Staff was very helpful. Location was awesome. However, room was very small and unimpressive. You are definitely paying for the location. Valet was $50 / night. Unless you want to be downtown, there are much better deals 10 mins away. Overall no complaints other than price. But I'm cheap, I only stayed here to impress a girl ( it worked )Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Expected More for the Price"
We spent three nights here. The first day we cam back to our room in late afternoon, and the room had not been cleaned. We called the front desk and had to go to the lobby till it was cleaned. The third day, we returned to our room to find that our keys did not work. We had to again go back to the main desk and get new keys. The staff was nice about […] it and gave us a bottle of wine, however, when you are paying well over $300 a night for room, you should reasonably not have these kind of problems. I stayed in Room 724 on a Thurs night after paying $350 through hotels.com. The room was ok, perfect location for me and the service was great. I tried their restaurant and the menu was expensive for basic foods but i ordered passion fruit salad and got orange salad (apparently they don't update the menu). Room itself was large and the concierge got […] me a plug adaptor i needed (thanks!) but my big problem was the walls are paper thin. I went to bed with ear plugs in at 9:15. I had an adjoining room, separated by a locked door. At around 9:40 I heard my neighbor put his room phone on speaker and then dial the front desk for a wake up call at 4:30. I then heard him call his family (I heard every single word both he AND his wife said, despite my ear plugs) and finally I fell asleep. At 4:30 I heard his wake up call arrive. I could hear him pick up the phone receiver and place it back in the cradle. Then I heard him shower, shave and leave (fortunately quite quickly). The shower makes a heck of a noise. It was kinda like having a room mate. Definitely not worth $350. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Clean, Friendly, spacious corner king room"
It was my boyfriends Birthday so they bumped us up to the top floor. We were sent a complimentary bottle of wine also. The King Corner room was HUGE. I literally did a cart wheel in the room. The bed was super comfy also. Ordered room service and it came up very quickly and was actually really good. The view was also phenominal up on the 22nd floor […] . "Fine hotel near train station & lots of amenities."
Perfectly fine hotel. Nothing extraordinary but clean and right near all amenities including subway and train station.Genuine Expedia guest review
Response by Hyatt Regency Boston Hello Bostongoer, Thank you so much for taking the time to review our hotel. We agree, our location cannot be beat. As for complimentary Wi-Fi, while not available in our guest rooms,is offered free of charge in our lobby and public areas. On your next visit, be sure to check with an associate on how to connect. We’re looking forward to your next stay with us! Thanks again!
"Over Priced Hotel"
Supposedly a luxury hotel but the room was no better than a regular motel room. You are charged extra for everything: bottle water that is provided in the room cost $3.50, parking garage for less than 24 hours was $36, and breakfast buffet was $18 dollars. The buffet food was bad including eggs that were inedible.Genuine Expedia guest review
We were there for a conference at Westin. This hotel was at a very convenient location. 1 block from Chinatown. 1 mile to the marina. We pretty much walked to everywhere, including to the conference. Room was very clean and comfortable. Bathroom was a little old but not bad. Would definitely stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
this was our third stay at the hyatt, the service was excellent as it always is...we weren't totally satisfied with our room, the bathroom was very small, and the door had a lot of peeling paint and water damage, and it wouldn't stay open, so someone was always getting hit by the door as it kept closing....the view was great, but I think for the high […] price we paid, the room should be excellent...with no issues. Only two of the elevators were working, causing long delays. We ended up yaking the stairs from the 17the floor several times. Really disappointing from a brand like Hyatt.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location, average (at best) room"
The hotel is centrally located and within walking distance to local theatre district, shopping and the Common. Unfortunately, the room / infrastructure could use some TLC. There was a high-pitched noise that frequently sounded in our room, and we couldn't tell if it was the plumbing or HVAC or just general disrepair. Additionally, a rusted bulkhead […] was painted over on the bathroom ceiling, and the fixtures (door handles, knobs) didn't look wiped clean. The walls are very thin, and the bedding wasn't as comfortable as some other mid-range hotels. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

