The staff working at this hotel were incredibly nice, welcoming and professional. From the concierge, to the check in, everyone was great. "Outdated and Cramped."
The room was somewhat outdated and small. The furniture was nice, but the room seemed cramped. Being on the 20th floor was nice it you focused on the horizon. Very reasonable Hyatt only steps away from the Boston Ballet performance at the Boston Opera. Exceptionally clean hotel with excellent, attentive service. "Beautiful, moderately priced hotel in downtown Bos"
I really don't think you can get much better for the price. Room service was wonderful, my girlfriend and I had a marvelous view of the State House, the room was large enough to comfortably fit a King bed (which was a joy to sleep in.) "Visiting the college boy in Boston"
The hotel was in a perfect spot for us. The room was well appointed, the food and beverage was good quality, though very expensive and the staff was quite helpful, for the most part. The reason they only get a 3 is, when we arrived on Friday evening, it was late and the girl checking us in was tired. She was very nice and when we asked about something […] to eat (at 10:40pm) she said the kitchen normally closed at 10pm but because it was a holiday weekend and there was a big party they were staying open, but not for long. She then proceeded to chatter on and on about check in and when the kitchen was going to close and, although I did not say it out loud, my thought was, please stop talking so that I can get something to eat. "Close to everything but at what cost?"
I stayed at the Hyatt last weekend to celebrate my birthday with a few friends. When we walked in, we were so impressed with the looks of the place! When I got to the counter ready to check in at the designated time and told I would have to wait, my impression started to change. The girl who helped me was very nice and apologetic but after 45 min. I […] decided to check how far along they were. This time a guy helped me and said he had a room immediately ready for me which was great but had me thinking how much longer would we have to wait before they told us the room was ready had I not spoken up? So we finally get to the room and there was a space where the fridge was supposed to be, but no fridge. When I called down they sent one up free of charge explaining they were in the process of switching out fridges. Also no wifi? It just had me thinking the cost of room did not equate to what we were given. I understand it was a busy weekend at the hotel but I've had better experiences at lower quality hotels. I must say though, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. I can't say I'll plan my next stay at this particular hotel but my experience wasn't terrible, it just was less than I expected. I booked this hotel because of all the great reviews i had seen. When i got there and went to checked in with receptionist she had a bad attitude. She could not find my reservation. I gave her my conformation number and told her that it is already paid for. She said I don't care if its paid for i cant find u in the computer system. Manager had to find […] it in the system. They said they had mini fridge on website and there is no mini fridge in any of the rooms and had to use ice machine. They also said they had a hot tub or jacuzzi on the website in the pool area and there wasn't one just a pool. Besides that the stay was great. Great room service. "Fabulous! Half block from Opera House."
First time and I really loved this hotel. Stayed there to see the musical Once(fabulous!), turns out the cast was staying there as well during their tour. It is a half block to Opera House, which is surrounded by a decent amount of restaurant/bar options. I found all staff I encountered to be above par, from the door man to check-in to the bar staff […] and the wait staff at breakfast. Breakfast buffet is excellent, great variety with lots of healthy choices. Buffet is a bit pricey at $22, better to get it in a pkg deal. The public spaces are very stylish and modern. Discovered upon arrival that valet parking is $50. So parked the car ourselves in the garage adjoining the hotel. Turns out it is $36.00 per 24 hours, and an additional $16 each time you want to take the car out. When we arrived I felt that the customer service person was not nice at all after I had spoke with someone the day before and cleared a problem from reserving from hotels. The Hotel is in an excellent location and the staff was fantastic. If you are bringing a car be careful of the rates and check to see if you can get a parking validation for a discount or if it is cheaper for valet parking.
