Our stay at the Hyatt was pretty close to perfect. The staff was friendly and accomodating. Room service was timely and high-quality (by hotel restaurant standards). There were always cabs outside at street level, and the nearest T station was located only a quick walk (approx 2 blocks) away. The check-in/-out process was painless. Very disappointed in the sleeping situation. The pillows were so uncomfortable and the bed wasn't as comfortable as last year. Overnight stay with my granddaughter before going to the Boston Opera House to see the Nutcracker. Room service breakfast was served on time and hot. Valet parking was very prompt. We had to check out at 11:00 and we were going to see the Nutcracker at the Boston Opera House across the street and 1:00. Dinner and breakfast were both pricey. Breakfast was expensive but very good. However, dinner was a little disapointing - expensive and average tasting. The hotel was fine. My one concern was the 1/2 full bottle of coke in the back of the mini fridge (only visible when you bent down). It made me wonder what else was missed during cleaning. This was an overall pleasurable experience. We chose the hotel because of the price (one of the cheaper ones in the city) and the location. We paid for the corner king room and it was definitely worth the bit of extra money to get that extra space since we also had a trundle bed in with us. The room itself was clean, comfortable and up to date. The […] bed and pillows were some of the more comfortable ones we've experienced in a hotel (not the best... but very good), and the carpet didn't feel gross. The bathroom was clean, but very poorly lit and had little to no ventilation (Indian food + no fan? Eek!). The internet was a bit of a bummer though, we paid a set amount for the entire time we were there and found it to be laggy and slow, and there wasn't much we could do about it (Hubby needed to connect to work). Everyone that worked there was incredibly nice though, especially the doormen... each one we dealt with was incredibly knowledgeable about the area and even places to eat! I did see a lot of people complain (on different travel sites) about the elevator situation, and personally I had no issues with it. Yes, you do need to take one up to the registration desk and another up to the rooms... but besides being a tad slow, It was fine to me. It's a major city, they have to build up and make use of the space as best they can. Overall, I think this hotel is really good and we will definitely consider staying here again on our next trip!
