We arrived early in the morning of the day we had booked after driving all night but check-in time was 3PM so technically we had to either wait until then to check in or pay for an extra day, but the man at the desk was very understanding and empathetic towards my pregnant wife and was able to get us into our room so we could take a nap before meeting with family later in the day. We essentially got an extra half-night of sleep than we paid for. The location couldn't be better and is just right across the road from the Embassy Suites where our family stayed, but was more than we wanted to pay.

It met my needs and the bed was sooooo comfortable! It was quiet enough for me to sleep in on a Saturday :) and the hotel staff were very helpful getting my luggage up the few steps to the elevator. This is an older hotel so don't expect all the extra fancy things you might find in other hotels and it doesn't charge for those either. The room was fresh, clean, and cozy although the side chair was warn and had a stain on it. My stay was well worth overlooking such a small detail.

My wife and I just finished a 10 day work/vacation trip to New Mexico. The last six nights were spent at the Plaza Inn in Albuquerque. There was nothing that we could have reasonably expected from a motel that the Plaza Inn did not provide. The staff was gracious, and friendly, and helpful - qualities that you do not always find at the more expensive hotels/motels. The motel had a well-appointed exercise room, and a pool and hot tub, and a reasonably-priced laundry - all of which I made good use of. The large pool also has a foosball table and a ping pong table - both of which my wife and I used as a pleasant diversion. The only thing missing from this motel was an exorbitant price. The Plaza Inn is located at a major Albuquerque intersection - Lomas Avenue and I-25 - and provides quick and convenient access to all of the Albuquerque area in just minutes. I will always stay at the Plaza Inn on future trips to Albuquerque, and will recommend this motel to all.

Before booking, I checked the reviews and based on the comfort, I selected this hotel and am grateful for doing so. Yes it is an older hotel and its 'vintage' state is so, but for the price, you can't beat it. The service was EXCELLENT, beds were CLEAN and COMFORTABLE, bathroom was roomy and clean, and although the furniture was outdated, it served its purpose. Now I can state that we did have probs with the A/C but service arrived promptly and took care of the problem (the hotel may need to check further into it). Again, for the price (1/2 of what we were going to stay just across the fwy) this was well worth it.

The location was decent, very close to alot of things and not far from downtown. The overall feel of the hotel was dark, old, and in need of a remodel, however, it was clean. Overall if you are looking for a decent budget hotel, this is not bad. Just don't expect a typical 2.5 star hotel.

The chain lock was missing its chain so I propped a chair under the doorknob. Someone's car alarm went off twice during the night - but that's not something the hotel can control. Our only problems were that we were on the 5th floor and our air conditioner really had to fight to keep it cool but it was comfortable, and our water pressure was a little on the slow side. Unfortunately, the hotel was a little run down... the lamps were torn, the sliding door to the patio was off the track, and the closet door was also off the track. The bed did allow a good nights sleep every night, but it wasn't amazing. If you dont mind those few off-putting features, then I say definitely book it. The rooms were kept clean and the cleaning lady didn't come too early so it allowed time to sleep in. It's right around a shopping center in albuquerque and is right near the downtown area; the location's great. The customer service was also great with quick response! I suggest asking for the complimentary continental breakfast with your room because it wasn't a typical danish and coffee; there was eggs, biscuits & gravy, waffles & much more. Overall, I was very pleased with the stay.
