel was nice and clean. The indoor pool area was spacious and the water was nice. The customer service was good and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was in a good location. Close to a big mall and not very far away from many of the attractions. The only problems with the hotel was the mattress and the hallway smell. My husband and I stayed in a hotel room with a king size bed and the mattress was very uncomfortable. The mattress just seemed old and worn down. We were on the second floor and the hallway smelled like cigarette smoke but it wasn't extremely bad. As soon as we went into our hotel room the smell was gone.

The kids and I took a overnight break and went to the Aquarium. The aquarium was close by and there were plenty of restaurants around the hotel to choose from. The beds were comfortable, and I felt particularly safe because there was only one way in and one way out.....the front door so there weren't any issues with outsiders getting into the room from the street. You could tell the room was formerly a smoking room, and that smelled bothered the kids for a bit.....other than that there wasn't a problem.

I know the economy is not doing well, but.... I broke a sweat between the front door of the hotel to my room because they are evidently saving money by not cooling their building. The room was equally as hot and muggy until affter having the room a/c running for over two hours. There were a few funky smells in the room and throughout the building. Nothing that I would call repulsive. ...probably just a result of the high humidity inside of a building like a hotel. So, like I said, if you book a stay there, call ahead and insist that they turn the a/c on in your room a couple hours prior to your arrival time.

This hotel is in a nice area with plenty of other hotels, restaurants & gas stations. The hotel seemed clean enough except for the bugs in the bathroom (they only came out at night). My friend saw a roach in her room. The bed was incredibly hard and uncomfortable. Our friends' door lock mechanism had to be replaced while we were there. This was just an overnight stop for us on our way to Bonnaroo so it wasn't too bad, especially considering the good price for the rooms.

This hotel is not new but is well maintained. My room was really "non-smoking" (i.e. no unpleasant smells), was clean, had new bathroom hardware and everything worked. Yes, breakfast selection inside the hotel is limited: cereal, bagels, jam, cream cheese, coffee, milk, apple juice, plus orange juice on Saturday (?), but self-made waffles are awesome. There are several "breakfast" restaurants right next to it and a lot of "lunch/dinner" places and a WalMart on the other side of I-75. Neighborhood is quiet, five other hotels and a church (remember that you can use Google's StreetView to check out the surroundings). I've enjoyed my stay. Thanks.

The location is great, you have every kind of food eatery minutes away. The only negative was that the young man who checked us in wasn't customer friendly and did not check my ID or credit card when we checked in. He didn't even ask for a confirmation number. The location of this hotel worked well with us. The staff was helpful and the lobby looked nice and the breakfast was fine for a continental breakfast. We were NOT happy with our room though. First of all it smelled strongly of smoke, and it was a non-smoking room. They gave my husband a bottle of deodorizing spray for us to spray down our room. Our view out the bedroom window consisted of looking at piles and piles of litter and trash...I mean ALOT of litter!!! Seems like they could have cleaned up that area. The side of the hotel our window bordered was along the highway so I'm sure alot of that litter and trash came from that but it was horrible!!! Our window had the appearance that it had been broken into before as well which didn't help us feel so secure. All in all...it was reasonable and was just a stopping point on our way to other places. But if was looking for a place to stay longer than a night or so I would look around for something better.
