Arrived close to midnight (flight delay), yet the friendly multilingual staff on reception were all ready and welcoming for us. Beautiful suite, air-conditioned, quiet, clean and spacious (a complimentary upgrade), and we loved the jacuzzi bath. Breakfast is served over a long period in the mornings and with a tasty selecton of international and Danish hot and cold choices. Hotel is easy walking distance to several week's worth of downtown attractions. The staff also helped us with all local bus details so we could visit the zoo, and they organised a 1 day tour of Sweden for us. A relaxing vacation at a very acceptable price.

The hotel staff was fabulous and the rooms were spacious for European hotel rooms- plus very nicely decorated! Great hotel!

The Imperial was within walking distance of many places we wanted to see but the room was quiet. The public areas were contemporary, clean and very nice. The breakfast buffet was good but check to see if it is included in your rate or the cost is high. The room was very spacious for European standards but the lighting was dim. One center light bulb was out when we checked in and though we called right away it was not fixed 2 days later on check out. There were no electical outlets in the bathroom for hair styling and the provided hair dryer gave off very little air. No other mirrors or outlets meant bad hair days! The staff were friendly and helpful regarding tours.

Nice clean hotel, rooms small but nice bathrooms. Location is very close to train station & Tivoli but a bit of a walk from the waterfront where there are a lot of sites. Free internet service provided which is very nice but they don't limit the time or function (e.g. business use only) so it is very difficult to get on the computer to even check-in for your flights because kids & young adults are on them for hours playing games.

If you need to be in Downtown CPH, close to Tivoli and shops, this is a great location. The rooms are small, they gave me a paid upgrade offer and still it was very small, the hotel pictures really fool you. Their checkout system is not good, lots of manual handling with the system and made me wait 10 min while the meter on my cab was running. For the next visit I will try another place. Room service food is awful, $80 USD for 2 dishes with no flavor.

I really don't understand how anyone could give this hotel a bad review. The room was very clean and comfortable, not to mention very nicely decorated. They have a very good bar/restaurant. I've stayed in two other hotels in Copenhagen and the Imperial was the only one of them with air conditioning in the rooms. That is actually typical of hotels in many European cities. The only thing is that it is on a very busy street and I imagine if your room was in the front of the hotel it might be noisy. My room was in the back so I didn't have that problem. Also, the reviewer who said he wished it was closed to the shopping district is either lazy or nuts - it's only 3 blocks away.