I think that a high-end hotel should offer free WiFi in the rooms. After all..you get it at a Holiday Inn.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The Hyatt Regency had a good location, a nice large room. We had purposely left our laptop at home expecting to be able to use a hotel computer and, although we found that in the hotel's Business Center, it was disappointing to find that you have to pay $5.95 for each 15 minute block of use. We were able to print out our boarding passes at no charge, […] but could not print out the receipt for pre-paying our checked luggage. We had a minor issue with housekeeping when the room cleaner was unable to read the note we'd left her asking for four rather than three bath towels, and also, she was unable to understand NOT to take the two pillows under the note as they were clearly marked (with black marker) with our name on them. They were taken from the room but found and returned once we came back to the room and found them gone. The explanation was that the cleaner doesn't understand or read English. Overall the hotel staff were friendly and all-in-all we enjoyed our first visit to explore Boston. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"OK, but nothing spectacular."
Good: Location. Self-park garage in the same building. Quiet at night. Bad: No fan in the bathroom. Counter and the tub not really as clean as they should be (found hairs (!) and soapy spots). NO free internet in the room (really, c'mon, Hyatt, embrace the 21st century) Just OK: Room interior, bed, coffee maker, towels, TV. Nothing to write home about, […] though. Haven't user other amenities (pool, restaurant). To sum it up, I'm willing to pay the steep price for the location, but I've stayed in better hotels nearby. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
My grandson and I went to see The Lion King, which is at the Opera House across the street. After the show, I didn't feel like driving back to New Hampshire, so we stayed at The Hyatt. It was convenient to shopping, theaters, and nice restaurants!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"first time in Boston"
Definitely returning to Boston. This trip was only 3 days and not enough time to fully take in the history of the city. Our stay at the Hyatt was fantastic! Had a corner King room, outstanding. Very clean, very comfortable with a nice city view. The location was perfect, walking distance to the subway and Boston Common and Beacon Hill. I highly recommend […] this hotel! "Great Room - $10 Internet - $72 Parking"
Amazing location right next to the opera house, Chinatown, and Boston Garden. Very comfortable and clean room with a nice lobby. I just can't believe how much it costs and didn't get free internet! Also, understand that the parking garage is owned by the city and does not give any deals to hotel guests. For a 2-night stay over the weekend, we paid A […] LOT in parking fees! I'm not upset at the hotel for this, it's just something to be aware of. I'm sure if we did our research, we would have found a cheaper parking garage. I'd suggest asking the bellman next time if he/she knows of any. By the way, the bellhop that helped me with my bags and finding the sliver line to the airport was great! Overall, great location and wonderful hotel, just a few bummers, but didn't ruin our trip at all. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great Weekend Getaway"
We enjoyed a great weekend away in Boston. This hotel is in downtown crossing and is very central to everything. We walked everywhere we wanted to go. No need to take a taxi or the T. Good location . Room is clean and comfortable. Staffs are friendly and helpful. By far the best hotel . Also thanks to the maids who took care of the rooms. "Hyatt Regency Hotel Boston - a very genial stay"

"Excellent Customer Service"
The Hyatt's customer service is one of the best! From the check-in staff who offered us a couple of drinks to the valet staff who offered us water each time we got in our car and offered to take our empty bottles when we returned from our days' activities. This hotel is in a great location and is very clean and comfortable. If there is any inconvenience, […] it is that you have to take 2 elevators to get to your room. From the valet, you take the elevator to floor 3 where the lobby is. From there you have to take the elevator to your room. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

this hotel is close to two different T lines, making it super convenient to get around. The hotel elevators took a long time, we ended up doing the stairs a lot which was fine, but we had not big luggage! the room size was fine for a city, a typical hyatt room!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Quality hotel, convenient location"
We've stayed in this hotel since before it was a Hyatt. It is a quality hotel, in a convenient location. "I wouldn't return"
While the service was fine I was extremely disappointed to be charged an addition $4.00 for a broken shower hook that basically was cheap & broke as we closed the curtain. This is after paying $412 plus $50 in parking & looking at a view of buildings. Also I would have liked to sit on the terrace by the pool & watch my kids in the pool at the same time […] which I couldn't because it was not set up that way. "Decent hotel in Boston"
My family and I arrived at 3:30, a half hour before check in time, the staff member stated that a room with two beds was not available then said one would be shortly. After an hour of watching many parties check in we finally got our room. Light fixtures had a years worth if dust. Food is over priced! No blankets on the bed. Strange experience.Genuine Expedia guest review
Hotel is OK, but not awesome. I expected awesome for the price. Room was clean, check in pleasant, housekeeping nice. Unfortunate part was 2 elevators to get to room/ from room to street. Restaurant way overpriced!Genuine Expedia guest review

The hotel was excellent, and the view from my room exceptional. "Very nice and clean hotel"
The hotel was nice and clean, and the staff was wonderful. The only drawback was that the nearby area was a little sketchy, but the area immediately around the hotel is fine. But if your going shopping at night there are a lot of homeless people about 1/4 mile away.Genuine Expedia guest review
This was a wonderful hotel, but it would be great if they would add an escalator and remove the second elevator that you have to access each time you enter/leave the hotel. Service was excellent and it is a great location for both business and tourism. It is very close to a number of T-stations which makes it easy to travel around Boston.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great facility with mediocre service"
We arrived at the hotel early in the afternoon, before the room was due to be ready, checked our luggage and went out to tour the city. We returned at 4:00 and were told that our "city-view" room was ready. We handed the desk agent our luggage tags and were told it would be "sent right up." Our city view room turned out to actually be entirely rooftop […] machinery of parts of the hotel and adjacent buildings. OK, we're not going to be spending that much time looking out the window. After 15 minutes, we called down to check on our luggage. This was one of 4 calls we made over nearly an hour until the luggage finally arrived. Each person promised a call back with status, but none actually called. Our check tickets were simply lost. So my wife was late taking her medications, and we were very late meeting our dinner companions because we could not get ready for the evening without our luggage. OK, these things happen. The next day we headed out for more touring, returning at 3:00, ready for a little rest before getting ready for the evening. But the housekeeping staff had not made up the room! Again we had to wait an hour before we could have a clean room and fresh towels - forced to hang out in the hotel's lounge. Our assessment is that this is a fine property. But they are either understaffed or just don't have the training required to provide the level of service appropriate in this price range. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Great Center of it All Location"
The stay was great. The room was comfortable and quiet, and the location was great. I would have given everything a 5 except for two things. First, the room was not ready when I checked in. Second, I ordered room service one night, and had to call back when it had not arrived in two hours. The kitchen had no record of my order, so I had to order again.
